Ohio State is 9-0 against Maryland and has never lost to them anywhere: 5-0 in Columbus, 4-0 in College Park. Every meeting has come since Maryland joined the Big Ten, beginning with a 52-24 Ohio State win on Oct. 4, 2014. Across the nine games Ohio State has scored 496 points, an average of 50 a game, and only two of the nine have been conference games. A tenth meeting scheduled for Nov. 14, 2020 was cancelled.
The widest was 73-14 on Nov. 9, 2019, Ryan Day's first season. The closest, by a distance, was Nov. 17, 2018 in College Park: Maryland led 17-3 after a quarter and 24-17 at halftime, still led into the fourth, tied it at 31 on a K.J. Hill touchdown catch from Dwayne Haskins, and pushed Ohio State to overtime at 45-45 before losing 52-51 on a failed two-point conversion. Haskins threw for 405 yards that day. Ohio State won the most recent meeting 37-17 in Columbus on Oct. 7, 2023, after being held scoreless in the first quarter.
