Oklahoma is 2–0 against Michigan, and both meetings are worth knowing. The first was the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1, 1976, closing the 1975 season, when third-ranked Oklahoma beat fifth-ranked Michigan 14–6 and clinched Barry Switzer's second straight AP national title. It remains the only bowl or postseason meeting between the two programs, and the two have never met in the College Football Playoff.

The second came on Sept. 6, 2025 in Norman, a 24–13 Oklahoma win over Michigan in which John Mateer ran for two touchdowns and threw for another. That was the opening half of a home-and-home agreed to back in 2014, which makes Saturday the first regular-season Oklahoma-Michigan game at Michigan Stadium.
