More! More! More! Ask and ye shall receive, fellow Chroniclers. Today’s special surprise vodcast features our lovely first lady of liquid metal, Shirley Manson, as she teams up with Executive Producer/Writer John Wirth to give you their top five (or so) favorite reasons to tune into this week’s all-new episode, The Good Wound.
Catch the podcast at it’s real home before it’s too late! And help a friend out! Post it everywhere — message boards, your blog, facebook page, forehead, etc, etc.

Thanks again for another kewl vodcast! Shirley Manson is awesome! Oooh… knife into flesh. Sounds painful. Twin liquid metal blades sound even more painful. Looking forward to Friday!
This is a great surprise! Now what else can we expect in the next three days?
“Richard T. Jones . . . is he even in this one?”
I love it
Awe, thank you guys so much! ^_^ You seriously are the coolest producers, writers ,cast and crew I have ever seen. Thank you for being awesome!
This was a very pleasant surprise.
You guys are the coolest.
Thank you!
Thank you guys! You rock the boat!
Another odd way for me to say thanks for the new podcast!
This is an ode to the crazy Connor “household.”
Somebody alert the neighborhood watch! The Connors are moving in next door! LOL!

“…Our house here has a crowd
There’s always something happening
And it’s usually quite loud…”
True… too true!
Crossing my fingers that the Back 9 are super spectacular… or I’m going to be asking for a refund on my Season 1 Blu-ray set.
What…wait… can he do that?
I loved the surprise! Shirley is amazing!
Of course Shirley has really grown into her roll.
The only thing I REALLY want to know on these podcasts right now:
When are Riley and Jesse gonna die? Um, I mean leave the show… permanently. Yeah, that’s what I meant.
Riley helped John slide down to the level of a puddle of moronic mush where I’m at the point where I want to put him in a punching bag and practice some Tai Bo on his ass, so I’d say she’s as culpable as Jesse in many ways. She played along and made things BAD… really BAD. I sorta kinda feel bad for Riley, but since there was nothing much for me to hang my hat on with her character this season except loathing her with a passion that is unhealthy, even in the reveal of her being from the future and a pathetic gutter snipe, I wish she would dry up and blow away.
She goes missing… but is she gone for good?!! Please? Pretty please, with sugar on top?
knife into flesh flashed my right back to T2 when arnold cuts his arm off
to expose his metal arm… probably not gunna have cameron cut off her flesh,
but it definitely sounds promising
Thanks for the present… Loving these podcasts!
Don’t really get all the hate Riley receives… She is just being used. Interesting character, I am eager to see where that goes, both with her and John and her and Cameron! And Jesse… Well you need some interesting bad guys, and she is just that. I hate her, so everything is as it should be
There is nothing HATEFUL, just loathful about her.
The time she’s on screen is like the show’s oxygen gets sucked right out along with all the money in everyone’s wallet. It grinds to a screeching halt.
Some of it, I will admit, is because oh, maybe… 99.99% of the viewers (except the .01% of a vocal minority) liked the increasing biplay between John and Cameron in Season 1 and then somebody (the writers… TPTB… who knows at this point??) completely flipped the dynamic of the Connors and Cameron in Season 2.
Riley was a good example of that disintegration of the good interdynamics of our supposed heroes (hence part of the hate). Not only did they have to now bumble around with blind leads for more than half of the season, but the audience was thrown into weird story tangents and the show became a mixture of good and bad and sometime head-scratchingly out-of-left-field storylines and writing… and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many new and fairly insignificant side characters that came and went like New York City’s Grand Central Station!
Sarah is unreliable, Derek is doing God knows what, John is a do-nothing, get people shot for no reason but selfishness, numbnut all of a sudden, Riley is a pain in the rear, and Cameron jumps all over the place in her development from episode to episode and even WITHIN the SAME episode.
Consistancy in the characters and the story telling, again, WITHIN most of the episodes is fragmented and carved up (like you’re getting a leaflet rather than a complete novel) and the forward momentum seems to have slowed or reversed itself. We have been over this ground before… many times.
Many of the changes this season both story wise and character wise DID NOT WORK. It’s as simple as that. I’ve read too many grumbles from even die hards to let it pass on my radar.
Yes, even the fans who dress up like medieval knights and give kooky reviews on YouTube are frustrated with the spottiness of Season 2.
Let’s get real here again for a moment from all the fan gushing about podcasts and prizes.
That’s why I say the Back 9 need to be 100 times greater than most of Season 2 or I may not want to watch a season 3 even if it’s 95% Summer Glau and her fine acting as Cameron, if the writing hasn’t picked up.
I hope they really do care about this show and that it’s not just being used as some cheap PR buzz for the next three movies, and whether it gets picked up again, or improved and freshened up, or given a bigger budget really doesn’t matter to TPTB at Halcyon and WB… and even Fox as long at the word Terminator stays on people’s lips for the next three summers so they can cash in.
I would be greatly disappointed if that were the case.
thanks to shirley for doing a podcast, she seemed excited about doing the sword hand thing in next ep, and the fans are looking forward to that scene also.
shirley has done a good job with this role. I liked her character more and more as the season went along. I also read the bear blog about the making of the song for ep 2×01, and I see alot of work went into that , but the song was pretty good.
well 2 of the actors on the show have done a podcast ,so whos next, I hope they all do one, even Riley…. the question is can anyone out do “one day with Dekker ” ?
shirley & john, loved the podcast! i did count more than 5 reasons to watch, but i don’t need reasons, i was hooked from day one last year. terrible as it may sound no one i know watches the show but don’t care. i enjoy it, is all that matters. my brother mentioned some interest in watching it at a later time…i think he has a crush on summer glau.
Shirley is just so cool. Can’t wait for the Weaver slicing and dicing action.
shirley seems to be having the time of her life. i just love how dubious everyone is about there being a video podcast, and how they all seem fairly skeptical that it’ll ever be seen - but we love it! thank you so much for all these little extras, they really add to the “cult” feeling around this show.
roll on friday!!
I really wish I could watch these but this one takes every bit of 10 minutes. Usually I can let a you tube video run all the way through with the sound off then when I rerun it, it plays all in one go. These videos take just as long the second time. It is a bug but I suspect you guys consider it a feature. It’a a PITA
Loved it guys, I love Shirley and her accent. She seems like a blast to work with on set.
Hah, very nice!
