The Raiders and Dolphins have been meeting since 1966, when both were American Football League clubs, and the series carries one of the most replayed endings in league history: the 1974 divisional playoff that finished with Ken Stabler throwing off his back foot to Clarence Davis in the end zone, the play known as the Sea of Hands. Miami had won that season's first sixteen quarters of playoff football across three years. Allegiant Stadium has been a harder place for Miami than the Oakland years ever were.
