Michigan State leads this series 30-24 across 55 meetings dating to 1913, though the recent record runs the other way — Wisconsin has won two of the last three. The most recent meeting was an overtime game in East Lansing in 2022, a 34-28 Michigan State win, and the two have not played since.

Michigan State's last trip to Madison came in 2019 and did not go well: Wisconsin won 38-0, one of the shutouts in a season in which the Badgers allowed three points across the first halves of their first six games.
