Ryan Browne threw for a career-high 317 yards on 23-of-29 passing with three touchdowns and no interceptions, spreading them to Chauncey Magwood from 6 yards, Tra’Mar Harris from 7 and Asaad Waseem from 18. Waseem, in his Purdue debut, finished with six catches for 107 yards. It was closer than the final suggests for a half, with Purdue ahead only 16-6 at the break, before the Boilermakers outscored the Sycamores 28-13 after it. Don Saunders put the game away 12 seconds into the fourth quarter, stepping in front of a Brady Allen throw and returning it 35 yards for a touchdown and a 44-6 lead in his own Purdue debut. Purdue finished with 523 total yards to Indiana State’s 284 and, more to the point, snapped a 10-game losing streak that had run back into the 2025 season.
