New Mexico led 20-0 at halftime and shut Central Michigan out until the fourth quarter. Luke Moga was efficient rather than spectacular, going 13-of-17 for 116 yards and a touchdown, and the Lobos leaned on volume instead: 205 rushing yards, 28 first downs to Central Michigan’s nine, and 37:29 of possession. James Laubstein scored twice from short range, Scottre Humphrey ran for 64 yards and a touchdown, and Grant Glasgow was 3-of-4 on field goals with a long of 49 for 12 points. Central Michigan never solved the New Mexico front, finishing with 149 total yards — just 30 of them passing — while its two quarterbacks combined to go 7-of-16 with two interceptions. Nasir Williams provided the only Chippewas score, a 23-yard run capping a 10-play, 75-yard drive.
