How sharks are helping scientists collect critical ocean data

Researchers are taking a new approach to tracking hurricanes — by using sharks. Aaron Carlisle, Associate Professor in the University of Delaware’s School of Marine Science and Policy, joined FOX Weather to explain how sharks can serve as freely roaming ocean monitors by collecting valuable ocean data that could help scientists improve hurricane forecasting and better understand storm development.
