Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent visited EVAT Magnetics, a rare earth magnet processing plant in South Carolina. The CEO, Dr. Erik Eschen, emphasized the plant's significance as a "game-changer," allowing the U.S. to produce its first rare earth magnet outside of China in 25 years and reduce dependence on Chinese manufacturing.
