North Georgia weather forecasters report that while recent rainfall has helped shrink the extreme level four drought zone, the region remains stuck in drought conditions. Squeezing a full recovery into a 30-day period would require 9 to 10 inches of rain. However, there are promising signs of above average rainfall as meteorological summer kicks off.
