Filets Three Ways

For this Elimination Challenge, Josh faced off against David. The task was to cook three filet mignons to three different temperatures - rare, medium rare, and well done. Although both cooks struggled to hit the proper marks with their steaks, in the end, Josh edged David and stayed in the MasterChef kitchen.

  • Three 8-ounce filet mignon steaks (each about 1 1/2-inches-thick)


To cook a medium rare steak

  1. Season 1 steak with salt and pepper.
