West Coast swing is an upbeat dance style descended from the Lindy Hop and is mostly performed in a "slotted area," an imaginary eight- or nine-foot long rectangle in which the performers' movements are contained. Latin Ballroom specialist Pasha Kovalev and breakdancer Sara Von Gillern's Season 3 West Coast swing number is considered by many to be one of the best routines in "So You Think You Can Dance" history. The performance to "The Rockafeller Skank" by Fatboy Slim was created by two "So You Think You Can Dance" alumni: choreographer Benji Schwimmer (the Season 2 winner) and his assistant (and cousin), Heidi Groskreutz.
