Massive cross-country storm set to impact more than 120 million people across 35 states

A massive storm system is sweeping across the country, impacting more than 120 million people with heavy rain, life-threatening flooding and severe weather. The storm brought damaging winds to the Plains on Monday, with some areas recording gusts as high as 80 mph. As the system shifts south, the threat of damaging winds and a few tornadoes continue. By the end of the week, the East Coast will experience heavy rain.
