All nine people on board a Bahamas-bound business jet were killed Sunday afternoon when the aircraft nose-dived into a South Florida neighborhood and erupted into a massive fireball. The twin-engine Learjet 60 had departed from Austin, Texas, before dropping 27,000 feet in a single minute and striking the ground near a busy roadway in Palm Beach County. Federal investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration have assumed control of the scene to determine the cause of the crash, which left a deep, fiery crater just feet from residential homes.
