Episode Recap

Aired: 4/12/10

A baby girl is born at Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital to Donald and Sarah Losinski. They are in the patient room with Donald's seven-year-old son, Walker. Donald goes to get food from the cafeteria, and when he returns, the baby is not there.

Cuddy checks with Nurses Maldonado and Smits, who attended to Sarah in the maternity ward. The baby is not in the nursery. Cuddy lets Donald know that the baby's hospital bracelet has not triggered any alarms, so the girl is still in the building. Cuddy orders a lockdown of the hospital. Everyone must stop what they are doing and stay where they are.

Cameron comes to see Chase to get him to sign their divorce papers. He won't sign until they have a real conversation about their relationship. They are stuck together in a clinic room as the lockdown is announced. Although they are at first silent with each other, they are forced to to rehash their problems.

House tries to escape the lockdown and sneaks into a room occupied by a sleeping patient named Nash. The patient wakes up, despite being on morphine. House checks his chart; Nash has Ischemic cardiomyopathy and the drug is not reaching his stomach, causing nausea. Nash needed a heart transplant but has diabetes and did not take his medicine. He recognizes House, and says that he tried to get him to take his case.

Trapped in the cafeteria, Wilson and Thirteen try to combat boredom by playing truth or dare. She is an expert player, but refuses to divulge anything about her relationship with Foreman. Wilson dares her to show her breasts to Taub.

Taub is in the basement file room and is surprised by Foreman, who came there to get the exact same file. Taub suggests that they snoop on the human resources' staff credentials files since no one will be bothering them. Foreman is hesitant, but agrees to only look up House's files. After they read that every patient is "Lisa Cuddy," they realize that the files are phony. Foreman shows Taub a couple of Vicodin pills he confiscated and they decide to try a House-sized amount.

Security officers speak with Sarah, who gets out of bed to look for her baby. Donald wonders why they are not interviewing Nurse Smits, who he thought acted strangely with his son, Walker. Nurse Smits explains to Cuddy that she was worried about Walker pinching his baby sister while he was holding her because of sibling rivalry. Cuddy interviews the parents and Walker.

House finds out that Nash is a Classics professor at Princeton without any family or friends. House offers to unlock the morphine regulator so that Nash can endure the remaining hours he has. Nash thinks House is the one that wants to numb out instead. Nash asks House about his leg pain, and House tells him how the pain has migrated.

Foreman and Taub are lying on the floor, enjoying the effects of the large dosage of Vicodin.  Taub sees that Foreman took his own credentials file. Taub reads from it and discovers that Foreman faked a lab result. Foreman explains how he needed to beat his other, more entitled classmates he was around. Foreman checks Taub's file and finds his accomplishments to be far superior to the other doctors. He wonders why Taub is so modest. Taub replies that he is not where he thought he would be in his career.

Chase asks Cameron if she ever loved him. She concedes that she does not know, and admits to being a mess. Chase signs the divorce papers. They share memories that they will miss, and one of hers is dancing. Chase plays a song from his cell phone and they embrace in a dance. This leads to a kiss, and then much more.

Thirteen dares Wilson to steal a dollar. Wilson asks the cashier to make a chicken sandwich for Thirteen to distract her from the cash register. Wilson tries to steal a dollar and this sets off an alarm. He calls off the game. Thirteen comes clean about some of her answers. Her father does not know about her bisexuality or her illness. She admonishes Wilson for putting off his own life to protect House. Wilson admits that he has been in touch online with his ex-wife.

Nash confesses to House that the woman he misses is his estranged daughter. House tells Nash that he thinks about the woman he met in the psychiatric hospital. House gives Nash the telephone to say goodbye to his daughter. He calls and gets the answering machine. Nash says he really only wanted to hear her voice, but House forces him to leave a message.

As Donald and Sarah argue, she discloses that Donald thought a new baby was too much work. Cuddy tells security to question the father. Cuddy goes into Sarah's bathroom to get her some tissues when she notices that there are extra towels. At the nurse's station, Nurse Maldonado seems out of it. She is having a pilomotor seizure. Cuddy theorizes that she must have had them all day long. She could have taken the baby and not realized it.

Cuddy and Nurse Smits search the utility room for the missing baby. There should be a cart in there. Cuddy finds it in the hallway of the maternity ward. The baby is sleeping in it under a pile of used towels. Cuddy returns the daughter to her family.

After they have sex, Chase and Cameron lie together on the exam table. They hear the announcement that the lockdown is over but they hesitate to get up. Cameron leaves Chase with a proper goodbye.

Wilson tells Thirteen that he asked his ex-wife to dinner. He realizes that Thirteen has not been completely truthful to him in their game.

Taub and Foreman tidy up the files in order to leave the file room. Foreman decides not to take his file with him. Taub hangs back. He takes the incriminating lab report page from Foreman's file and shreds it.

Having called his daughter, Nash is ready for the morphine drip. House says he is sorry he did not take his case. So is Nash.

Taub is leaving the hospital when Thirteen walks by and flashes her chest to him. Taub comments that it has been an interesting night.
