      • Peter and Dr. Walter Bishop prepare to explain to the Fringe teams that David Robert Jones plans to collapse both universes and create his own. The process begins when 27 earthquakes happen simultaneously in both universes.
      • After Agent Olivia Dunham determines that Jones is using former Cortexiphan kids to achieve his goal, Peter and Agent Lincoln Lee roll out to capture Nick Lane.
      • The Fringe team hopes to arrest Nick and prevent another wave of earthquakes. Peter spots him in the quad moments before the next attack.
      • Nick Lane heads to a precise spot at a university. Jones recruited him and the others to psychically link to their doppelgangers and make both universes vibrate at the same frequency.
      • They nab Nick, but the earthquakes happen anyway. Agent Phillip Broyles heads to Washington to discuss the drastic move of turning off the Machine to break the psychic link.
      • As Peter examines Nick's alt-universe timer, Lincoln says the Other Side knows the recovery process will stop if the Bridge closes. But they want to survive, so what choice is there?
      • Peter says it will be weird never seeing the Other Side people again, but home is where the heart is, so he's staying here. The timer indicates another attack in six hours.

      • It's November 2036, in some bleak universe where the Observers rule. Young Fringe agent Etta seeks help from Nina Sharp after finding Dr. Walter Bishop, self-preserved in amber for 20 years.
      • Etta and fellow Agent Simon Foster got Walter out, but he has neural damage and can't remember the original Fringe team's plan or where they're hidden.
      • Nina's public harshness toward Etta is just an act, because she can't hide her thoughts from the Observers. Only Etta can do that.
      • Nina's amazed to see Walter. She asks about the others, but Etta says if Walter knows where they are, he's unable to tell them.
      • Simon asks if Nina can fix Walter. She reminds them of the risks of saving the world. The agents say that Walter's team did it before. Yes, but with great consequence.
      • Nina tells them about a piece of Walter's brain still locked up at Massive Dynamic. They could use that material to inspire Walter's brain to fix itself.
      • They'll have to sneak into a vault at MD's old facility in the City, which is crawling with Observers. Simon says, we've done harder. Etta says, no, we haven't.

      • Walter looks at a warning board that shows the environmental hotspots around the city. Bolivia tells him her world has been healing since the Bridge was created.
      • Lincoln and Bolivia listen as Walter says he and William Bell never imagined an event that happened in one universe would cause a reaction in the other. If David Robert Jones is behind this, he's conceived of something new.
      • Colonel Phillip Broyles arrives home after a long day. His wife, Diane, says their son, Christopher, can't stop talking about some girl in his class.
      • Diane gives Phillip a comforting hug. She's sorry he lost Captain Lincoln Lee, who was buried today.
      • Broyles asks where's Christopher, and Diane says he's in the living room, entertaining Broyles' friend. What friend?
      • His friend is David Robert Jones. It's against the protocols for Jones to come to Broyles' home, but when has protocol ever stopped Jones?
