FOX Writer's Initiative

NOTIFICATION UPDATE: This year's judging process was the most challenging in the history of the program. We had many more quality scripts submitted than we have slots funded in our budget. The Finalists for the 2008 edition of the program have all been notified as of today.

Some Results...

• In the 2006-07 season, 87% of FOX Broadcasting Company (FBC) series had at least one diverse writer on staff, continuing to increase each year (80% in '04-'05).

• 25 of 69 Writers Boot Camp graduates from the beginning of the program have gone on to work as Staff Writers or Writers Assistants on a primetime series, most for FBC.

• In the 2006-07 season, we employed 8 Story Editors on FBC series whose first jobs were as Staff Writers under the Fox Diversity program.

• 2007-08 scripts are currently being polished after being delayed by the WGA strike.
