Legacy performed a b-boy solo and paired up with Ellenore for a hot contemporary piece and a hip hop number. Mary said, "Legacy you were amazing and this wasn't your style."

Top 10 - 12 / 01 / 09

Legacy took on fast contemporary and slow hip hop routines before he performed a solo in his own style. The audience, including the choreographers, gave this b-boy's solo a standing ovation.

Top 12 - 11 / 24 / 09

Legacy partnered Kathryn in a jazz routine and in the Viennese Waltz. Nigel saw musicality in Legacy that he never saw in him before.

Top 14 - 11 / 17 / 09

Legacy triumphed in a passionate Paso Doble with Kathryn. Nigel admired that Legacy is always practicing everywhere he goes and he said "It’s that passion and hunger and need for knowledge that is going to push you into the Top 10 this season."

Top 16 - 11 / 10 / 09

Legacy tackled Broadway choreography with Kathryn. Nigel said that Legacy was terrific and is "an inspiration for his choreographers."

Top 18 - 11 / 03 / 09

Legacy Perez showed maturity in a contemporary routine with Kathryn. The judges were blown away by how much the b-boy has grown in a very short period of time.

Top 20 - 10 / 27 / 09

B-boy Legacy Perez and his partner Kathryn McCormick met with Dave Scott to learn a primitive hip hop routine. Mary said that Legacy was "so precise, so into character, and so hard-hitting."

Meet Top 20 - 10 / 27 / 09

B-boy Legacy Perez danced a stunt-filled hip hop routine with Russell and Kevin. Nigel said that Legacy has already grown so much as a dancer.

Las Vegas - 10 / 22 / 09

When b-boy Legacy Perez found out he was in the Top 20, he was in complete shock until all six judges announced simultaneously, “You’re in the Top 20!"

No way – my father tried hard.

No. I just saw it and fell in love.

I street perform for donations.
What has been your most memorable dance experience?
All of them are memorable. Doing what you love, loving what you do is memorable.
What have you learned so far in going through the audition process for this show?
How much I love learning new styles of dance and meeting everyone who is so talented on Earth.
What are your favorite dance moments from movies, TV and/or stage?
“Singin’ in the Rain” with Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse

All of the ones from the show :)

If so, who? Dave Scott – He choreographed Stomp the Yard
What style do you hope to pick out of the hat? Which style of dance are you afraid to get?
I want ballroom so I can get to work on it fast. I am not afraid of any style; I am just excited for what’s to come.
Is there a particular type of dance that you don’t know but want to learn?
All of the dances I’m not familiar with except mine and hip hop. :)
Which So You Think You Can Dance alumni do you look up to and why?
Twitch – He’s humble and an amazing dancer. Lauren Gottlieb – She’s a brilliant dancer and a great person.
What do you hope to gain from this experience?
Experience and knowledge about struggle and passion/transformation.
What does making it to the Top 20 mean to you?
It means an opportunity to become better and share with the entire world. :)
What would you like America to know about you?
I want to share with the entire world my energy and talent.
