Jakob performed a Mandy Moore jazz piece with Ashleigh. Nigel Lythgoe called him an "absolutely stunning dancer."

Jakob Karr and his partner Ashleigh performed a wedding themed Viennesse waltz. Nigel Lythgoe said that Jakob is "such a beautiful dancer. Your lines are fantastic."

SCUBA diving and anything/everything pertaining to water activities

Absolutely not
Was there a family member or friend who inspired you to dance?
My mom put me in my very first dance class. I really wasn’t into the whole idea, but thank God she did. :)
Have you performed in musical theater or in public functions as a dancer?
I competed for 6 years.
What has been your most memorable dance experience?
Aside from this, I would have to say winning the New York City Dance Alliance National competition in 2008.
What have you learned so far in going through the audition process for this show?
Nothing can be expected!
What are your favorite dance moments from movies, TV and/or stage?
Every single musical scene from the "Chicago" movie. Also, the choreography in "West Side Story" is incredible.
Which choreographers would you like to work with?
Joey Dowling, Doriana Sanchez…actually, every single one. :)

I have worked with Joey Dowling.
What style do you hope to pick out of the hat? Which style of dance are you afraid to get?
I would love to pick a Latin ballroom style to redeem myself from my failed attempt at the Cha Cha in Vegas. I think I’m scared of Bollywood.

Bollywood
Which So You Think You Can Dance alumni do you look up to and why?
Jeanine Mason and I have been best friends for years. She is so talented and remains extremely level-headed. She is a wonderful person.
What do you hope to gain from this experience?
Knowledge of all styles of dance and knowledge of my own abilities as a dancer
What does making it to the Top 20 mean to you?
Living out my ambitions and highest hopes
What would you like America to know about you?
I’m here to learn and grow as a person and dancer. I want them to learn with me.
