TJ Thyne - Dr. Jack Hodgins
Originally from Boston, MA, TJ Thyne landed several lead roles at a young age in theater productions around the country, including "The Secret Garden" at the Dallas Theatre Center and the off-Broadway production of "Van Gogh" at New York's Mint Theater Company.
Thyne studied acting with teachers throughout the United States and British Columbia. He graduated from the USC School of Theater, where he received his BFA in Acting. Soon thereafter, he landed over 50 guest-star and recurring roles on television, including "Friends," "Cold Case," "Boston Legal," "Nip/Tuck," "CSI: NY," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Huff," "The O.C." and 24.
In 2001, Thyne founded Theatre Junkies Productions, which produces theater in the Los Angeles area as well as short films. The Theatre Junkies' short film "Validation," starring Thyne, is currently playing in film festivals around the world (39 to date) and has won over 19 awards including Best Comedy Short and Audience Choice. Thyne is currently producing four new short films through Theatre Junkies Productions as well as their first feature length film.
Feature film credits include the roles of "Stu Lou Who" in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with Jim Carrey, the young lawyer "David Foil" in "Erin Brockovich" with Julia Roberts, and "Gerald" in "How High" with Method Man and Redman. He has also appeared in "Something's Gotta Give," "What Women Want," "Edtv," "Ghost World," "The Pardon" and "Ball Don't Lie."
Thyne currently lives in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silver Lake, CA, and New York, NY.
