It’s a sad day in blogland as we bring this season of Terminator blogging to a close. We won’t know about a potential third season until FOX announces their schedule mid-May, but please continue getting the word out there: tell your friends, pester the network, rewatch episodes online. No decision has been made yet. We’ll try and post important news as soon as we know officially.
Whatever happens, it’s up to you now. Speculate on the fate of your characters, follow and support our robot team (cast and crew) in their future endeavors, and take the lessons of Sarah Connor with you as you go. This is terrible news! I was soooo excited about the last episode I watched. It was so action packed, full of twists, and answered a lot of questions.
At the least I’m glad it went out on a good note but I soooo wish there was more to come
I guess at least we have the movie soon…

Whew! When I first started reading the first sentence “its a sad day” my heart sank because I thought you were announcing there wasn’t going to be a season 3. thankfully nothing has changed, just further confirmation that we just don’t know yet.
But I’m confused, you said you had more videos to post. have you decided against posting the rest?
I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone, cast and crew. This show has truly made a real difference in my life. Your work has inspired me to no end. I’ve never witnessed a show like this before. Thank you for giving me this amazing show, I don’t know how I’ve lived this long without it.
I’ve been with this show since day one, all the way back to the night when the pilot first aired. When I watched that first episode I knew this show would become a major part of my life. I don’t usually keep up with television shows or go on the Internet to find out more about them, but TSCC was different. TSCC captured my interest from day one and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I now spend 99% of my day searching the internet for all things TSCC related, I usually watch at least one episode a day (I’m actually watching the pilot as I type this), and I’ve gotten my family and friends into this show.
With that said, I will NOT let this show go down without a fight.
I will continue to send emails and write letters to all the networks and companies in till they have to block me. I’m going to pre-order season 2 right after I finish typing this, and Im going to go out this weekend to buy season 1 on blu-ray– even though I don’t own a blu-ray machine. I’ll continue to play the episodes on both Hulu and FOD, and play my DVR. I will vote in all the save the show online polls in till my finger breaks from clicking the mouse to much. I will not stop in till I get my season 3!!
Even though we’ve made it this far, bent the rules of television, the networks will keep coming for us, keep trying to take us off the air. But until that day, it’s gonna be one HELL of a dogfight.
“There’s always something to lose” comes to mind. Farewell, Hadley and blogland. Hopefully this is just a temporary goodybe and not a Sarah Connor-land farewell. All’s we can do now is hope and pray for a third season of this fabulous show. As we speak I’m writing my own potential third season opener…. where I think the show was going.
But until then, until we get further confirmation:
“Keep moving.” Keep promoting the show, inviting friends to buy the DVDs, inviting yourself to buy multiple copies… writing blogs, reviews, watching, re-watching, then re-re-watch again your favorite episodes online.
Sarah Connor would expect nothing less of her resistance fighters (fighting against stupid Fox reality shows).
A BIG THANKS to all the crew of TSCC. Special thanks to Hadley for the blog.
Until we know the fate of TSCC in May, I’m sure fans will find ways to show their support the show. TSCC fans are organized and, like the Resistance, they will not stop fighting until they have won the war!
No Fate.
Several other shows on Fox have been axed or green-lit for another season. What in particular is different about TSCC that Fox will wait until the very last possible moment (May 18th)?
2009-2010 examples include:
Bones - renewed
The Simpsons - renewed
Family Guy - renewed
Prison Break - canceled
Til’ Death - renewed
I feel a decision has been made, and was made a few weeks ago. Underlings cannot comment until Fox allows them to do so. I’m not buying into what a Twitter page says about the Ausiello report. That’s just reiterating Fox’s “no decision”.

My heart skipped a beat reading the words ‘It’s a sad day’ too, thinking that a no go had been handed down on season 3 already! Aww, this is too bad that there’s no more blog - for now! First I’m bummed that I’m going to the Texas Frightmare con in a few weeks, and just read that Lena will be unable to attend - and now, no more daily dose of Hadley and co!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for keeping us constantly entertained and informed with this blog. As many others have said, most shows would not have been so generous towards their fans. No matter what, I support the SCC cast and crew in their future endeavors, and may that soon include a season 3!
I have not given up the fight - I am writing my letters, emails, still watching on my DVR, on FOX On Demand and downloading it from iTunes! (Having Lena as Sarah Connor on the go is great!)

I’ve been tagging along since the beginning of season 1. It has been a great run so far. It’s been some tough love this season but the show has stuck with me and I found myself really liking what the writers, actors and crew have done with the show. It is worth a better (no) fate than ending like this.
So fingers crossed that there will be some really crappy pilot productions for Fox so that they may feel forced to renew this little gem. Or perhaps another strange intervention may happen - perhaps a Fox exec may still believe in this show and break previous trends in nielsen-numbers-which-previously-led-to-show-cancellation by keeping it for the long run (preferably with a better timeslot). Whatever happens, best hopes in May.
Otherwise thank you for all the metal, it’s been gutsy.

Thus far, this show captivated me the most, I was never, ever touched by another show or characters such as this. It was an awesome journey, and I don’t regret a second of my wasted time on the Wiki, blog or replaying episodes dozens of times.
I sincerely hope the show will be renewed, it is a unique blend of genres, and the writers/crew/cast did a damn fine job creating it. Thank you.

If FOX doesn’t renew this amazing show, something is very wrong with them. Okay, so we don’t have the greated live numbers. But as long as they actually listen to DVR numbers, (3 day and 10 day) then we’re set. Plus FOD, Hulu, iTunes etc…
That should put us in the clear, IMO… But I’m not the one wearing the suit…
oh my…its now 7:18 here in Tennessee. a few minutes ago i just had an extreme urge to change the channel to fox to watch yet another great episode of TSCC and then i realize that…….
If we get a Season 3 (fingers crossed) I have only two criticisms to consider:
1) John and Sarah are our POV characters, and it felt like there was too much that they knew that we didn’t, which you later “surprised” us with. Surprises are good when we SHOULDN’T see them coming (i.e. Weaver being a good guy, Riley being future girl, Derek dying and coming back). They’re bad when our POV should have known them all along. (John knowing who Riley was is the worst offender. I’m not sure what I thought about John killing Sarkissian. I actually had forgotten who killed him by the time I got to the reveal episode so I didn’t realize I was supposed to be surprised).
2) Whenever the Connors needed to infiltrate somewhere (Power Plant, Military School, Funeral) it always seems to be too easy. People open up to them too quickly for the sake of the plot.
we want a 3rd season!!!! please.

Sarah Connor Chronicles is a brilliant show…I absolutely love the show, and its a bit irritating to go from each season not knowing if its going to be canceled or not…I’m sure this show has a semi cult following…Its just got a real crappy air time…Most people like myself arnt home @ 8pm on Fridays, we’re all out, and catch the episode online…Bring on season 3!
Great series keep up the good work season 3 is a must keep rolling them out. much better than some of the other stuff on!
I just filled out a “which show to save” survey on USAToday.com. I suggest that some of you guys go over and do the same. I also provided an in-depth analysis on the show that I think brought up some very good points on why the show is sooooo compelling. They may do interviews with people who submit so maybe one of us can get the opportunity to show why TSCC fans are the greatest of all media!
Hadley, thank you very much for all your hard work and caring; I know I’ve been hard on you at times, but it’s only because I care as well.
Tell the guys to go on the wiki and do special threads (even just starting them is okay, just check back from time to time). We;ll understand if you can’t jsut linger on the threads. I don’t twitter but I do try to keep contact with the wiki.
I really love this show, and will be rather depressed if they decide not to run a third season. Hopefully we all can pull together for the survival of John Connor, and of course the rest of the crew.
I don’t watch much TV , but I love this show……hopefully someone picks it up.

Thanks cast, crew and writers. TSCC is my favourite show and by far has the best plot lines, special effects and acting that I’ve ever seen on a tv show. You guys should be proud. If they are still trying for a 3rd season they should really try to market over seas more. I’m in Australia and they played maybe 2 episodes here at the beginning of last year and now nothing! So there’s plenty of room to market market market!! All we have here are mindless reality shows - it’s very depressing.

This show was the best thing that ever happened and I am glad I got a chance to a part of a fan base that is widely spread from around the globe. I feel appreciative of everyone involve for creating The Sarah Connor Chronicles series and to quote John Connor, “I want that show renewed. I want that whole new season!” lol. I kinda twisted the quote there if ya know what I mean. heh.
Good luck to Lena, Thomas, Summer and co in the future. I just want to say that the reason I got into T:TSCC was the story between a mother and her son, which is the heart of the show. I’ve always been fond of stuff like that, stuff that’s important to the context of the story but I love character arcs and all that.

Wow. I wrote a really long and eloquent post, and it disappeared into the ether. I thanked everybody involved, including FOX - for having the balls to greenlight our baby before they knew what we all know now.
You guys have been like a second family. I’ll miss checking into the ‘room’ on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis to see who’s in here, and what’s on everybody’s mind. It’s too bad there isn’t a way to ’see’ where we all are geographically. Our family here is, I’m sure - widespread across the globe.
I didn’t discover this blog until we were in the ‘back nine’, but better late than never!
Look for me in cyberspace, folks. I’ll seek out terminator lovers long after this blog is closed. It has been one HELL of a ride. Let us all hope and fight to make sure they don’t close the park!

Regarding the finale of Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, it was sensational!! It opened up different directions the writers could go. It is such an intelligently written show, both compelling and intense. You are all a very talented team. This tv show has surpassed my previous faves like Heroes, Grey’s Anatomy, 30 Rock, and Ugly Betty. The chemistry between Summer Glau’s character “Cameron” and Thomas Dekker’s character was palpable in the finale and when John jumped to the future and saw the human “Cameron” (along with his father and uncle) it was spine-tingling. It has the makings of a powerful love story between John and Allison in an apocalyptic world. Fans want to see these 2 connect!!! Isn’t that what draws female viewers in time and again? The constant imminent danger and the despair that John must feel knowing Allison’s fate would be exquisite to explore and would appeal to a broader audience, namely women! Isn’t that what elevated the first Terminator above the others? the desperation Kyle and Sarah felt in trying to save each other? Maybe change the title ????? more John centric as he takes up the mantle of leader…
….sorry, this is just my desperate attempt for a pitch to Fox & Warner Bros. Give John a love interest with a character we’re invested in and watch the teens and women swoon about John’s courageous attempts to keep Allison safe from the cyborgs. Her fate is intwined with the machines… (what elevated James Cameron’s Titanic above the other Titanic movies? Leonardo and Kate’s desperate struggle to save each other)
It would be such a shame to not bring ithis show back for another season after that stunning, seat-gripping finale. A superb cast, amazingly talented writers, executive producer, director and great music = the best tv show out there. I hope it wins more Emmy’s. Congrats on the IVy Awards!!!
I am shocked that they would consider canceling this show. This was the only show that I ever watched on a regular basis. Story, action and acting we above most else I catch on tv these days.
It ain’t over ’till it’s over. Fox will be hearing from us.

Look, Fox needs to keep this around for one reason. This show represents the future. A show with a large online audience but small Nielsen ratings.

OMG! Without doubt the best show out there atm…
Only at episode 9 here in Sweden but heard this terrible new about cancelling the show from American friends.
Last few episodes has been awesomely good…can barely think of anything else the weeks between the episodes.
If they wanna gain viewers (atleast older ones) they shoulden’t air it on late fridays in US since it often is “gettingwastedwithfriendsnight”.
If im not misstaken there were more viewers the first season when it aired on mondays.

Coming here and lurking through the intarwebs for more TSCC have been a daily ritual. One that I’ve enjoyed as much as watching the show itself so I hope that you guys will not stop posting while we wait for TPTB to decide…In the meantime, you guys deserve a nice little break after an awesome season like this one. I didn’t even watch tv tonight, I watched 3 episodes of TSCC online and preordered the season 2 DVD set instead.
I don’t understand how this show could get canceled?!?!? The Terminator topic is CLEARLY loved (being that there is a huge blockbuster movie coming out). The story is awesome, the acting is good for the most part, the production value is high…and AGAIN, people enjoy “Terminator,” in general. I just don’t understand…I think this is a perfect example of a bad marketing plan and poor time slot selection.
There are no other excuses.

There will be a season 3, and 4, and more if FOX understand that they are sitting on a coltan mine. I don’t blame them for hesitating: consider that it took some 25 episode for Josh to tame the beast somewhat.

Okay, I couldn’t help myself. I’m back for more speculation and opinion.

This fairytale feeling, this romantic “Cinderella” vibe Summer seems to have almost harkens back to a couple of blogs ago where I thought they should make certain aspect of Season 3 feel even more like a storybook.
If you literally take Summer’s “shipperfied” thought it might just work.
I was, again, thinking of this new Season Finale alternate time line like Star Trek’s “Mirror, Mirror” episode where the crew of Enterprise comes face to face with cracked reflections of themselves. Now, tie it back to the “Cinderella” fable as mentioned by Summer and sprinkle it with a dash of Pinocchio, and a smidge of Snow White… whilst keeping the L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” clearly in mind…
Actually make this re-booted Allison Young like Cameron’s evil-ish step-sister.
John is the Prince, Cameron is Cinderella. Catherine Weaver is the Good Fairy Godmother who “enchants” a hum-drum, plain old Terminator into a beautiful, radiant and sentient being, whom the Prince falls in love with, and vice-versa.
Cross-pollinating with Pinocchio… having tasted “life” this Pinocchio/Cinderella figure desperately wishes to be a real live girl and John’s Princess for all time, and doesn’t want to transform back when the clock strikes 12 midnight… that would be the faulty chip on which Cameron and JH/The Turk have wound up on.
The John Henry/The Turk construct is Catherine’s “Bibbity Bobbity Boo” magic by which that happens, basically. By cohabitating with that advanced construct (JH’s software really had no gender, anyway, just a childlike innocence and sense of wonder and curiosity, and strong empathy), Cameron is transformed further. It’s that extra little “joining” she needs to be complete.
As the evil step-sister Allison Young secretly covets what Cameron has: John Connor’s heart and the Prince. He doesn’t come right out and say it to Allison, but she figures something is up once she spies Cameron and John’s heartfelt reunion in the Terminator manufacturing plant. By his words and actions Allison knows he is pining for someone else…
That, amongst the horror and revulsion of John Connor loving a “metal” copy of her, besides the evil Step Mother, the original “Evil” Jesse’s words against John Connor… snaps her psyche, and she pulls out a gun to kill both John and Cameron in a moment of vulnerability when Cameron has no weapon (she’s just stepped out of the Tissue machine… once again, the photography of the “manufacturing” of Cameron is shot like a dreamscape right out of a fairytale with sparks dancing and flitting around, mist and steam swirling, a touch of slow-mo; something magical is happening), and John’s back is turned whilst holding her close (he’s just wrapped his coat around her form).
No dialog… just smooth slow-mo and powerful music to represent this is all happening in a moment’s time:
Cameron’s eyes are closed for a split second during the embrace. Allison slips from the shadows… gun drawn and raised. Her face is a mask of determined rage and horror and revulsion. She has slipped into a world of madness.
Cameron glances up, a kind of shock and realization in her eyes at what is about to happen. She grabs the gun in John’s holster at his waste and shoves him down and away, whips the gun up and fires (the gun sounds loud and ominous, the rapport ringing out around the plant) point blank… killing Allison instantly.
John crouching and twisting around, registers his own kind of shock and horror that Allison Young just tried to murder him and take out Cameron as well.
It’s over in a heartbeat (not even CW or anyone else could respond in time), and Cameron leans over to make sure John is okay, wraps her arm around him and helps him stand back upright, to comfort him some more from his shock.
What a breathless turn of events. Cameron, just reborn a few instances ago, has killed Allison Young… and yet it’s to save John’s life this time around.
The Prince and the Princess are back together. All they have to do now is find a way to click their heels together and escape from this twisted Land of Oz.
A fairytale fable, indeed.
I can’t really write anything new just what I’ve said before. Thank you for an amazing show that has really meant a lot to me and got me through some crazy times with relatives, that’s another story!

Funny way to start that last post, for a moment I thought THE decision had been made.
Fortunately, it’s not (yet) our Judgment Day. Too bad for this blogland though. I went every night to read the new articles, some sort of a routine (but a good one !).
You’ve done such a great job here. In my native country (I used to live in France) we got only the first season on TV (with some pretty awful dubbing I must say), but now, I’m living among you guys now, for nearly two months, and I was able to watch both the seasons in English, What a difference ! (Especially about Sarah and Cameron voices !). It was AWESOME. The whole thing.
How such a great show could possibly be cancelled ? I mean, we finally get the chance to explore what the after-judgment-day life is like, possibly how John wil become the John he’s suppose to be, How the resistance will be organized, how humans will survive, etc. As a fan, that’s what I want to know now. Much more thanks to a series than to a film, because let’s face it, 20 episodes or more (let’s be hopeful !) are far better than 2 hours in a theater. Plus, from what I read, T4’s completely different from TSCC.
TSCC enlightened my first weeks in this country and I thank you for that. I signed some petitions and hope that they will help you. At least, we’re not going without a fight. Let’s hope that there is no fate but what we make, and not “no fate but what FOX makes…”

I just had a thought about Garret Dillahunt.
In Deadwood he plays 2 completly diffrent characters - Wild Bills killer and later Willcot.
In TSCC those characters are much more related, but still its George Lazlo, Cromartie, John Henry and possibly Cameron in s3 (hehe)

Ok, there could have been more Cameron, more Derek, more ass kicking in general, but saying the whole crazy Sarah arc was worthless just means you weren’t paying attention.
On the Oz comparisons, I think John is Dorothy, Cameron is the tin woodsman, Sarah is the scarecrow, all heart and no brains, and Derek is the cowardly lion, Weaver was Glinda and John Henry was the wizard. It’s been a long time since I read any of those books so I won’t speculate on Tiktok, Osma, etc.
I think when Cameron said she didn’t know what ‘will you join us?’ meant she was lying, telling an untruth, it’s not the first time. When she told Ellison that he had said enough and gave him the bum’s rush, she was saying ‘message received,’ he was just too dense to pick up on it.
I like this show very much it is awsome.
John asks Cameron “Did you ever lied to me?” and she replays “Yes.” also she said that she could/will lie to John regarding important things also but then i guess John keeps secret for himself also.
About the “Will you join us?” quoestion of course she knows about that as in season 2 ep 4 when she was questioning Allison she stated that she was in fact part of the rebelion.
Good news (somewhat)! I just read that the Prison Break’s 2-hour premiere struggled last night. While I know that show has already been canceled, maybe this will show that TSCC’s numbers aren’t as bad as it gets for a Friday night. People love this show, and I dare say that we are the most dedicated fans here, so we MUST have a season 3!!!

Also, let’s hope Salvation get some record breaking numbers just to sweeten the deal.
Here’s my only concern regarding Salvation and Tscc. The movie comes out 3 days after their “official” announcement. I gues that they just have to take into account how much Salvation will make if that goes into the decision at all. I do believe the movie would generate alot of buzz around anything with the name “terminator”. Also, i was wondering if Josh (Friedman) was taking into account the movie’s timeline pertaining to the shows timeline. The finale leaves John in the future war against skynet, looking for John Henry and Cameron. If the show brings new fans to the show, they would be looking at a timeline similar to that of the movie’s. If Josh could use this to lure new fans in and then fill them in on the events prior to that on the show, then we could be looking at 1-2 million more viewers. I think it would be in FOX’s best intrest to keep the show for at least one more season, because there will be alot of buzz this summer about Terminator.
If the *show brings new fans to the show, they would be looking at a timeline similar to that of the movie’s.

TSCC should not be tied to the new movies. It should not rise or fall on the quality or lack thereof of T4-T6. That’s a mistake.
However, that does not mean there shouldn’t be some of the intensity and gripping tension and suspense in the action and drama of the many movies (sans the crapfest of T3) brought on board to make sure the audience doesn’t turn away for a moment.
Just don’t forget to bring along the humanity and the inspiring messages of James Cameron’s films. Leave ‘em out and you just make complete fluff out of Terminator.
That said, I think they really need to make John Connor see how important it is for him to erase this time line, get back home with Cameron and Weaver (JH, in my opinion is now gone… the best bits of The Turk are now residing in a much evolved Cameron), and take the information gleaned here to take the fight right to Kaliba.
And stop JD. They key would be Cameron and her powerful and advanced new mind. A mind shaped by love and compassion and new found empathy for those she loves to go toe-to-toe against Skynet… a mind shaped by hate and rage and apathy for the living.
Cameron would not be the same old Terminator. That past is gone. She is something new and wondrous. Reborn.
That doesn’t mean she won’t be able to take of herself and protect John (better than ever, being in a battle-tough new endo and tissue package) when necessary, but that she does it with finesse and grace, and with minimal loss of life, and more martial arts skill and non-lethal hand to hand combat. She’s no longer a bull in a china shop. John is also willing to get into the fight. They work with each other as a partnership.

Dan i really like your creative thinking, but we must not forget that Kyle Resse has to travel back in time for John to be born. If JD does not happen Kyle does not go back and no John. But i see a flaw in my theory, since John jumped he, didn’t become the leader of that Resistance so Kyle was not sent back, or John arrived some time before Kyle goes back. This time thing makes my head hurt sometimes but it why i like this show, it stimulates the mind.

Kyle does not have to go back now.
The circle is broken. John is insulated. He is… therefore he cannot un-be.
This time line created by John leaping ahead in order to get Cameron back is a whole new kettle of fish.
In fact, I would go so far as to have on older Savannah… taught by Mr. Murch and taken care of by Ellison… help John and Catherine (who leaped ahead for the same basic purpose) in this time line to help pull Cameron off her chip and into the scene I talked briefly about before with a brand new, blank and powerful chip.
Savannah and John plug John Henry (the body that is) into the Terminator manufacturing system in an attempt to extract Cameron apart from John Henry (and beat the clock to rescue both from the faulty and failing chip). Here’s the trouble they find… Cam and The Turk have melded. They cannot be separated.
The other tidbit John finds out by looking through Cameron’s code: He never reprogrammed her in the first place (since programmers put their little signature stamps into their own code… his is not there). Cameron’s decisions have been her own.
Why does she tamp down her desire to kill him? She doesn’t want to, really. It’s her new found love, her heart that drives her onward.
So, Catherine acquiesces and John and Savannah cross their fingers and hope for the best by downloading Cameron’s new coding into the improved endo and start the process going.
John doesn’t know what’s going to happen until she steps out of the final Tissue Generation machine.
As mentioned before, when they engage the manufacturing sequence… magical things start happening… in a sense, in the style and vibe of the photography. This is no ordinary Terminator build.
John, walking towards the Tissue Machine as if on a rail, stands in rapt attention before it.
The doors finally open and a blast of steam and swirling mist erupts from the machine, and Cameron appears. She opens her eyes, and there is John rooted in place. He finally walks over to her. He can’t speak. He reaches out his hand and helps her step out of the machine and onto the floor, where he gently wraps his resistance jacket around her naked form.
They stare at each other, and Cameron moves her hand up and touches his face with her fingertips, brushing his cheek. Her brown eyes are like saucers, bold and intense, boring into his soul.
Cameron: John. [she smiles, slightly... she recognizes him].
John smiles back in relief, tears start streaming down his face. Another awkward pause. And then they both embrace tightly, with a fierce passion. this is a great show despite its low ratings…. the neilson sytem is antiquated and has to go. very few people in the age group they are targeting with this show ever sits down and watches tv live… I’m 42 years old and I hardly ever watch tv live myself. the networks need to come up with a new business model if they want to keep up with the changing technologies. I would not care if they did more product placement in the shows as long as it does not become obnoxious. give the show a chance they are just getting their feet wet. even seinfeld ratings were struggling in the beginning but slowly gained steam.

Yes, NBC allowed “Seinfeld” to find its audience. The first 2-3 seasons were poor performers, and yet it was given the green-light for more. The head honchos liked the show and saw potential gold. It started out shaky and wobbly, but Seinfeld and the other writers/producers and actors re-tooled until they hit pay dirt. NBC also found it a new night and time that worked well…

I agree with Dan. The series shouldn’t connect with the new movies. First of all, the movies are based on the T3 story, which means you get this annoying Kate Brewster chick instead of Cameron/Allison. And the series should be used to portray different versions of the future than the one in the movies. Like in season 2 we had this scenario, where John Connor isolated himself from the rest of the world excluding Cameron and some people even doubted, if he still existed and machines are not running the place. And the new future from the season 2 cliffhanger deals with the question “What if John Connor never existed and never led mankind?”
This is really interesting stuff they can’t possible do in the movies. That’s why they need to keep the series alive.
On the other hand, if the show gets cancelled I most likely won’t watch the movies (maybe when they will be released on DVD but not in cinema). I’ve never been a big fan of the Terminator franchise until I started to watch this show. But when it gets cancelled, that’s it for me. I won’t get excited about those new movies, because they will just remind me, how much I miss TSCC. (Unless of course, they put Summer Glau / Cameron in those movies, but this will be very unlikely. ^^) But what I want to say is, that cancelling TSCC will have a negative effect on the new movies, they could loose an important part of the fanbase, mainly all those people who got attracted to Terminator because of the show, people who would have never thought about watching the new movies if it weren’t for TSCC. And that’s a lot of people.
But of course, a successful T4 would be very good for the show, because it could drawn in some new audience.
I am a big fan of TSCC. though the second seaon is yet to air on Network TV over here. I am looking forward to the elease of season 2 on DVD n Amazon so that I can catch up. I should point out that with all this talk of the series being cancled. that does not mean the death of the characters. maby they just needto look at continueing the story in a diffrent format. Direct DVD movies are a great hope. they help to reduce inter net piracy. and DVD sales have done wonders for Stargate, Firefly, and Battlestar Galactica. and both buffy and Angel continues i a comic boo format.

Renew this show, damn it! I just got into it a few episodes and bought the first season dvd and downloaded the second season just to catch up. This is the best show out on television right now. Heroes can’t even do better than this.
Noway Fox will cancel this… the story is amazing very original and and shows what good writers can do with an already known legendary story. I’m a big fan of Terminator before these shows I must have seen T2 movie around 50 times, these shows that simply keep me glued on the TV and more entertained then the movies is a job well done to me Thanks for all the Episodes
I just had a thought about Garret Dillahunt.
In Deadwood he plays 2 completly diffrent characters - Wild Bills killer and later Willcot.
In TSCC those characters are much more related, but still its George Lazlo, Cromartie, John Henry and possibly Cameron in s3 (hehe)
You forgot the Beast Wizard movie where he played George Laslo playing the Beast Wizard.
I think it doesn’t really matter if the movies follow the series. The beauty of time travel stories is you can have several different stories happen in different timelines without contradicting each other.
I came to talk about what an awesome episode that was only to find out it was the end of the season! Just want to thank the cast and crew for the awesome show they put out the last two seasons. I hope you guys continue for a third season.

I’ve always loved movies and music since my parents took me to see Star Wars on opening night 1977. My folks say I was never the same since.
Even got David Prowse’s autograph (my one and only… not really into collecting people’s signatures), but he signed it: Darth Vader.
Sang at Carnegie Hall once a long, long time ago. Not as a soloist, God no! LOL! As part of my honor high school choir that was tapped to perform there.
Took a few film classes in my day too. Two of my buddies went into “the biz”… one as an actor and one does the production side of things, so we always talk all things movies.
So… me a writer? Nah. I just think up scenarios in my noggin’, but thanks for the compliment anyway! I’m working on a fan fic, though, to tied me over ’til Season 3. I need to get back to my creative writing roots and dust off the rust that’s accumulated over the years.
I really do appreciate the tough work that goes into writing for a movie or TV show… my hat’s off to you real writers.
Oh yeah, baby, Season 3 is going to happen.

It angers me that yet another excellent series is more than likely to be canceled without a good reason nor any real kind of serious thought. This happened with the new Knight Rider series. What do ratings matter anyway? Just because the ratings are not high, it does not mean the number of fans are low? Who else is tired of this crap? Who else is tired of seeing their favorite shows getting canceled and replaced by trash?

John, Cameron, and Weaver have returned to the present. They’re looking through what used to be The Turk’s server “home” in the basement with Mr. Murch. The Turk is gone now. Cameron has “absorbed” the powerful AI construct. It’s like Cam had one small piece of the puzzle inside her mind missing, and now that piece is fitted snugly in place. She is the same ol’ Cam, yet somehow different… more outgoing.
Savannah walks in, expecting to find John Henry alone, but switches gears at seeing her mom, and her eyes light up anyway, and she runs to her.
Savannah: Mommy! I made something for John Henry! [looks around... and notices he's nowhere to be seen, and her face falls] Where’d he go?
Catherine [looking down at her, and putting on her "mom" face]: Savannah, dear, John Henry had to leave. I’m sorry.
Savannah [crestfallen]: But I made him a picture. [looks up, shyly, as she spies Cameron staring at her]
Cameron [oddly, she smiles back at Savannah, and lifts her hand in greeting]: Can I see your drawing?
Savannah [not too sure]: Okay. [and walks over to her]
Cameron [getting down to Savannah's level, and in a sudden sunny manner]: Say, that’s lovely. [it's a simple crayon drawing of John Henry and Savannah holding hands in a park] I think John Henry would have liked it very much. [seeing Savannah starting to respond] Can I keep it?
Savannah: But I made it for John Henry.
John and Catherine are staring at this exchange raptly. Mr. Murch has his nose to the computer bank. Cameron is surprisingly engaging and warm with the girl, and not talking in her typical abrupt manner.
Cameron: Tell you what, if he ever stops by for a visit I’ll be sure to give it to him.
Savannah [brightening]: You promise?
Cameron: Cross my heart. [she touches Savannah on the head, and stands up]
She walks back over toward the table and something shiny catches her eye on the ground by the table leg, she picks it up. It’s a D&D dice that Mr. Murch dropped a while back.
Mr. Murch [noticing her find]: I was looking all over for that. Thanks!
Cameron [flicking it on to the table as if it means nothing to her, and then looks down at it]: Twenty. [but doesn't register that there was anything significant about it]
John, Mr. Murch, and Catherine stare at the dice, then stare at Cameron.
If this show doesn’t come back I will have lost all faith in television! this is the only show that I can stand to watch on TV! I need this show! lol!
P.S. so glad he is going to finaly get to meet cam and she is real! been waiting on that 4ever!
Or maybe they are ending the Sarah Connor Chronicles but starting the John Conner Chronicles as the T4 movie will have an open end. So if the movie makes it realy well as it should be they should make episodes to explain how John got from 16 years old to 30 the age Christian Bale’s Connor is. Finger crossed

Is it true that on the season 1 DVD for region 1 (usa and canada) are more bonus features included than on the DVD for region 2 (europe) ? Does that know someone?
As far as I know the only bonus feature on the european DVD set are deleted scenes.

Import the U.S. version of (hopefully) the Blu-ray versions of Seasons 1 and 2. Get yourself a Blu-ray player if you don’t have one. Warner Brothers’ Blu-ray discs are usually region free (A, B, C). There is no regional TV format to deal with like with DVD, as most filmed or HDcam captured scripted content on Blu-ray is 1080p/24 (24 Hz, or in photographic terminology, 24 frames per second) encoded anyway.
It’s up to the player itself and/or the TV set to convert 1080p/24 content to either 1080p/60 or 1080p/50 (those countries that stuck with 50 Hz like with PAL), depending on where you live. However, if you get an HDTV that accepts 1080p/24 directly and will allow straight up-conversion to 48 Hz or 96 Hz or even 120 Hz to eliminate motion judder. Just make sure no conversion frame cadences are added to turn it into 50 Hz or 60 Hz signals, or the benefits of pure 24 Hz doubling, tripling, quadrupling, etc. is lost.
It gets complicated, so read the manuals.
Once again Dan great stuff….know what we (i mean you) will write our own season 3 until we get the news that the official writers are back on the job.

Thank you guys so much i loved the show with all my heart. i hope fox does let another season go on air. if not :(. im currently fighting for the sarah connor chronicles series and i do hope it airs. i personnaly fox will let it air on for another season because they let other low view shows on when they were going to be cancelled. if not then fox is just going to lose 3.5-3.8 million viewers. so i am really hoping for another season.

@Uwe: I bought the Season 1 BluRays from amazon.co.uk (Region: Europe) and they have all the extras (3 Commentaries, “Creating the Chronicles”, Extended version of Episode 7, Cast Audition Tapes, Deleted Scenes, Storyboard Animatic, Summer Glau Dance Rehearsal and Gag Reel). However, this doesn’t have German as a language (I guess you are German, since your name is German). If you want to have the german line (2.0 Stero) you’ll have to buy it from amazon.de (which is much more expensive) but they say it has the same extras.
@Dan: I don’t think they are region free. On amazon.com it says season 2 BluRays are region 1, which means they’ll only work in the US and CA. In addition to that, delivery would take 13-31 days, and I couldn’t wait that long =)

If it’s a European or UK edition they can make strange cuts to the program by the censor boards. It’s happened before. Shootings, extreme violence, sex and nudity, you name it… that’s fine and dandy. Head butt or do something less violent like that… and it’s cut. Like I said: strange.
Warner Brothers’ Blu-rays are almost always region free (A/B/C). Amazon.com is a terrible place to look up specifications, as they’re almost always wrong.

Our efforts are paying off. Season 2 DVD preorder has made it to amazon.com’s top 15 Best Sellers list for TV and Movies.
Also, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has reported that an overwhelming majority vote for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (and Dollhouse) is in the lead: “…at the moment the 18-34 crowd is leading by 500 votes.”
Unfortunately, it appears the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette poll (http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09107/963427-67.stm) was intended for local voters only. However, several examples of people coming together in numbers to make a point happen online all the time. I doubt it will be a negative thing if FOX hears of TSCC Fans taking over any/all ‘Save a Show’ polls.

Like I said, I pre-ordered the S2 Blu-ray… and I just hope that between now and the release date the discount gets better.
Jeez, these TV sets from WB are pricey! And they usually don’t even come with full master-quality lossless audio like the TV sets coming from HBO (and they’re a WB subsidiary!!), Sony, Disney, Fox, Universal, and even Lionsgate (”Weeds” from LG is remixed into 7.1 channel surround for goodness’ sake!!), and WB’s latest “Smallville” Blu-ray set had way too many episodes crammed onto each disc, just so they could save on not pressing one measly extra disc as in their last “Smallville” Blu-ray set… and the video quality suffered because of it!
I hope Josh and/or James Middleton can put some thumbscrews to WHV and insist on better treatment for Season 2.

This show is amazing…….I don’t know what I’d do if it got cancelled (and I’d prefer not to think that way yet)! As for Cameron, I strongly believe that if we see a season 3, she will be back, though I’m not sure how, because there are so many possibilities (Dan’s idea comes to mind). I was reading an interview with Summer regarding the finale, and she said that she looks forward to getting to evolve her character(or something close to that) if they get a season 3. I’d be happy as long as Summer is still on the show, but I’d always miss my favorite cyborg.

Here’s another wild thought.
Savannah has survived JD in this frakked-up time line, and has grown up to be a nerdish/bookish/computer geek. Kind of plain Jane. She spends more time writing lines of computer data, and studying Terminator and AI designs than interacting with people (Mr. Murch taught her well). She’s like what John Connor might have been like if he had been just a normal techie and nothing out of the ordinary ever happened.
She’s been kind of obsessed with this stuff ever since John Henry, her friend, disappeared, along with her mother. Ellison died during one of the many battles that have raged since JD.
She doesn’t really have many friends in the resistance. She stays pretty quiet and withdrawn, though she does take a bit of a curious interest in Allison Young, since she looks exactly the same as the dark-haired girl who was with John Connor when her home was attacked.
She has no real friends until she spies John Connor, unchanged, walking through the mess line, just one of the many faces she sees going by day by day. He hasn’t changed a bit since 2009. Things are getting weirder and weirder.
She gets up the nerve to talk with him (not in that sort of way… JC’s too young, and she has her eye on one of the soldiers who won’t give her the time of day) and they find that their missions are again in sync.
Savannah [abruptly sitting down at on the bench next to John]: Thank you.
John [looking up, curiously, at the strange youngish looking red-headed woman]: For what?
Savannah [shyly]: Teaching me to tie my shoes… “The squirrel runs around the tree.”
John [smiling]: “Dives in the hole and scurries out the other side.” Savannah, my God! Look at you… it was only a couple of days ago… and you were…
Savannah: Six. I was six. I remember. John… wasn’t it?
John: Yeah.
Savannah: You haven’t aged a bit, though dimensional time displacement will do that to you.
John looks curiously at her.

Savannah and John work together in finding The Turk and Cameron. She becomes his partner in crime, so to speak. Allison Young dogs them, hanging around with John and John working with Savannah wanting to help… always watching, always absorbing, though she seems incurious to the proceedings. Why? Who is she gathering intel for…? Hmmm…

One time Savannah is alone and working at a computer terminal late at night, she’s taken her glasses off and is rubbing her eyes tiredly. Everything is eerily quiet, when a dark shape coalesces behind her and steps into the light.
It’s Weaver.
Savannah hears the footsteps and turns in her chair, and she is awed beyond belief. She slowly rises from her chair.
Savannah [she still can't believe her eyes]: Mom…?
Weaver [she is her steely self, and yet there are emotional cracks around the edges]: My sweet, sweet Savannah. [she smiles] A child no longer. And quite the programmer, I see. I’m so proud of you.
Savannah starts to cry with joy, and hugs Weaver close.
Savannah [her head against her chest, as if she's become that fragile and vulnerable little girl again]: Why did you leave me, mom? Why?
Weaver [her own eyes are actually watery]: I had to, my dear… I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.
Weaver composes herself after a moment, letting Savannah’s emotions run their course first, and tries to become all business again, yet her voice stays soft and soothing.
Weaver: I have something important for you to do. I need for you to be strong. Can you be strong for me?
Savannah, shaking her head in acquiescence, then lifting her head off Weaver and standing in front of her. She wipes the excess tears from her eyes.
Weaver: It’s John Henry. I’ve found him.

Come on we all need something to get us out of the current situation, the twist involving the “Cameron” like character. Is it her - is has the time line alteration even screwed her up. What will JH do with with Cameron’s chip will she recover and what will her programming be like.
In addition everyone needs to get an escape from the current financial grind in their daily lives. The fans really need you right now FOX please don’t kill it this fits in well with your new “Terminator 3: Salvation” film and it has one heck of a kick.

I love the show… very well done from every aspect. I REALLY enjoyed the last two episodes of this season. S2Ep.21 … I really liked the ending with John Henry and Savannah singing… the singing, background music, and visuals made for a very powerful ending! Hope to see the show back for season 3 because after Ep. 22, I’ve GOTTA know what happens next!!!!!
John leaves quietly with Catherine, Savannah, and Allison Young.
They take a transport ship that Weaver was able to abscond with to a manufacturing facility underground that is under the metal resistance’s control. They have Skynet codes and slip through the grid. Cameron/Turk, sitting on board the ship, is not doing so well… the chip is failing. They are running out of time…
Once there they plug the barely functioning John Henry/Cromartie body into the computer system. It looks around as if still pulling in input from its surroundings, but can say nothing. Savannah and John sift through the code.
Savannah is looking at the screen while John is prepping some assembly equipment with Weaver, Allison is sort of helping, but then begs off…
Allison [to Weaver, in a short, flippant sort of way... she doesn't like working around metal]: Do you happen to have a dunny around here? I haven’t gone all day.
Weaver looks confused at what Allison just asked.
Allison [like Weaver's an idiot]: A bathroom?

Savannah [looking at the code on the chip, trying to decipher it, looks upset and stunned at the same time]: Son of a bitch. [turning her head] John, you better take a look at this.
John [leaning in] What’s wrong?
Savannah: It’s their data constructs. They’ve merged. [Tapping the screen at a specific line of coding] I can’t pull them apart.
John looks somewhat concerned and confused.
Savannah [sounding a bit like Mr. Murch] They’re entwined together… like a… a spider’s web. If I pull on one thread the whole thing unravels.
John [slamming the table with his fist, a mixture of anger and grief]: I’m too late… I’m too damned late…
Savannah [sympathy registering on her face, but also something else...] John, you… you don’t understand. You’re not looking at the code right. The Turk, John Henry, whatever…. has been absorbed.
John looks confused. He’s so shaken up by dark thoughts surrounding the supposed loss of his love.
Savannah: It’s like Cameron took Andy Goode’s original code and had it for breakfast… and is now hungry for lunch, dinner, and snacks in between.
John: What are you saying?
Savannah [as if speaking to a slow learner, though truly excited]: Cameron’s software has… powerful “kung fu,” John. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been around my share of machines. Her code’s growth potential is virtually limitless.
John: My God…
Savannah: Almost. [waxing poetically] If James were here he’d call it what it probably is… a miracle.

SEASON 3 WISHLIST:
-Use Weaver’s shape shifting abilities MUCH more dramatically. She should be anyone in the room, or anything. We should see entire episodes where we think it’s John driving the resistance, only to learn weeks later that it was Weaver mimicking John. Let’s assume the time transport was enough for her to sample him.
-Fisher story needs more exploration…how did a comp science major become a psychotic psychoanalyst?
-need explanation of the Turk room becoming trashed. If it was caused by timetravel bubble (as it looks to be) that means JH didn’t use it, so that means he’s dormant in a broom closet at Ziera Corp waiting for Weaver to fetch him in the future
-I like Dan’s take on Savannah growing up to be a tech monster. She’s go the genes for it given her dad, and it would be cool to give Murch the uncle role…that dude must have been way freaked when he came back from ComicCon to see the Turk room post finale. “Um, who put this busted up hottie in John Henry’s seat?” Let’s assume Cameron’s chassis is still in 2009.
-Please don’t just drop the whole “dark forces” thread from this season that somehow had the presence to land an HK in Weaver’s room the moment the Conners stepped foot in the office. Big Brother is watching through JH’s eyes…and several other ports and sub-nets. Interesting storyline that stems from there is how can the resistance use JH if everthing he “thinks” is compromised data? NSA wiretapping, anyone??
I’ll suggest the new name for the series should just be The Connor Chronicles.
Simple…allows for either Connor to carry the arc of the show…and could also allow Cameron to be included as a Connor…under her real name, Allison Connor.

@ Jim….I really don’t know about that. I love TSCC the way it is. I don’t want to see it dumbed down for the rest of the TV population. This is what Bethsada Software did with Oblivion (i still like the game) but it baby’s you the whole way through. Okay back to TSCC, also this is Joss Friedman and the other amazing writers show, if they move the show the MUST go with them. Its okay if sci-fi has input but not to the point that it kills the show i have come to love. I really really dont know if i like this move. Plus if fox had promotied the show like they leading up to the season 1 premire more people whould have seen what this show was about and then would have tuned in.
The best thing is to question how reliable her sources are. It is interesting though if other channels wants to buy the show if Fox have failed to save it. I am scared though, if a move to another channel. could affect the quality of the show.

I would def. support a move to SyFy if FOX makes another huge mistake and drops TSCC. The show would still be using the same sets and I really don’t think things would change too much. The show could use some more action overall BUT not so much to dumb the show down. We need to freshen things up but keep all the great things about TSCC going.

However, I will agree that they must add more action and suspense and powerful, powerful drama as I’ve mentioned before. Add a bit more humor and light and hopefulness; don’t drag the show into the depressing maudlin muck for too long.
Keep the smarts, but don’t be quite so loose and vaporish with the teases and major reveals. Keep some mystery, but don’t toy with the audience until they become frustrated for the lack of tangible answers. And don’t string us along for two seasons (into a third) and still not talk about important points and scenes from the very, very beginning.
And if you think you really got any solid answers yet… think again. The “Finale” ties up practically nothing, especially since this is a whole new thread in the time tapestry.
Get that John and Cameron magic going again right quick too. Allison, though slightly intriguing, is really not what we want to see for very long. Terminator without our favorite Terminator lassie is like tumbling your clothes dry without the anti-static fabric sheets.
And if Sarah is hanging around still… don’t make her such a bitch and an albatross. Maybe Weaver and Cameron’s statements and actions kind of splash cold water on her face and she’s back to spit-fire/spunky-town like in the first two films, instead of sucking on lemons for episodes on end.
As ratings should strongly indicate: Sarah is really not the most popular character as she has been written. Need I say more?

Actually Cameron is vaporized its part of the canon of Terminator mythology. Dead tissue does not go through the TDE. On most web forums and fan sites this is now being accepted as FACT. Now the fanboys of Cameron will have to hope for a miracle as far as her AI, but I fear that is now gone as well. Her body was part of what made her software unique, this was explained by Weaver , just for this reason. Uniting her old chip with a new host body will result in a new unique personality. Cameron character is terminated.

Here body did not go through is all. If Weaver’s time machine vaporized stuff when its activated then the room would have looked like hell when John Henry left with Cameron’s chip. The bank below up b/c the parts to make it was piece mill. It could not take the stress the time machine put on it. It wouldn’t make since for the time machine to explode every time someone was sent back. It all has to do with the parts used and the knowledge. Weaver is a T-1001 she is going to know all their is about the tech. and how to make one that will last.
Now when they showed up the future they were in the ruins of the Zeria Corp building after J-day, that’s why it was all destroyed.
Cameron’s body did not go through the ‘time machine’ because only living things go through. It has nothing to do with living tissue (in TSCC). The weaver-bot is able to go through even though it is constructed of nano-technological components because it is ‘alive’.
Cromartie’s head was able to make it through in the pilot because he was still ‘alive’ even though his head had been blasted off! Note the still glowing eyes when he goes through.
Living creatures (humans, dogs, plants all generate EM fields as a consequence of ‘life’. You’ve all seen this somewhere - Aura photography has been popular at times. As part of the mythology of the show presumably AI generates the same kind of field and so a ‘living’ AI can time-travel.
With her chip removed Cameron is no longer a living organism and her body, being just metal stays behind.
So How Does She Return ?
Simple - JC followed John Henry into the future to recover Cameron’s ‘chip’ (CPU + datacore ?). He needs to bring it back to the present (put it in his mouth or something) - replace it in her head and ‘download’ her data from the John Henry black box back into her ‘chip’
Shouldn’t do her any harm as her ‘chip’ has been removed before on several occasions
kyle747 you are 100% correct. But one thing kinda bothers me. The T-888 power core is in its chest, so if his head is removed the head should not have power to it. Other than that small detail everything else makes since.
Well really all terminators power source is in the chest region, not just T-888’s.

Sometimes i think that she was sent back to “training” John simply: teaching him about machine’s behaviour, strenght point and weakness.
And in the end, teaching him about suffering (Cam “ehi, John. Don’t fall in love NEVER with a machine! Do you ever love your TV??) and about machines’ lies.
So she ended her works, and made the other step: following future’s JC to coordinate and eventually unite with the rebel machine faction.

Do the right thing and bring this show back. Put a trailer for season 3 in front of the new movie, and it will be guaranteed viewer increase for the next season. Anyone can see the show has tons of potential for future seasons and even spin-offs. Don’t kill a great show before it ever has a chance to truly spread it’s wings and soar in the ratings.
you know, I wish the best for the whole T4 cast & crew, but honestly, I couldn’t care less about that movie. Christian Bale is an immeasurably over-hyped actor…which will show plainly when he tries to compete with the TSCC calibre nuanced performances.
I said it before, that TSCC wasn’t supposed to turn out to be a good show…and now they don’t really know what to do because it’s more interesting than the core franchise. Comparisons will be made, and not favorably to the new film, imo. Halcyon likely knows this and is struggling with what to do. If (when) T4 flops they could fall back on TSCC to carry the banner…but not if they kill it before then.

Nobody can deny that terminator and terminator: judgment day, brought a new universe of posibilities, created a new culture, but not an Arnold Schwarzenegger fever, not an-only-one-caracter fever, not even a crouwd fever. They brought an anonymous and colective sense of hope in the desperation, an intimate relationship between the viewer and the fate of an anonimous character, unrecognized, unheroic, just a person triying to persist.
This eloquent speech about the human life and it’s eagerness to survive was prostituted and distorted for the very mediocre Terminator: raise of the machines version on 2003. But Tscc not just rescues the dramatism of the situation, it brings to the forefront the real verisimilar pathway wich gives us a context for the future, a reason, it humanizes an until now nonperfiled john connor, fullfill with conficts and selfish desires, with errors and fears; a confused character in the middle of the blame and the responsibilities.
It’s a shame to bring down a so intimate approach to the human nature opera, whose found the way to poetize those everyday situations in a theatrical and entertaining way. I guess this is a schedule mistake, because it is within the nature of Tscc to portray the human social nature.
I’m really pissed right now!! I am so sick of networks screwing around with great shows!! I finally find one that I love to watch and now they are considering canceling it?? WTF? Over 75% of prime time regular TV is reruns or paid promotional TV. I can’t afford cable or DTV or whatever it is called, and even if I could I still wouldn’t want it. I just want the regular TV stations to make great shows like TSCC so that I can say FoxTV is the channel I want to turn to for good TV. Who is running this network anyway? You would think that Fox would have enough good marketing people that they could figure out how to make it all work. 3M viewers on a bad night is pretty damn good in my book, so why not put it on a better viewing night? Advertise the show better and figure out ways to tie in the public to the characters. People want relationships, so figure out a good relationship for the public to connect to the show with. If Fox wants to pay me a 6 figure income, I would be glad to help them make money off of this show. It’s more than good enough to bring in some serious coin.
This site is claiming that based on two different sources there are negotiations going on to give the show to Scifi, but with a catch. They want a lot more creative control. To make it a lot more episodic.
If that happens, and Josh is taken off the show, I don’t think I’d even want it saved. It needs to stay the smart show it’s always has been. it was bad enough when fox forced riley into the show, I can only imagine how badly it could go if a network had total control.

As reasonable as this sounds though, this site has lost a lot of credibility when it posted that bs “early leaked” review of the finale. so I don’t know if I should believe this or not.

Even TV.com earns huge numbers by posting the “Terminator is cancelled” story which we all know has not been confirmed by official sources. The plus side of running crappy stories are that fans seems to get engaged in proving them wrong, and also showing their interest in the show, hoping it will not be cancelled. Don’t know what effect it will have in the end - I’m just afraid the too many cancellation stories may lower the interest in the show just because many starts to believe it’s over.
Moreover, I tested it and she even filters out the comments keeping only the ones that don’t make her look like the total fraud that she is.

If that is true, despite her lack of credibility, and it comes down to a Season 3 or no Season 3 I obviously want a Season 3. I’ve loved the show up to this point, but until we actually see the show under SciFi’s control, how are we to know if it would be better or worse? Again, if the choice is new network new rules, or never see T:SCC again, I chose the former. But, I don’t believe we’re down to that yet.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is the only TV show I watch. From what I can tell, all the people saying it has been cancelled have a tendency for telling fibs. If they don’t make a third season my faith in humanity will forever be lost.
What if we, TSCC’s fans, could turn around that Lanie G. BS styled news at TSCC advantage?

Which means, it doesn’t matter if you speak about something badly or nicely, the most important thing is to speak about it and make it a popular subject.

Yes. It’s too early to discuss how serious the rumours are regarding a move to Syfy.
However it does raise a question whether the highly serialized style is an issue and if the show would be better than it really is if more episodes could work on more standalone stories. I guess executives may address this if we get a Season 3.
Like Mr Whedon once said: even the most stupidest person in the room can come up with a good idea so you got to hear them out. Going less serialized on the storytelling with T:TSCC can be just one of those ideas executives may address if we get a Season 3.
Personally I’m still unsure if leaving the smart and more unconventional strongly serialized style is such a great idea. More single independent stories during a season, and even a small step towards to what could be seen as an almost procedural style storytelling in an episode, would risk complicating the show with unrealistic (from a storytelling perspective) and too many recurring elements and plot twist. (Highlander and X-files, anyone?
)
Because it is based upon a movie license, many recurring elements will naturally return so the writers may need break away from that template - which I think it is good, because it keeps us viewers on our toes. As long as we get some familiar elements that makes it Terminator show - but not too much and not always in a way we may expect, then I think the formula will work as it should.
I think it would be great if SciFi took TSCC from Fox. Fox has a history of screwing up good shows and SciFi has shown, with shows like BSG, that it is more than capable of putting out a show with high production values. And BSG is very serialized and TSCC can’t be any more costly to produce then BSG. And at the current viewership level, TSCC would be considered extremely successful on SciFi. SciFi also knows how people watch shows and doesn’t put all of their eggs in the Neilsen basket. Let Fox put on another crap animated show in it’s place and let SciFi do it right.

@Hypurr It feels that BSG is one of the exceptions on Syfy.
Whether BSG when aired were less serialized than the current T:TSCC can also be discussed. How different, between episodes focusing on main season (or series) story arc, compared to individual theme episodes did we see on BSG, in comparison to T:TSCC? Thoughts?
I just get the feeling that the time it takes before a renewal/cancellation notice is being used to make people move on so there is not as much of a clamour for it if it gets the axe, i have been through this before with firefly and after believing it would happen, over time i realise what i had was all i was to receive

Even when people dont like the show they still watch becasue their emotionally invested in the characters. and it has started to pick up again, both in quality and ratings.

Heh, fat chance. I think the lead time this show would need to get from script to screen would be too much to be able to attach it to a movie releasing in May. I doubt they’ve even started writing. at best you’ll see a season 2 blu ray promo.

@MattLive BSG may be one of the exceptions, but it shows that it can be done. And they have already set a high bar for TSCC which SciFi will be obligated to keep in order to maintain viewership. And BSG had a good mixture between it being serialized and episode driven. There was the main story that almost always moved forward but there was enough action to make that serialized drama not boring to those wanting to see some cylon action. I think SciFi could pull it off. I’d rather see them try then have the show die.
And most of you are Summer and BAG fans, it seems…but I need it to be renewed so I can get my Shirley fixes. It would be even more of a treat since she would be playing an even greater role.

i think the reason john dosnt feel rite about loving cameron is that shes a robot. john is going to have to make a choice, save cameron, or save allison young. if allison young doesnt die, no cameron. as he said in today is the day pt2, human life is more valuble than a robots. i think it wood be cool if allison young asked john, “whats your name?” just like the way cameron did in the pilot, then after john tells her his name she just says, “allison”and smiles the way cameron did. anyway, i really hope theres a season 3. ive voted 15 times(i no its not alot but thats all i can do cause my mom doesnt want me on the pc) so ill try 2 do better soon. besides DBZ, TSCC is the only show ive ever have followd. id hate to see it go.

Like all of you I’m desperately hoping for a season III.
However, despite some of the rumors I can not possibly see this franchise moving to SciFi. My feeling is that Summer is at the beginning of what could be an exceptional career. Although she loves playing Cameron, moving to cable would be to detrimental to her career. And without Summer (as Cameron and/or Allison) I just can not envision this series continiung any further.

I prefer having Summer play Alison Young than nothing. It will be interesting too and we could have the chance to see Summer play a human and show her talent. I was particularly amaze by her acting talent this season on two occasion:
- Samson and Delah, the “I love you” scene.
- Alison from Palmdale: the whole episode, she was playing 3 roles (present Cameron, Alison and future-Cam fresh from factory) with subtile nuances between each
While it doesn’t really matter much(since the show is ending regardless), Terminator got better ratings than Prison Break’s return.
Lends some cred to the theory its the night that caused Terminator to sink during its back 9.

Hi, I just wanted to say I loved this series and I sincerely hope it isnt the end! I barely ever watch TV at all, and this is one of the very few shows iv truly bothered to make the effort with and enjoy very much. I think you guys did a great job to make a tv series that is quite unique in the sci-fi realm in my opinion. Its not every day a show seems to take its time to tell its story AND has the FX/budget as well, it seems its either one or the other but you guys got both and made it work.
Good luck and hope theres a 3rd season, I think it needs it.
Kate Brewster, who? WTF do we need that skanky human character on this show?

It would be an interesting question how they would handle Kate Brewster. In a way her survival depended on if she met JC before J-day in the T3-timeline. (Doesn’t mean it has to happen like that now though)
But she does become JC’s wife in T4:Salvation (Which really doesn’t need to be consistent with the T:TSCC). I find the question of destiny, true love and so on in the world of No fate still interesting to address. Or not. Perhaps Kate Brewster will never be introduced just because of that. When some stuff changes the timeline too much, like having a personal terminator transport you through time, it may be just weird to introduce a character who would’ve been JC’s love interest in a very different timeline. Not to mention, wouldn’t there be a bigger age difference between JC and Kate Brewster in the T:TSCC timeline?

Agree. Let’s hope the network also see that Friday tend to sink ratings for drama shows in general, with shows like The Ghost Whisperer being an exception (High viewership even on a Friday night). Don’t know if I want to make fun of new age-demographic not knowing how to use a DVR.
Perhaps they should introduce a psychic in T:TSCC Season 3 just to bump up that ratings if it would stay on the Friday nights timeslot… (kidding)
Matt, I assume that season 3 wouldn’t all take place in the future. its really not very practical. Its easy to do when we only get glimpses, but those glimpses were usually isolated situations. they took place in small sets, such as the submaraine.
I think they would have to have john either A, go back again at some point, maybe for his Mom and/or Cameron’s body. or B have a future that isn’t so post apocalyptic. so I could see how they could introduce brewster if they wanted if the first scenario happened, which I thin is more likely of the two.
then again I guess I could see them bringing her in to give him at least one other human to talk to. and for all we know she time traveled herself. could be one way to avoid an age difference.
@Kyle Maloney Yes, I doubt Season 3 will take place in the future. Just mentioned Kate Brewster as an interesting character from the T3 timeline and in the future in that same timeline.
Regarding the T:TSCC timeline and the beginning of Season 3, Mr Friedman would probably come up with something interesting we haven’t thought of. At this time we can only speculate. I just hope, they take advantage of the time jump into the future for some interesting character interactions with Kyle, Derek and Allison. (Father/Son theme pretty much guaranteed)
We can only guess if they are going to play out the timelines simultaneously (Sarah in present time, John in the future) or if the season starts with John coming back and we get to see what happened in the future in flashbacks. Either way works I guess.
One issue they have to address though is the creation of conflicting timelines. In theory, Sarahs actions could affect the future John travelled to and maybe even change who he is. So in theory the John who left her in the end of Season 2 may not be the same John returning back from the future.
In way Sarah may have lost her son in to a different timeline when he travelled through that time bubble without him (Messy, huh?). This could for instance be hard to play out practically if they run the parallell present and future, if they don’t wanna go for something “Frequency-esque” (Great movie btw).

@MattLive: I don’t think it will be impossible to do a season 3 that takes place in both the future and the past. I think BSG was more expensive to produces than TSCC.
Also, WB could let TSCC use Terminator Salvation sets…
In season 3, I would like to see “Cameron” helping Sarah to fight Skynet in the present (just plug the cord on the back of her head in the Turk, like JH). I hope that JH did a download of Cameron before jumping in time. Ellison and the FBI agent (the one interrogating Sarah at the prison) could help also.
In the future, John will be learning about the war, Skynet, becoming a warrior before jumping back in time before Judgement Day. He will have to work with Catherine Weaver and John Henry… secretly if he don’t want the Reese to be suspicious (in that timeline, nobody has attempt to reprogram Terminators).
Interesting twists ahead if Season 3 get green lighted!
I wonder how does Fox feel about TSCC now after the last fridays Prison Break failed premiere. Especialy considering how large internet audiance did TSCC have compared to PB.

Remember to get the SCC season 2 from amazon! it has dropped so far down their bestseller list like to 50… wouldn’t it be worth $45 if it meant we would get a season 3? it would let WB know people care…. and in the event S3 does not happen, I’m sure Josh will make sure there is plenty of great content on the disks. so it will not be money spent in vain either way.

@Etienna. Great article find. Nice to see Friedman and McG are having some kind of dialogue. Although it is a little bit sad they separate their universe rather than figuring out some technical issues with consistency where certain element do exist in both timeline.
I know it’s different timelines so many things get solved in that way, but I would like to see at least that Kyles big brother in the new movie somewhere just for consistency. I guess JC (Christian Bale) will have that “big brother” role in the movies. But the existence of Derek could’ve explained his existence before that and that Kyle lost his brother somehow. Anyhow, it’s really just a waste of time and probably time to accept that Derek won’t exist in the movies.

Okay so I understand why she said the first part, she tried to defend herself, make John feel like he was actualy killing a feeling human being.
But why did she say ‘… and you love me’?
Did she know that John felt something for her and tried to use it too?
Nice interview. I’ve read a few of McG’s interviews, and I’ve got to say that he seems like a smart guy, who has made some bad films. Maybe it was script, maybe it was a lack of vision - who knows? I’m rootin’ for him this time ’round. Don’t forget that he’s also executive producer of the TV show Chuck. Asking him questions about possible cancellation of a TV show might involve a conflict of interest on his part. I like Chuck. I really do. I like TSCC better. I’ll also be utterly disappointed if Reaper gets cancelled, but I’m still only voting for TSCC in the online polls.

THE FUTURE OF ‘TERMINATOR’ WITH BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN
Brian Austin Green recently chatted w/ Comic Book Resource and they talked extensively about his role on TSCC and the end of the season. Here’s an excerpt from the interview, click the link at the bottom to read the entire thing!
CBR: To begin, the second season finale of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” aired the other night and had a mind-blowing ending that made the episode feel more like a series finale. Was that intentional?
Brian Austin Green: No. The third season is going to be incredible, if it happens. There were no intentions of this being a series finale. It was absolutely a season finale. There’s a plan where this can go and it’s so good. You know, I went on some of the Terminator sites just to see what fans were saying Friday night and there is a lot of confusion over it.
You have this episode where John Connor travels to a future where John Connor never existed. I don’t know if people completely get it because we work on a string theory, which we’ve dealt with during the season. We dealt with that with Jessie, in the future that she came from there was Charles Fisher, who tortured everyone. In the future I came from, he never existed. I don’t remember him. We were still together within these parallel futures but they were still different and they still had their own paths. This is the same concept. For John Connor to travel to a future where he never existed, where Kyle Reese never left, where Derek and Kyle are still fighting side by side, where Allison (the human Cameron was based on) is still very much present, what becomes of John? What better situation for somebody to grow up in and become the future leader than that? Than to be fighting in what he’s been trying to prevent? Not just being the top dog, being listened to for everything, but having to actually listen and follow.
You know, people have been complaining about John Connor since the beginning of the series. Complaining about Thomas Dekker, that he’s too wimpy. They say, “How’s he going to be the leader of the Resistance?” But the idea of this show is that we’re giving people what you don’t get an opportunity to see in the films. Because films are only two hours long, you don’t get the creation, you only get the birth of something. On our show, you get to start with this kid who is fifteen years-old turning sixteen and becoming somebody. If he was just that from the beginning where does the show go? Where do we go if it’s just the “Bad-ass John Connor Show?” Then what do you do?
If we just run around and shoot, then there’s no growth. It’s one of the things that [Executive Producer] Josh Friedman works really hard at, creating a series that can grow, that has room to move and breath, and the show has that. You know, you get to the end of the season and so many of the episodes in the middle, that people didn’t like, start making sense. He’s a storyteller and he tells in a very biblical form. He’s very good at laying out a season and making the entire season the story, not just episode to episode. There was a lot of payoff but then again, for season three, a lot of now new unanswered questions.
Since you mentioned the confusion about the ending, do you think Weaver is really trying to help John, and did Sarah make it to the future at the very end of the episode?
No, she stayed back. She stayed in the present time. She stepped out of the time-bubble and John and Weaver went forward by themselves.
It’s not completely clear yet but what we’re sort of getting, as far as Weaver goes, is that Weaver could end up being somebody who was sent back by John Connor in the future and John Henry was created as an alternate to Skynet. Something [to use] within this present where Skynet is sending Terminators back to kill him. Something that on a tech level could really help him evolve and learn in a different way than Skynet did. It could be [something John set into place], we’ll find out if we come back and hopefully we’ll find out.

I just watned to add my support to the series, which is one that I avidly watch on a weekly basis here in Ireland.
The story, cast, acting, everything about it area really great, and I would hate to see another good show cancelled. It seems that networks are more concerned with putting out silly shows rather than actual good content anymore.
Fox, leave the show running. there’s more story to be told.

I’ve written an email to Fox about how important keeping the show alive is for the Terminator franchise and for the new movie and that this is one of the few shows where I am actually buying the DVDs and other merchandise like the soundtrack. I’ve signed some online petitions, I’ve voted hundreds of times on both the eonline and the SciFi.com polls and I will keep voting until both polls stop. And I’ve actually bought both the season 1 DVD and the official soundtrack.
Like Jim said, everyone counts. So, I hope, we can make an impact.

I am AFRAID to watch new shows because of the abrupt endings!
I am still bitter over the abrupt ending of “New Amsterdam”.
At LEAST offer a resolute conclusion to a series instead of yanking it from the air.
It’s all about the money. Not the viewers. Fox should get a Fox2 if they’re so worried about air time restrictions.

Damn, look at those DVR numbers. This definitely shows that the show has plenty more viewers than the Friday night ratings are showing. Delayed viewing has really proven to be a strong viewing habit for this show.
There’s a frickin 70% increase with DVR numbers for the 18-49 demographic! This is extremely high. This will hopefully make some advertisers happy.
More that making advertisers happy it will make FOX understand that moving T:SCC to Fridays was a … not so good decision.

You’re so right. There were some movie premieres which made some bumps in T:TSCC’s live ratings. The question is, will the network accept that they can’t get large numbers of live viewers as long it is on a Friday night timeslot?
There seem to be some understanding that high DVR numbers may not be a bad thing. The theory is that because people are forced to fast forward through commercials when watching using the DVR, compared to live viewers which can just switch channels - there is a chance that the awareness for advertiser’s brands might be higher.
I hope this theory is applied until better ratings systems can measure the performance of TV shows more precisely. It might save this show.
I have not looked forward to a TV show before like I look forward to this one - everyrthing about the Terminator future causes the mind to think and the writing and direction of the series has been spot on.
If this does not get renewed I will know that the execs don’t watch their own shows - theres making money and then theres finding a truely entertaining show - I know if I was in the exec team I would greenlight purely because I want to know what happens next (and I’m a business owner!!!) - put the pressure on your other product lines and enjoy this one for what it is - a chance to watch the TV, be genuinely suprised, and most importantly, think about it long after it’s aired.
I want TV that engages the brain. I want TSCC.

Terminator is the best show on TV and FOX would be crazy not to renew it! The season 2 finale was one of the most entertaining hours on TV and ended on such a high note. Here’s hoping for a 3rd season. I can’t wait to find out what the writers have in mind for the story and the characters. Thanks!

I absolutely adore TSCC and am crushed at the rumors that there won’t be a season 3. I just watched Born to Run and have so many unanswered questions and feel it would be a tragedy to just cut the story short like that.

My understanding is that FOX will announce whether or not TSCC will be renewed for a third season on May 18. I wish the network would instead wait until “Terminator: Salvation” is released and, if the movie is a hit, consider renewing TSCC for at least a half-season to evaluate whether the movie could affect a major increase in viewership. If the movie and television producers were really smart, they would figure out clever ways to intertwine the plots of the movies and TV show–just enough to allow both mediums to succeed in the future.

Fantastic interview. I cant imagine the amount of self control it took to keep quite about the reason for the destroyed set. I honestly don’t think I could have done it. I would have been shouting at monitor or newpaper or what have you at the top of my lungs.

There is a lot of series, some of them good, some of the bad. This is not a good one. In fact, TSCC if one of best and it deserves a 3th season. It has potential, very big potential and it had being giving us what T3 could not.

I think this series is worth saving and needs at least another season or two to develop itself. I watch this show every week, as it fit in with viewing Battlestar Galactica. I love the plot development and the thought that have gone into each episode. Keep this show GOING!!!
I will never understand why FOX buried TSCC on Friday night when it needed support, but pissed away their post-Idol timeslots with that gawd awful cooking show and some other forgettable drivel.
Idol kids would have stuck around for TSCC even if they didn’t understand it, and the numbers would have sent TSCC sailing through to season 3.

This is a show that I like. Unfortunately that means it’s likely to be canceled. Shows I like usually do. Sorry that I don’t like teeny bopper reality shows and the rest of the trash on TV.
It’s a great well thought out show. I have enjoyed every episode. I hope that fox realizes this and runs it for another season. I can’t always watch when it comes on because im busy but Ill waech on line. Everyone keep up the support.
I just read the article with Ashley. I was surprised that they claim they did all of the character developement that Josh wanted. If that’s true it means that Josh intended not to develope Cameron. I hope he realizes what a tragic mistake that was and how it deeply effected his ratings in a negative way. If we get a season 3 he will need to go heavy on Camerons developement to make up for these past egregious errors.
There BETTER be a third season. I look forward to watching this every week on Hulu.
If there is no third season, I will become depressed, I will just quit spending money altogether, I will just sit at home and do nothing, and I will blame Fox.
Keep voting. Not many days left on the E! Online Poll. It doesn’t seem that the “Watch with Kristin” crew have been big fans of the show. In a way it’s nice to prove them all wrong to show it’s still worth renewal.
According to Brian Austin Green (in the Skynext Podcast Interview) it may be a 50/50 chance on renewal. We should still do our job to sway the decision process in our favor, but it seems like pilot season will be the big thing affecting the survival of the show.
If Fox’s initial impression on demographic test with their new pilots fail it may help T:TSCC (demo tests are done i.e. in Las Vegas. I’ve done it myself once - I saw the pilot for a crappy little show called “Jake 2.0″.). Another big factor is whether the price of making T:TSCC is cheaper than building a new fanbase for a completely new show which may have tested well.
So in a weird way. fingers crossed for some crappy pilots from Fox this season. And if you end up in Vegas or someplace else for a demo test, you know what to do to help this show
The podcast with Brian Austin Green is very intresting, everyone should listen to it! That guy have really grown on me, my favorite male character on TSCC by far…
As for many others Summer Glau as Cameron is my favorite female character and it was somewhat heartbreaking to see her in the back for most of season 2… Still I don’t agree with those who think she had no development at all or waaaaay too little screen time. She DID show development when overriding Termination programming, being insecure of what to do and going against her programming to follow Johns wish.
It was just too little and far between the Cameron moments in s2. Also for some reason they seemed to make Cameron less human like in s2, perhaps to display her insecureness after going bad…
If we get a s3 I hope they have listened to the fans and use Summer Glau’s talent more… And Brian Austin Green. I wouldn’t mind seing very little of Sarah and alot more of John growing into the leader with Dereks support and Alison/Cameron in s3…
I don’t know why people say Cameron was less human in S2 than S1, she was only more human in the pilot when she was trying to get close to John. I think there has been some development with her learning more about the sanctity of human life and with her relationship with John - she was straight up jealous when he was with Riley, she deliberately tried to seduce him on a few occassions to get him to drop Riley, she was clearly hurt by John’s unkind words, etc. BUT i do think we need more Cameron development!
Which will be interesting if a Season 3 happens. Have John Henry’s and Cameron’s personas merged in Cameron’s chip in a Ghost-in-the-shell-ish kind of way (like Kusanagi merged with the Puppet master)? Or will they go with two separate artificial entities stuck in the same body? If any of these things happens, it will a weird but interesting to see if Garret Dillahunt can pull it off without being corny or to complicated as a viewer to follow.
Either way - there is definitely some potential character development for Cameron (and Allison). Also Cameron has some more secrets to reveal, for instance her motive for bringing JH with her to the future and her (and Allison’s) relation with future John (parallel future) and Derek Reese (Season 2 Derek) which only have been hinted and/or explained vaguely (Like the dance scene at the end of “The Demon Hand”)
It´s very very very sad!!! I hope FOX keep the efforts to make the new season. I am a huge fan of TERMINATOR Series (Movies and TVs). I admitt I didn´t some episodes but most of them were very nice and answered a lot of difficult questions.

My initial thought was that there’s no way they could do another series, it would cost too much to make a series set in the future war, or it would be too boring and mundane to be believable.
It seemed like they just finished it that way because they knew it was ending and it was a nice way to tie everything together. Kind of a sad ending in a way, because you know he’s going to have to knowingly send Alison to be copied and killed by Cameron, and send Kyle and Derek back in time to their deaths.
But then there’s the John Henry storyline which is crying out to be told. They couldn’t have put all that effort into it and only have that episode as the only pay-off…. Read more
