It may tell us very little, but it does tell us that Weaver is badass and that’s cool enough for me!
Yeah its great to see this side of her. Good promo vid, it should help to pull more viewers in if its played when people will be watching.
Agreed, Weaver looks like she’s going to be stepping up and becoming more “involved” in the action of the show. I have been waiting for a big bad-ass moment from her for months (although the “I bet that never happened either” scene was pretty brilliant in itself). Loving your work!
Gah, I can’t wait! I’ve already warned my friends that for 9 fridays starting Feb 13 I can’t go out until after 8:00pm. Of course, my ratings don’t count, but I like watching it live ^_^

Cool to see John Henry evolving somewhat independently of Ellison & Weaver, I hope it’s not just in the promo.
And the scene with Derek and John looks pretty promising too.
Definitely looking forward to this one.
Nice teaser. I’ll say this for Fox: they sure know how to entice somebody. When you think about it, Weaver actually hasn’t killed anybody (on screen) at least since “Goodbye to All That.” That was also the last episode where we actually saw her do any morphing. And I’ve wondered this since we saw the promo at the end of “Earthlings”: What call is John talking about? And who’s the dead guy John turns over? Hopefully all will be answered, and Charley Dixon will be back. Hopefully.

Ours don’t count either, unless some of us has a nielsen box by any chance. it would actually do more good to watch it on hulu as far as that goes.
I think John is talking about taking Riley to the hospital and Derek thinks it was a bad call. Like I said on other forums about John’s growth, see it to believe it. Right now he’s still an angry EMO in my opnion. These promos doesn’t tell us nothing. It’s just like when season 2 started again and it turned out nothing what the promos was.
i just noticed that at about 0:04 sarah appears to be talking on a cell phone saying to ‘burn it, burn it all’ while in front of a jail cell
What is Sarah burning? I wonder how Weaver is going to react when John Henry says shes not human. I can’t wait!

yeah the best scene in this promo is CW with the sword hands doing the scissor move!! I liked that.

Meh. More Weaver and her special effects. At least it’s not monologuing for a change. But great to see that her contrived coolness will keep taking up so much space on the show.
If the Skynet story is still all about her and those lowly characters John Henry and Ellison keep being piggybacked by episode 3, I’m cutting my losses here. The level of annoyance just isn’t worth it.
Come on guys. Give Riley some credit, she might be holding john back but he is only a 16 year old kid. hormones raging you know. One tracked mind and all that.
I miss him and cameron being close and all that, but she is a machine they cant get any closer. A smoking hot machine for sure but i dont think they will make anything of it. Just keep it in your minds gentlemen.(I will hehe!)
Yeah john is a whining brat, but he is slowly evolving, trouble is all of you want john to transform over night and be this badass saviour. i have always thought that all of the events leading up to Judgement Day evolves john into our saviour, making him ready for when the world ends. And it will, their is nothing that can be done about it
This kid has been fighting for his live ever since he was born so cut him some slack.
Chris V I’m just saying is that John is making too many careless decisions and it’s getting everybody almost killed if not killed already. One would think with his background training he would know that. To tell the truth John had more common sense in season 1 than in season 2. Also John was more active in season 1 going on mission with the others. All John does in season 2 is nothing but paint his room and go grocery shopping. I mean are you serious. Everybody else in the team is risking their lives trying to stop judgment day while John is doing nothing but sit at home mostly. He was more focused on stopping JD in season 1 then in season 2. I just saying the direction they took John Connor in season 2 wasn’t in a good direction and I pray they fix it in the back 9. They’ll going to need to if they want a season 3.

You got a point. We are a generation of instant gratification. We want John to grow up and we want NOW! but that’s not how people work and i think the writers know that all to well. I have in recent days been considering how “hard it must be to be John Connor” and I’m gonna cut the dude a little slack, not much but I’ll give him a bit of a break…
BUT I have to disagree with you on the whole Cam and John getting closer point, where they are now, there’s plenty of room for improvement! They can at least starting talking civilly to each other. This is not a one sided problem. Cam dishes it out too.

She’s annoyed with John (if cyborgs get annoyed which I think this one does in an odd sense of the word)
They need to get their relationship right even if it does mean they don’t get together romantically. I think if they really care about stopping Skynet they would assume and mold their appropriate positions: Cam as Bodyguard and John as the up and coming NOT BRATTY savior of the world!

Sorry Chris I have to disagree. Kids acting like spoiled brats is an American luxury. In places where you have to grow up or die kids mature much faster because they have to. That is supposedly the premise here. Machines are trying to kill him and he’s running off to mexico. His actions are so stupid that they are maddening. He needs to grow up now! As they say in the military, learn from the mistakes of others, you won’t live long enough in battle to make them all yourself. Adapt or die.
There’s been so little on John lately, and with his character changes, etc, let me just admit that my interest in the show is sadly waning. Visual effects are neat, but that’s not what pulled me into the show in the first place.
Snake I agree 100% us Americans act very spoiled. And ever since the 30 somethings and up (to about 40) most Americans want instant gratification. I understand what John is going through I guess. I mean he is going though PTSD his girl that he liked just cut herself. The other girl he likes isn’t really a girl at all but a machine.
PTSD does a lot to someone so I think he is adapting in a way. Give it a chance. Back off with the whole “hes acting bratty” people the kid is 16 something. I acted bratty when i was 16 and I’m sure the rest of u did also. He doesn’t have the luxry of thinking hes invincible cause hes not.
And yes Cameron is getting annoyed, I think Cameron is adapting and becoming more human.
Yeah i agree as well. This was something that really annoyed me on Heroes, with Clair acting like a spoilt brat. He needs to man up and fast. We don’t have the luxury of time when a season 3 is not guaranteed.
Very good points all of you. Snake and M.J i have to agree on most of your points. But snake, Dont you think their is a reason he is running away from things. He has never wanted this saviour “Job” and he knows that he cant get out of it.
Unlike us if we dont like our jobs we quit. john is firmly stuck in his destiny and he is rebelling against it. He is young and wants to have a girlfriend and do normal 16 year old things. Damn if i was in his boots i would be doing the same thing.
As i always think, everything that happening to john up to judgement day turns him into the leader of the human race. Because Judgement Day has to happen for john to be around. e.g Kyle needs to be sent back to create john.
Perhaps they showed john being a man to much in season one and it kinda put that in front of you and you of course expect it. but then you could argue that experience of killing someone with your bare hands kinda screws you up a bit since you have only been trained to kill machines.
I think back nine episodes will draw them all back together. We can hope. Just a shame i dont have access to american tv shows anymore and will have to wait for UK tv to catch up

The point is that he’s stuck with the situation. Sometimes you just have to man-up and make the best of a bad situation. Especially when not doing so can get you and a billion others killed. Like I said, rebellion is a luxury that is not accommodated in battle.
