  1. Why is Fringe on hold?

  2. A.H.,
I believe Fringe is on hold because (yay!) a full season was ordered, whereas only half a season had been prepared. So, to fill the rest of the order, some time had to be taken off to finish filming. That’s what I think.
Or, it could have to do with American Idol, since Fox will push anything else around in order to cater to that show, understandably.

  3. Fringe is most likely on hold due to the NYC financial crisis and issues stemming from the tax credit. I’ve read that they are moving the set from Long Island City in NYC to Vancouver Canada. See the following link:

  4. It’s because of American Idol. Fox just shafts everything else for their ratings giant, it sucks. We can’t even get reruns, and new viewers can’t discover it that way.

  5. Thanks guys!

  6. I wish this show would hurry up and come back on.

  7. Thank God! I love this show, and would be very, very disappointed if it was cancelled. It’s pathetic that idiotic reality shows edge out programming that actually challenges you to think, instead of killing your brain cells with mind-numbingly stupid episodes of American Idol (should be called American Idiot).

  8. I was ready to freak out when no new episode aired this week! I was so afraid that they would cancel the show and I would never know the rest of the story. I am so hooked!

  9. thank goodness fringe is coming back … i was having a mini heart attack and thought my tivo was not working or something crazy like that. Such a refreshing script - more and more please.

  10. Amen Jena! Fringe is the first show that contains exciting action with a good background in science. Jackson has come a long way since Dawson’s Creek. Maybe our Great Obama should take over American Idol and use all of that money to bail out the banks, give us free healthcare, and pay our bills. Go Socialism!

  11. i love this show!! please hurry up and come back!!!

  12. man, I’m really worried that since it’s been gone for so long, it’ll bomb in the ratings when it gets back. I really hope not, but I hope Fox still gives it a chance if anything.

  13. I just saw this morning on imdb.com that Fringe’s next two episodes (Inner Child & Unleashed) are scheduled to be aired on April 7 & 14th. I’m very excited! I haven’t anticipated a show such as this in a long time. I’m glad Fox has ordered up a full season & hopefully more seasons to come!

  14. my husband & i are hooked on Fringe just as we are on 24 so we hope that it comes back on soon & is not canceled.everytime we get hooked on a show it gets canceled

  15. I HATE AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!! I WANT FRINGE!!!!!!!! NOW.

  16. Shenanigans Padunkadunk

Argh! I had no idea Fringe was on hold until April. I also heard Fringe was moving from LIC to Vancouver. As a NYer who used to work in the film industry I think that sucks they are forced to move out. But honestly? the bottom line, I don;t care where they shoot just want them to shoot because I LOVE this show!!

  17. Ive just started watching this show and it is great. I was wandering what happen to it last week and when it didnt come on this week i was like what is going on??? So i came on the website to find out what was up..totaly thrilled that it hasnt been canceled and cannot wait for it come back on!!

  18. I love the show and am very disappointed the show is on hold. It’s way better then the Mentalist and the reality shows make me gag. Fringe is clever, entertaining, and exciting.

  19. I absolutely love this show and was DEVESTATED

  20. I absolutely love this show and was DEVASTATED when I thought they canceled it. I am so relieved that it is still on, just on a break. I hope it comes back soon. I miss it terribly! I would watch this OVER American Idol in a heart beat.

  21. I don’t know if I can wait for April for it to come back! I love that show! I started watching it just because of Joshua Jackson (grew up loving him) and now i’m hooked! I need Fringe to come back!

  22. yea…I have to say, the idea of taking the show off for so long is really bad for rating but man, I love Fringe. Such an awesome show, mostly on the Episodes that push the story like the last one. Now…back to Lost :)

  23. This show is the best-I wasnt sure what happened to it but so glad it’ll be back-one of the few worth staying home for…

  24. Love the show. Hope it is coming back soon!

  25. I just caught up with the show and I can’t wait for new episodes. Any idea when it’ll come back?

  26. They should push back American idol and replace it with 2 hours of Fringe. Then again I would rather watch a game of checkers than American idol. That being said I think Fringe is the best show I’ve seen in years.

  27. I can’t understand why you have to wade through the entire site hunting for information on when the new episodes air.

You would think it would be prominently displayed on the Fringe main page.

I get force fed of when every episode and reruns of American Idiot is airing.

  28. nothing to do with the above.
MY QUESTION IS DOES EVERYBODY THAT WATCHES FOX REALLY CARE WHO
WINS OR EVEN WATCHES THAT PROGRAM????
IF SO OR NOT SO,STILL WHY DO YOU STEP ON FRINGE LIKE THAT.
OK,A LOT OF FOLKS WATCHES A.I.,BUT THOSE WHO DON’T CARE IS WONDERING
WHY HAVE A GOOD SCI-FI MYSTERY ON THE SAME DAY ANT NOT SHOW IT????!!!!
TUESDAY IS NOT THE ONLY DAY IN THE WEEK.

  29. I really hope Fox takes responsibility for delaying this show for so long. Any slump in ratings is the fault of the network and should be taken into account. More Fringe and soon!
