11:00 P.M.-12:00 A.M.
When the White House learns that the bombs are secured Wayne has the staff leave the bunker and return to the Oval Office. Wayne refuses to show signs of his deteriorating health because he doesn’t want Daniels to have an opening to steal the Presidency. Lennox admits that he has a tape of Daniels conspiring to commit perjury, so Wayne threatens to use the tape in order to force Daniels to resign. While announcing the end of the terrorist threat to the press, Wayne collapses. He suffers a brain hemorrhage, falls unconscious and is taken to a hospital. Daniels assumes his office.

10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M.
Wayne bluffs launching a nuclear attack with an empty missile in order to get the ambassador to give up information. Wayne is proven right, and the ambassador admits that his country has captured a general who is helping Fayed. Wayne strong-arms the ambassador to have the general contact Fayed. Wayne’s body starts to show signs of weakness, but he refuses to allow it to prevent him from working.

9:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M.
Even though it will risk his health, Wayne has his doctor inject him with adrenaline so that he will have the strength to deal with a challenge to his presidency by Daniels. With no clear majority vote by the Cabinet, Daniels declares that Karen’s vote isn’t valid because she resigned. The issue is sent to the Supreme Court, but Daniels mysteriously withdraws his case before they can decide. Wayne’s office is intact. Much to Lennox’s horror, the first thing Wayne does is launch a nuclear strike against the terrorists’ country.

8:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M.
Wayne is brought out of his coma, and his heart crashes. The doctors revive him, and Wayne orders a halt to the nuclear strike. Wayne lets Daniels know that he is back in charge.

7:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.
Wayne is induced into a coma to alleviate brain swelling.

5:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M.
Wayne Palmer undergoes surgery for his wounds from the blast. Vice President Daniels takes over responsibility of running the country.

4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.
Wayne rallies the ambassador to side with America even though he is working with Assad. He then reluctantly grants Jack a furlough for Logan, the man who helped assassinate his brother David Palmer. Wayne can’t understand where the MIA Lennox has been, but Reed assures the President that Lennox didn’t change his mind about Assad. Just as Assad is about to rehearse his public address, a bomb explodes. Wayne is found unconscious in the wreckage.

3:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M.
Wayne asks Lennox to make revisions to Assad’s speech because he still values his judgment despite overturning his aggressive plan. Lennox has a change of heart about Wayne and he tries to stop Reed from taking out the President.

2:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.
Vice President Noah Daniels tells Wayne that he sides with the Lennox hardline approach to the terrorists. Daniels will no longer stand by Wayne’s policies.

1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M.
Wayne knows that Lennox isn’t happy about his plan being denied, but he hopes that Lennox will still be a team player. Assad arrives at the White House and Wayne wants him to go on television and denounce Fayed to all Muslims.

12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M.
Although Wayne is suspicious of Lennox’s role in Karen’s resignation he reluctantly agrees to go ahead with the increase in federal security measures. Yet after speaking with his sister Sandra, Wayne decides that Lennox’s plan is too aggressive and will alienate the Muslim Americans who will become important to stopping the terrorists.

11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.
The President gives a sober speech to the people, asking them to rise above prejudices so that America will prevail. When Karen submits her resignation, she refuses to tell Wayne that Lennox blackmailed her.

10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.
Despite some of his advisors arguing for aggressive tactics against all the countries who might have funded Fayed, Wayne insists on finding the real enemy. Wayne goes on television to make a speech about the nuclear blast.

9:00 A.M.-10:00 A.M.
After receiving confirmation that Assad does want to work towards peace, Wayne grants him an official pardon. Yet he and his advisors are still not fully convinced that Assad’s motives are genuine. The White House team watches in horror when the suitcase nuke detonates at Fayed’s safe house.

8:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M.
When CTU does not capture Fayed, Wayne has no choice but to release a batch of enemy combatant prisoners per Fayed’s demands.

7:00 A.M.-8:00 A.M.
Despite Jack’s personal plea that Assad is innocent, Wayne listens to his advisors and proceeds with attacking Assad based on Fayed’s bargain. Yet evidence proves that Fayed is behind the terrorist bombings, and Wayne realizes that Jack was right.

6:00 A.M.-7:00 A.M.
Wayne is forced to negotiate with the Chinese to release Jack so that he can turn him over to a known terrorist named Fayed. In return, Fayed will give the U.S. the location of Assad, the man suspected of being responsible for the multiple bombings currently going on. Wayne can barely express his remorse to Jack for what he is asking. Wayne has no choice but to order Assad’s assassination in hopes it will deter more attacks on America.
