Coupled was a reality show that aired for one season on FOX in 2016. Hosted by entertainment personality Terrence “J” Jenkins, Coupled followed 12 single, smart and young professional women looking for love, who met face-to-face with eligible single men against the beautiful backdrop of the Caribbean islands. The women had first choice as they decided instantly if they felt a spark of chemistry and wanted to spend more time with each guy, or if they didn’t feel a connection and wanted to wait for the next one. The real soap opera unfolded as new couples were formed and had to discover whether or not they had the compatibility to make their relationships last. Coupled also featured the one thing that all modern romances have in common – texting. The women and men were armed with cell phones throughout the series, giving the audience a front row seat to the real drama, as their text conversations popped up on screen.
Coupled was produced by MGM Television and Grandma’s House Entertainment. The series was created and executive-produced by Mark Burnett, Tom Shelly, Ben Newmark, Dan Newmark and Larry Barron. MGM served as the worldwide distributor of the series outside of the U.S. and Canada.
