A versatile performer in both comedy and drama on the stage and screen, Craig Bierko’s Broadway debut as “Harold Hill” in Meredith Willson’s legendary “The Music Man” garnered him critical acclaim and attention; he was nominated for the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama League Award, and received the Theater World Award.
Born in Westchester, NY, Bierko made his stage debut at the age of 10 as a newsboy in “Gypsy,” at a community theater run by his parents. He went on to study at Boston University and Northwestern University.
Bierko has enjoyed diverse film roles ranging from real-life boxer “Max Baer” in the drama “Cinderella Man” opposite Russell Crowe, to the clueless “Tom Ryan” in the movie-spoof “Scary Movie 4,” to the villain in Renny Harlin's “The Long Kiss Goodnight” opposite Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. Additional film credits include Larry David’s “Sour Grapes,” “The Thirteenth Floor,” “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” “The Suburbans,” “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star,” “For Your Consideration” and “Danika” opposite Marisa Tomei. Bierko recently completed production on the feature comedy “Bill” opposite Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Alba and Timothy Olyphant.
Bierko’s television credits include a recurring role on “Boston Legal” as well as memorable guest appearances on “Nip/Tuck” and “Sex and the City.” He also guest-starred on “Ally McBeal” and as Paul Reiser's prospective agent on “Mad About You.”
Bierko starred on Broadway in Daniel Goldfarb's comedy “Modern Orthodox,” also starring Molly Ringwald and Jason Biggs.
Bierko lives in Los Angeles.
