Zach Gilford is best known for his role as “Matt Saracen” on the critically acclaimed drama series “Friday Night Lights.
He will next be seen on the big screen starring opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in action-drama “The Last Stand.” He also stars in two upcoming independent features: "In Our Nature,” opposite John Slattery, Gabrielle Union and Jena Malone; and “Long Time Gone,” opposite Virginia Madsen and Sam Tramell.
Recently, Gilford was seen in the film “Answers to Nothing,” with Dane Cook. He also starred in the films “Dare,” opposite Emmy Rossum; “Super,” opposite Ellen Page and Rainn Wilson; and “Post Grad,” opposite Alexis Bledel, Michael Keaton and Carol Burnett.
He made his feature film debut starring in Larry Fessenden’s “The Last Winter,” which was nominated for a 2008 Gotham Award for Best Ensemble Cast. Other television credits include “Off the Map,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
A Chicago native and a graduate of Northwestern University, Gilford currently lives in Los Angeles.
