Crazy Stories:

Real Dumb

When I was little, my mother and grandma took a road trip to Yellow Stone National Park. I was crying in the backseat and my mom couldn't make me quit, so my grandma held me and dipped my binky in wine to try to calm me down. I was only two weeks old!

One summer, my friend and her mom were going camping with me and my mom. My mom got two speeding tickets on that trip ... by the same officer and in the same area.

Once, I was with my uncle and we were driving to some museum really far away. He took the wrong turn off making us set back by an hour and when he stopped for gas he came out with a Willie Nelson CD and had me listen to that and other really old country music the rest of the trip there and back!

My whole family went on a camping trip when I was about 5. My grandma's snoring was so loud (in the tent next to us) that I was convinced there was a bear in their tent! I was terrified.

I remember going to DC with the family a few years ago. We went to Arlington Cemetery one day. As we were leaving, there was a lot of traffic on the way out. Not trying to be funny, my mom commented, "It's like people are dying to get in here." She didn't notice her unintentional pun until the rest of the car was laughing hysterically for a minute or two.

Hazard

During Winter Break, my family and I went to Arizona. We were in a racing car fair. I started to drive and had reached full speed when my cousins told me to stop. "You have to stop!" I didn't stop ... I shocked a lady because I was 8 years old!

Crazy Parent

On one of my dad's fishing trips, the weather turned bad so he left his fish on the stringer to return to them the next day. The next day, my dad decided to take us kids with him to retrieve his fish. We were so excited to go. Little did we know that we would travel through the woods, scale a cliff with the Kern River at our feet and returned soaked from the rain storm.

On a school ski trip, I decided to go snowboarding. I stunk. Strangely, I passed it then we had to go down the hill. I tried, but I fell and could not get up. I accidentally knocked down the instructor's board. The guy started to yell at me then ran down hill. When he came back up he yelled again and told me the board had hit a little girl.

Scarred For Life

When I was 14, I went to visit my grandma. One day, I called my mom crying that grandma told me to come out of the closet! My mom's response was what are you doing in grandma's closet? I'm now happily married with two kids and it's funny but at 14? Not so much. Many more stories, but this always sticks out! LMAO!

My whole family was out camping. My sister and I thought it would be fun to go for a walk in the woods with a friend. We came up on a opening, and couldn't find our way back. We tried calling our parents and everything. We were gone for HOURS. These guys riding four wheelers picked us up, and we acted like we were dying. Ends up, we were just in a huge construction site!
