When I was about 4, my mom told me that when you're old, you die. Well, my dad didn't know she told me that, so as were driving to Pre-K, he told me that my mom is really old. I bawled and got to skip school so they could calm me down and make me stop yelling, "Mommy's gonna die!"
I was told by my grandad at a very young age that tapioca pudding was made of glue and fish eggs. Halfway through grade nine, via classroom discussion and embarrassment, I discovered that it wasn't true. I have had many experiences like this because of my tall-tale-telling grandfather!
When I was 4years old, I ended up with lice from another child in my preschool class. Instead of buying lice shampoo or taking me to a doctor or salon, my mom washed my hair in flea shampoo. Later, the doctor explained to my mom how dangerous it was to do. On the upside, I had no lice or fleas.
When we got off the school bus we had to pass a house with dogs that chased us. My friend and I got into the habit of picking up a handful of rocks to fling at the dogs.My friend reached down to grab rocks and screamed out. When I looked she was frantically shaking her hand...she had grabbed a handful of dog poop instead! We then laughed so hard she wet her pants. Classic!
I put my daughter on a behavior-mod program involving a Ziploc bag full of dimes, then she went to school and told her first grade teacher all about her "dime bag". Needless to say, we had a little conference. (And I'm honest-to-goodness the mom who has never used an illegal drug in my entire life!)
When I was in kindergarten my mom left my brother at the school with me. I think she was stressed out and needed a brake. My teacher was going to have me walk my little brother who was 3 at the time home from the school. I remember putting on my jacket and getting ready to leave. My mom finally showed up just before we left. As an adult I do not know who was dumber of the
When we were younger, my mum bought me and my brother a golden retriever puppy! He was so cute we could never leave him alone. The one time we did happened to be the same day my mum was cooking roast lamb for Sunday dinner; it took her hours to get everything nice. She came to get us when it was ready and when we got back the dog was on the table and the lamb??? All gone!
When I was about 7 or so, my school went on a field trip. My sister got really mad at me and cut my hair. Then I cut hers back. Then a few other people joined in and the teachers spent ages yelling at us. When I came home my mother was really mad. I ended up having to get 8 inches of my hair cut off!
when i was 13 i was playing kickball with my friends at school. In my school they had construction fences around the field and i though it would be fun to jump over the fence. as i jumped someone lifted the fence and my leg got caught and cracked.well the school sent me home on the bus and it took my dad a week to bring me to the hospital because thought i was faking.
It was my introduction to kindergarten - my mother took me in to meet my teachers and I was overly hyper so I was running around and into every thing but I will never live it down because the last thing I did before leaving that day was to pull the fire alarm . We moved the next week and the teachers were not sad to see me go . but I was a memorable child :)
