Friends

This is about my brother. He was playing baseball with my neighbors and his friends. All of a sudden, someone threw the ball at him. He turned his head sideways then the ball hit him. He fell and had to go to the emergency room. His ear was bleeding really bad, but guess what? My parents wouldn't even let him miss a day of school so he had to go! ~Kat

I was running late for school one day and forgot to grab my keys by the door. I didn't realize it 'til the end of school. I had to climb through the bathroom window that was right above the tub. I slipped and somehow broke the faucet in the tub. The police were called by my neighbors because my dog was barking like crazy and wouldn't stop. Worst day ever!

Babysitter

Related

I lost my first tooth and my mom gave me $20. That night Lizy (my 28 year old babysitter) stole my money. I was convinced that a robber stole it, but our phone did not work so I told our neighbors. The police came and arrested my babysitter, leaving me alone for 4 hours.

Lucky to be Alive

One 4th of July, my family and friends were enjoying a fine time with beer, booze, & homemade explosives. We were rudely interrupted by a lunatic neighbor screaming about how we were going to blow up his house. He screamed on and on about how it was illegal. My dad's crazy friend ran out with an decommissioned WW2 grenade and screamed, "Is THIS illegal?" The neighbor fled.

My sister bought a new dress and Spanx to go under her new dress. Her husband was out of town while she was doing this. She went to have her dress altered and put the Spanx on and then sent a text to her husband and me: "Have Spanx on. Can't breathe. Call 911." I laughed while her husband called the police, who went to her house and knocked the door down.

My family is very redneck and I mean my first driving lesson was on a 4X4 course. So one summer, the field at my house was filled with junk cars and my dad decided he was going to be a monster truck driver and drive over the cars.... It was quite entertaining and we got in trouble by the neighbors. Now he's living his dream as an actual monster truck driver.

Family Outing

Related

As a kid, we used to have these big parties with almost the whole neighborhood. My good friend's grandparents came to visit. We ran to the bathroom and stuck extra large cotton balls up our noses, and as we walked past them, they looked at us like we had brain damage or something!

My mom told me that when I was about three years old, I dressed as a dog for Halloween. Once I saw my neighbor, who was dressed as a princess, I started to cry, so my mom took me back home. That was the end of that Halloween!

Hazard

Related

This summer, I babysat for a rather well-off family in my neighborhood. The mom went to a reunion. I watched the 2-year-old son, who was scared of me at first. Luckily, I calmed him to the point of going for a walk in his stroller. Unable to find the garage opener, I went out a side door ... and locked us out of the house. He just sat there, grinning from ear to ear.

Crazy Parent

I grew up on a hilly street that we would sled down in the winter. My father used to pull us back up the hill on our sleds. When he would get too hot, he would horrify the neighbors by shedding his clothing down to his boxers and boots. He was quite buff at the time, so I don't think the ladies were REALLY offended.
