Submit Another StoryI learned early on not to piss off Auntie. She thought her husband was having an affair and she actually nailed his workbooks to the floor and super glued his ***** to his leg (while he was sleeping). He stayed married to her for another couple of years. He probably wanted to leave quietly!

When my sister was about 11, she and I were grounded. She was feeling sick and my dad thought she was faking it to get out of patching up all the spots on the deck (our punishment). When we were finished, my sister was visibly ill. Later that day, our dad drove us to the doctor who said her appendix was close to bursting and told us to go to the ER immediately!
I was playing hide and seek with my friends. I was running around one side of the truck and my friend was coming the opposite way. Our faces smacked so hard we knocked out front teeth! I was so numb that I just walked home like normal. When I walked in the front door my family started crying and screaming and I couldn't figure out why. Then I looked in the mirror.

My sister and brother and I dared our brother Tim to put his hand in a squirrel's nest in the tree out front. He did and was bit! He had to get rabies shots. It is still funny years later. Just how stupid was he! We were grounded for that!
When my son was 12, I began working in an ER as a tech. I went home to practice washing out ears to remove foreign objects. He wanted to do it, so I started cleaning his ears. Normally not painful. Then he started screaming, "I cant hear! I'm telling dad!" I rushed him to my job and they removed a BB from his ear. To this day, we don't know how it got in there!
One of my friends and I were ice boarding down his driveway. I hit my head on a bunch of cinder blocks. I kid you not, I died for maximum of two whole seconds.
My Great Grandfather, age 93, was convicted of murder. He had been standing in line at the rest home getting ready to receive his dinner. A woman with a walker cut in front of him. He was so irritated, he used his cane and shoved her out of the way. She had a heart attack and died on the spot. He was sentenced to "life in prison".....
I had a sewing needle in my foot and my mother being the soul of thrift and a nurse herself took me to the two doctors, chiropractors, she worked for. They froze my foot first then sliced it and still couldn't find the dang thing even with x-rays to guide them. Ended up in the ER with two sets of stitches. One from the first attempt and the second that got the needle.
When I was 4years old, I ended up with lice from another child in my preschool class. Instead of buying lice shampoo or taking me to a doctor or salon, my mom washed my hair in flea shampoo. Later, the doctor explained to my mom how dangerous it was to do. On the upside, I had no lice or fleas.
I walked in on my parents "in bed" when I was 17. I closed my eyes and started running away. I then hit the banister super hard and flew over. I landed on my back. My parents called 911. I had to explain my story repeatedly to all the nurses and doctors because they thought it was hilarious. Worst night of my life.
