When my sister was about 11, she and I were grounded. She was feeling sick and my dad thought she was faking it to get out of patching up all the spots on the deck (our punishment). When we were finished, my sister was visibly ill. Later that day, our dad drove us to the doctor who said her appendix was close to bursting and told us to go to the ER immediately!

This is about my brother. He was playing baseball with my neighbors and his friends. All of a sudden, someone threw the ball at him. He turned his head sideways then the ball hit him. He fell and had to go to the emergency room. His ear was bleeding really bad, but guess what? My parents wouldn't even let him miss a day of school so he had to go! ~Kat
My Mom decided to throw a birthday party for my 11th birthday. She invited all the neighborhood kids & made a big cake. Somehow I got food poisoning before the cake was cut but my mom didn't want to stop the party. The kids proceeded to play & eat my cake while I lay in agony on the living room couch. Once the kids went home my mom gave me some Pepto & sent me to bed.

As a kid, I never knew that treating lice the way my parents did was both illegal/dangerous. My parents killed two birds with one stone. We lived in a duplex full of roaches. They would spray where the roaches lived and sprayed our heads to kill the lice we had gotten at school. They would wrap our heads with grocery store bags. I can still feel the lice moving! ;/
My grandma and grandpa often drink, resulting in arguments. Recently, grandpa really ticked off grandma during one of their many drunken arguments, so she stabbed him. He went to the hospital, lied and said he got mugged, and they're still living happily, or unhappily ever after under the same roof. Grandma often complains that grandpa can't let stuff go.

When I was 10, my little brother thought it would be funny if he stuck his finger down a lizard hole. All of a sudden, he screamed as loud as he could! When I was 5, I stuck a bead up my nose. I was rushed to the emergency room. Before they could get me into the procedure, I was in the waiting room, watching SpongeBob. It was so funny, I fell on the floor, and the bead fell out!
When my sibling was diagnosed with an ear infection, Mom took him to see the doctor. The doctor gave a prescription of amoxicillin. My Mom wasn't sure what to do so she asked her sister-in-law to help. It took the two of them to hold the kid down to pour the amoxicillin into his ear! It was supposed to be given to him by mouth! True story! The most amazing Mom ever!
