Crazy Stories:

Lucky to be Alive

Related

One day, my cousin Nathan was in charge of me and my two cousins. We made him mad so he locked us in the same bathroom that my aunt's dog's puppies were in. There was no air in there. We told him we were hungry so he sent food under the door! My aunt finally let us out 2 hours later.

Neighbors

I lost my first tooth and my mom gave me $20. That night Lizy (my 28 year old babysitter) stole my money. I was convinced that a robber stole it, but our phone did not work so I told our neighbors. The police came and arrested my babysitter, leaving me alone for 4 hours.

Family Outing

Related

When my brother and I were little, my uncle would visit and we'd all sit at the pool in our apartment complex. He refused to listen to my mom about us not being able to swim, and one day, when my mom went inside for something, he threw my brother into the deep end expecting him to doggy paddle instead of sink. We still wont let him around us near pools!!

This summer, I babysat for a rather well-off family in my neighborhood. The mom went to a reunion. I watched the 2-year-old son, who was scared of me at first. Luckily, I calmed him to the point of going for a walk in his stroller. Unable to find the garage opener, I went out a side door ... and locked us out of the house. He just sat there, grinning from ear to ear.

Babysitter

Related

When I was 7, my sister (14) was able to babysit me. My sister and I went for a bike ride while my older sister was asleep. We put a note on the fridge so she could see. When we returned home, we were locked outside so we decided to climb through a window only to be greeted by 3 cops with their guns pointed at us. My sister had called the cops because we were missing!

Scarred For Life

Related

I am the youngest of 7. When my parents went out, my older siblings babysat me. We played hide-n-seek. My brother would help me. He'd put me someplace snug, like the top shelf of the linen closet. He'd hide me so well, I'd fall asleep waiting. It wasn't until I was in my 40s that my siblings finally told me that their version was to leave me asleep. I was easy to sit.

Hazard

Related

When I was a baby, my mom used to tie me to a stone with some line to walk on. I was kinda wild and restless and could not sit still for long, so my mom found out that that was the solution for me not to run away. When my grandma had me while my parents was on holiday, she did the same thing when she was in the potato field. They did give me some toys to play with, though.

Relatives

Related

When my sister was 8, she watched Psycho with me when I was supposed to be babysitting her. The next day, I snuck in the bathroom while she was taking a shower and ripped open the shower curtain with a hair brush in my hand and made the screeching noise from the movie. This happened 11 years ago. She still locks the door to the bathroom to this day.

Crazy Parent

Related

When I was 13, I got a half-brother. My mom had lost her touch with parenting so I often volunteered to take him in for the weekend. One Friday, his dad brought him over. He was two and he kept saying "Owie, owie Sissy!" When it was time to check his diaper, I found that his parents had run out of diapers so they'd tied him up with a thong!

Collateral Damage

Related

As young working parents, we met a teen girl at the pool. We thought she was trustworthy and invited her to become the new babysitter. She brought her own daughter to my house. She also found my credit cards and took her mother shopping at a department store. Pictures were taken at the store. She left her residence before police could find her!
