Returning for a remarkable eighth season, 24 is one of the most innovative, addictive and acclaimed dramas on television. The suspenseful series has been nominated for a total of 57 Emmy awards, winning for Outstanding Drama Series (2006) and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for star Kiefer Sutherland (2006). For each season, Sutherland has garnered an Emmy nomination and the Season Seven prequel, "24: Redemption," earned him Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations.

Season Eight of 24 promises to combine the show's unique and trend-setting format with compelling new elements. Each episode will again cover one hour of real time, as viewers follow JACK BAUER (Sutherland) through another astonishing day.

Amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations, Bauer will endure another unthinkable, nail-biting day in New York City. Steadfast PRESIDENT ALLISON TAYLOR (Cherry Jones) navigates the uncertain waters of foreign and domestic policy while quirky CHLOE O'BRIAN (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and FBI agent RENEE WALKER (Annie Wersching) return. Additionally, Bollywood icon Anil Kapoor ("Slumdog Millionaire") will make his American TV debut as ARMAN HASHEMI, a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the U.S. on a peacemaking mission.
