Homemade Orecchiette with Rustic Tomato-Beef Sauce

Scott used the fresh ground beef the Top 36 received in the third episode to make this rustic pasta dish that impressed the judges and got him through to the Top 18.

Ingredients

For the pasta

  • 1 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour

Directions

To make the sauce

  1. Heat the oil in a heavy large saucepan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until brown, breaking the beef into small pieces with the back of a spoon, about 10 minutes.
