Pan-Roasted Pork Chops with Mushrooms and Pomegranate Gastrique

The Top 6 were stunned to see the last 8 eliminated contestants return to the MasterChef kitchen for a chance to come back into the competition.

The first part of the redemption challenge involved a bizarre Mystery Box where the 8 contestants were asked to pick one ingredient each, and they put together quite an eclectic selection.

Ryan made this excellent pork chop dish, and he had the judges raving about the flavor of and cook on the chop. This dish put him one step closer to being brought back before Josh ultimately took that spot.
