Malcolm gets paired with an attractive, popular girl named Vicki for a science lab experiment. Vicki admits that she requested to work with Malcolm because he's cute. They plan a date but she abuses him in front of her popular friends. Malcolm goes along with the charade that they aren't dating until Jessica declares that she likes him. Malcolm dumps Vicki at the school dance only to have Jessica confesses that she lied about her feelings for him.

Dewey earns a free round of miniature golf. When denied for his game by the manager, Dewey seems fine with the decision. Hal speaks up for Dewey, confronting the manager and embarrassing Dewey. They return after hours to reclaim their free round and Dewey locks Hal inside the windmill.

Lois cuts off Reese after dreaming that he is still living at home at fifty. Restricted from all privileges in the house including bathing, Reese begins to smell and is banished to the backyard. Lois injures her back and allows Reese to move back inside and take care of her. He then dreams about sponge-bathing an old, grotesque Lois and vows to get a job and a life of his own.
