Chapter 616
While working the graveyard shift, Malcolm discovers a man named Norm who
lives in the ball pit of the Lucky Aide. He agrees not to tell Lois as long
as Norm feeds Malcolm information about his new, cute fellow employee. Lois
finds out anyway, and she gives him up because she believes that Norm shouldn’t
get to live off the grid while everyone else is suffering through life.
Norm moves to Walmart. Reese goes to work for an exterminator service, and his new boss has him infesting people’s lawns with caterpillars in order to drum up business. Yet instead of spreading the caterpillars, Reese nurtures and cares for them in the garage.
One morning, Reese wakes up to find a beautiful
butterfly land on him. Followed by many more. Hal and Lois walk in to find
him completely covered in butterflies. What was once beautiful has turned
horrifying.
