Recap
Cobb and Glue Boy pursue a gunman who has just murdered somebody. Cobb almost catches him, but is caught off guard when he and the perp recognize each other. The perp uses the moment of confusion to get away, and he slams a metal pipe into Glue Boy's head, just as Cobb draws a bead on him and shoots him dead. Glue Boy is hospitalized in grave condition; Love Tap is furious at Cobb. Cobb admits to Boulet that the perp was part of the gang he used to run with.

The murdered man was Trent Roberts, a wealthy man who was helping people rebuild their homes. His watch has been stolen. Cobb tells Boulet he's going to find his old gang and infiltrate them so the NOPD can take them down.

Ayana frets to Boulet that Tawni's school has no budget for extracurricular activities. Not even music. Boulet interrupts and tells her he saw her with another guy. Who is he? He's Ken, Tawni's teacher from Atlanta. She swears there's nothing going on, but it's obvious there are feelings there on both sides. Especially since he followed her down to New Orleans from Atlanta.

Cobb tracks down his old buddy and leader, Quentin, though first he ends up with a gun pointed at him by Quentin's accomplice, Telly. Quentin calls Telly off and gives Cobb a warm welcome. Telly's upset – this is the guy who took their money, but Cobb says they owe him for rotting in jail for two years and never ratting them out. And he says the money's spent. As Quentin and Cobb reminisce, Wanda, Quentin's girlfriend enters; she's stunned to see Cobb. They've obviously got some history between them. Cobb tells Quentin he wants back in; Quentin agrees, to Telly's annoyance. They're hitting an antique store on Royal tomorrow night.

At HQ, Embry asks Boulet where Cobb is; Boulet says he's "running late." Embry says that Trent Roberts was being investigated for embezzlement. And the dead perp has been IDed as Karl Dixon. Embry tells Boulet to investigate him and the gang he belonged to. Later, Boulet warns Cobb that the NOPD are already on the gang's trail. Cobb tells him about the antique store. Boulet warns Cobb to "escape" before they take the gang down, or Cobb's career is over.

Cobb returns to Quentin's place to find there's no antique store job; Quentin is testing to see if Cobb's a mole for the cops. At the store is a 12-year-old kid who will call Quentin if he sees any cops. Boulet realizes at the last moment what's going on and threatens the kid with juvie if he doesn't call in to say everything's clear. He does. Cobb's in. Later, Cobb is searching Telly's room and finds Trent's watch. Telly catches him; Cobb claims to be looking for cigarettes, but Telly isn't buying it. A fight breaks out. Wanda breaks it up, and patches up a cut Telly gave Cobb. It turns out they once had plans to run away together. Cobb says that's not what he's here for now; it's just business. Quentin, who is perfectly aware of the heat between Cobb and Wanda, interrupts and says they've got something big coming up, but Cobb will need to get a hold of some C-4. He won't say anything more.

Boulet interviews Deanna Roberts, Trent's wife. She's distraught and has no information. Her 12-year-old daughter, Lana, tells them to leave her mother alone.

Boulet volunteers to get the C-4 for Cobb. In the supply room, Boulet finds there's a new supply clerk, from Minnesota. Boulet dares him to eat some real New Orleans food, and cooks up an extra-super-spicy dish that sends the guy straight to the bathroom while Boulet steals the C-4.

When Boulet goes home that night, he's alarmed to find Anaya and Tawni aren't there, then relieved to find an answering machine message that they're just at Tawni's friend's place. He then hears something outside; it's Ken, the man he saw Anaya with. He's bringing flowers – gardenias, which Ken says are Anaya's favorite. Ken criticizes Boulet for not being there for his wife and child after the storm. Boulet threatens him and tells him to go away.

Cobb delivers the C-4, but Quentin still won't say what the job is, and gets defensive and suspicious that Cobb keeps asking. Wanda says just to tell him – and Quentin backhands her across the face. Afterwards, Cobb notices that she's still wearing a sailboat necklace he got for her. He tells Wanda that it's never too late to change. She wishes she could believe that.

Cobb meets with Boulet, who advises him to pull out now; the job's in three hours and Cobb still has no information. Cobb refuses, and Boulet gives him two hours or he's calling in SWAT. Cobb goes back to Quentin's to find that Wanda followed him and saw him meeting with a cop, and she's told the others. Quentin pulls a gun on him.

Two hours later. Boulet, Embry and a SWAT team burst into Quentin's place to find it abandoned. Stove's still warm. There are .45 millimeter bullets there like the kind that killed Trent. And technical specs for a safe. Boulet does some quick research and finds that Trent Roberts owns a safe just like it.

Quentin, Telly, Cobb and Wanda are at the Roberts house, where Quentin threatens Lana to force Deanna to tell them where the safe is. It contains a million dollars from Trent's embezzlement scheme; Quentin knows because a friend of his helped Trent to cash the stolen checks. Quentin tells Cobb to hurry up wiring the C-4 on the safe or he'll kill Deanna and Lana. Cobb suddenly pretends that the C-4 is unstable and about to blow in order to grab Lana and jump out the window – just as the SWAT van arrives.

As Cobb runs towards the van, Telly realizes that he's a cop. Quentin just wants to get away now, but Telly wants the cash and stays inside. Quentin takes Deanna hostage, gun to her head, and edges outside, warning the cops she's dead if anybody makes a move. He tells Wanda to come on. Cobb shouts over a megaphone for Wanda to remember what they talked about and walk to him. Wanda makes her decision. She starts walking towards Cobb – and Quentin shoots her in the back, just as Telly finds the detonator and causes an enormous explosion, during which Quentin gets away. Cobb tends to the dying Wanda, who is happy that Cobb changed, and wishes she could've. She dies in his arms.

Later, Boulet tells Cobb there's a huge federal manhunt for Quentin. Cobb says this isn't over. Glue Boy arrives in a wheelchair, to much applause from the officers present. He'll be back on his feet in a couple of days. Cobb apologizes to him and swears it'll never happen again. Later, Embry tells Cobb and Boulet never to keep him in the dark again.

That night, Anaya comes home to find a houseful of gardenias. Boulet tells her New Orleans isn't the only thing in his life that matters – and if leaving is the way to do right by her and Tawni, he's willing to discuss it. Moved, she says that school has already started, and Tawni has friends here. "Why don't we both give it a little time?" she asks. Boulet happily agrees, and they fall into each other's arms.

Meanwhile, Cobb, alone in his trailer, stares forlornly at the sailboat necklace.
