ANTHONY ANDERSON

Anthony Anderson is becoming one of Hollywood’s most versatile and sought-after talents. A native of Los Angeles, Anderson fostered his skills at a young age and attended the city’s prestigious Los Angeles High School for the Arts. As a student, he received his first accolades, winning the NAACP’s ACTSO Award for his performance of the classic monologue from “The Great White Hope.” That performance, along with his dedication and talent, earned him an arts scholarship to Howard University.

In 1996, Anderson landed his first professional job, starring in the teen series “Hang Time.” He quickly landed guest-starring roles on many shows, including “JAG,” “NYPD Blue” and “Ally McBeal.” In 2003, Anderson again brought his talent and humor to the small screen, in his own sitcom, “All About the Andersons.” More recently, Anderson appeared in the critically acclaimed FX drama “The Shield” opposite Michael Chiklis and Glenn Close, and on the FOX series ‘TIL DEATH, opposite Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher.

On the big screen, Anderson has appeared in over 20 films, including “Me, Myself & Irene,” “Barbershop,” “Exit Wounds” and “Hustle & Flow.” Most recently, he was seen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-winning feature “The Departed” as well as Michael Bay’s summer blockbuster, “Transformers.” He has earned three NAACP Image Award nominations.

Anderson currently lives in Los Angeles. He is married to his college sweetheart and they have two children.
