"The Good Buck"

A drunken Buck comes into Strickland Propane and takes Donna, an employee, into the back room for some special "accounting." Buck asks Hank to cover for him in case his wife stops by. Hank recounts the episode to Peggy, who reminds Hank that Buck has always been reckless.

A despondent Buck hits rock bottom after his wife discovers his infidelities and asks for a divorce. Hank defends Buck, his mentor and the man who first introduced him to propane, against Peggy's criticism.

Luanne takes a special interest in Buck and becomes his Bible tutor, much to Peggy's chagrin. But Buck has no interest in the Bible -- he wants Luanne. Soon a few guys in the neighborhood, including Joseph, learn about the special tutoring and ask Luanne to tutor them. A seemingly oblivious Luanne eagerly agrees to help the guys.

During a Bible session, the guys get competitive for "Jesus hugs" from Luanne, prompting Hank and Peggy to intercede. Buck decides that Luanne will be his new wife and pops the question, but a surprised Luanne flatly rejects him, sending Buck spiraling to a new low.

Hank refuses to give up on Buck and the two bond over stories about their propane experiences. A newly inspired and grateful Buck tells Hank he's re-dedicating himself to work and to life.
