When Peggy, Minh and Nancy realize that the school board has become a joke, Minh decides to run for a seat on the board. The girls are supportive, and Peggy, in particular, is excited because she thinks it will help her agenda.

Minh's main goal is to improve the school for Connie, and she insists that teachers need to have four years at a training school. But Peggy realizes if this happens, she won't be able to teach because she doesn't have the qualifications.

Peggy tries to stop Minh's election by getting Nancy to denounce Minh on her television weather program. Bobby and Connie find themselves taking sides, and the guys are stuck in the middle.
