The teams return to the dorms after the shocking exit of Colleen. Andrea knows she narrowly escaped elimination herself and vows never to go up on the block again. Meanwhile, J, shaken by his terrible performance in the last dinner service, makes a teary promise to his family not to let them down again.
A new begins with Hell's Kitchen, and with it comes Chef Ramsay's announcement that for the first time ever, they will be open for a Bar Mitzvah party! Everyone is excited; Ben most of all, who is himself Jewish and remembers fondly his Bar Mitzvah.
Chef Ramsay explains to the chefs that during special events, it is their job to turn take the customers favorite dishes and turn them into fine dining creations. In order to explain fully which dishes the Bar Mitzvah Boy wants, Chef Ramsay brings in his mother and grandmother. For the challenge, the chefs will have to turn chicken soup, hamburgers and brisket into fine dining dishes. The winning dishes will also be featured on the menu for the Bar Mitzvah party.
The men are confident with Ben leading the kitchen using his knowledge of Jewish cuisine. In the red kitchen, Carol goes against the wishes of the rest of her team by smothering her hamburger in bleu cheese.
Max, the Bar Mitzvah boy is the guest judge, and chooses the Blue team as the winners after being overpowered by the bleu cheese in Carol's burger.
The Blue Team enjoys a great day of relaxation and bonding at the spa. The red team works with the party Planner, Francisco to transform the restaurant, but tensions in the red team continue as Carol and Andrea argue over how to put together the dance floor.
After a whole day of prep, Hell's Kitchen opens for it's first ever Bar Mitzvah Service. Things don't go smoothly as Andrea forgets mushrooms for the risotto. Carol offers help, but Andrea declines.
As the second part of the punishment, the red team holds Max up in the chair for the tradition Hora Dance. The Blue Team takes advantage of the situation by getting out more entrees ahead of the Red Team. However, their momentum stops when J forgets to deliver a salad with no dressing. Chef Ramsay warns J and tells him to snap out of it.
All of the appetizers are served, but Chef Ramsay will not send any of the entrees until the guest of honor, Max is served. Chef Ramsay calls out Max's order, but Coi has forgotten the burgers in the storeroom. After starting the burgers behind schedule, Coi undercooks the them, despite her teammates help. Chef Ramsay is irate that the burgers are cold, and Coi must redo the table again.
With Max finally eating, both kitchens move on to the rest of the entrees. In the blue kitchen, Danny sends Chef Ramsay dirty plates. Meanwhile, in the red kitchen, Coi is falling behind on the meat station. The communication and organization in the red kitchen starts to fall apart and the red kitchen is in chaos.
In the blue kitchen, Lacey has trouble reheating the brisket. Her team gets frustrated with her, and despite Chef Ramsay continuously calling out "Where's the beef", she still can't manage.
The red team works to put out the last of their entrees, but when Carol falls behind helping cook the burgers, Andrea tries to step in to provide unwanted help. Carol and Andrea argue, but Chef Gloria quickly breaks it up.
In the dining room, Party Planner, Francisco is ready with the Bar Mitzvah cake, but Jean Philippe startles him and Francisco drops it all over the floor. Disgusted and embarrassed, JP yells at Francisco for ruining yet another Hell's Kitchen celebration. The pressure is put on the kitchens to make up for the lost cake by completing all of the desserts.
Dinner is finished, but chef Ramsay has one more surprise for Max. He introduces the Harlem Globtrotters! They invite Max to join them in the Magic Circle, and all of the guest leave happy. While cleaning up in the red kitchen, Carol tells Andrea that she was so mad over her unwanted help, that she wanted to punch Andrea in the throat. Andrea exits the kitchen pissed off, calling Carol a bitch.
Even though both kitchens completed dinner service, the red team loses, and Andrea is selected to nominated two teammates. LA, Carol and Coi are amazed thinking that Andrea was far from the best, and when she nominates, they plan to let their disapproval be known. Carol tells Andrea she was not the best, and Andrea is shocked.
The elimination begins, and when Chef Ramsay asks Andrea who her nominees are, she waffles. Chef Ramsay is annoyed and tells her that she must make a decision. Flustered, Andrea nominated Coi and LA for elimination. After giving their please, Coi tells Chef Ramsay that she thinks Andrea was the worst tonight. Carol and LA are quick to agree, but when Chef Ramsay asks Paula, she says that Coi was the worst. In the end, after much confusion, Chef Ramsay sends Coi home.
