      • Dr. Walter Bishop examines Emily, a teenager who can see deaths before they happen. She sketches her visions and gives the drawings to the people she knows are about to die.
      • Agent Astrid Farnsworth gets a readout of Emily's brainwaves as the girl tells the Fringe team how her ability first manifested.
      • Walter explains to Emily that part of her brain is highly active and may be allowing her to sense vibrations from traumatic future events echoing backward through time.
      • Emily holds her picture of a future mass death the team hopes to stop. She draws these images because they fade, like dreams, and she shows the victims her sketches to give them a chance to say goodbye or do something good.
      • Agent Olivia Dunham, thinking about the Observer's warning that she must die in all futures, asks Emily if she's sensing anything right now, here with her?
      • Emily's dad, Jim, wants to take her home, but Peter Bishop says that she can still help. Walter can hypnotize her to recall the details of her vision.
      • Under hypnosis, Emily describes what she's seeing. Peter tries to figure out what the information means, but the vision of so many dead people is scaring her.

      • After ordering the release of This Side's Agent Lincoln Lee, Walternate briefs Colonel Broyles on the human shapeshifters and his suspicions that Fringe Agent Murphy was one of them.
      • Walternate listens to Col. Broyles explain that Agents Lee and Dunham are following up a lead on Murphy — a lead that takes them to a mysterious new enemy.
      • The enemy is David Robert Jones, an evil scientist from the other universe, whom Peter Bishop killed in his timeline. Though in custody, he orchestrates the deaths of ten people. More will die if he's not released immediately.
      • This Side's Lincoln Lee can't believe that Walternate is willing to let Jones go.
      • Hoping to change Walternate's mind, Lincoln appeals to Peter to tell everyone just how dangerous Jones is.
      • But Peter doesn't get to say anything. Walternate calmly tells Lincoln that he understands his concerns, but he can't risk any more civilian deaths.
      • Walternate says they can track Jones after releasing him and maybe find out more. Agent Lee reveals that he put an internal tracker in Jones' tea. Good idea.

      • Agents Astrid Farnsworth, Olivia Dunham, and Lincoln Lee arrive at a Beacon Hill apartment building to investigate a bizarre murder.
      • Astrid and Lincoln take a closer look at the dead man, Jack. What could have caused his skin and hair to turn completely white?
      • Astrid examines Jack's body, while Olivia surveys the scene. What's with all the broken glass?
      • Agent Phillip Broyles explains to Olivia that the glass was shattered when a uniformed officer shot at what he believed was the killer.
      • Horrified tenants stare at Jack's body as the officer who shot at the suspect prepares to talk to the Fringe team.
      • Lincoln and Olivia interview the police officers. The one who shot at the suspect uncomfortably admits that he didn't exactly see anything, but he FELT something.
      • When Olivia asks Astrid if the weird things they see bother her, she says every day. If it wasn't for the agency shrink, her head would've exploded a long time ago.
