The smooth waltz is one of the most graceful dances in International ballroom competition. The dancers move with a fluid style, emphasize long lines with their bodies, rise and fall on their feet, and make constant turns. This version is a very slow and languid form of the traditional waltz. There are several variations of the waltz, and the American style usually emphasizes open movements between the partners and individual spins. In Season 3, Pasha Kovalev and Jessi Peralta won over audiences with a smooth waltz routine danced to Norah Jones' "Come Away with Me," which was choreographed by Tony Meredith.
