This spirited, rhythmic dance originated in Brazil and is born from samba music. The nightclub version ultimately evolved into a ballroom dance, which is very dissimilar from its roots. The signature move of the samba is a combined bouncing and dropping motion in which the dancers bend and then straighten their knees to the beat. Some consider Lacey Schwimmer and Danny Tidwell's Season 3 samba to be one of the best performances of the series' entire run. They danced to "Hip Hip Chin Chin" by Club Des Belugas in a number choreographed by former Season 2 contestants Dmitry Chaplin and his assistant, Heidi Groskreutz.
