FOX asked us to play a practical joke on our cast for April Fools, so we hired an actress to play “Murlotta Jones,” a first-time interviewer who is anything but smooth…

Check out the strange interview and Brian, Thomas, and Summer’s response!

Nominations for The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films’ 35th Annual Saturn Awards were just announced and we’re in it to win it. Take that, Lost.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was nominated for “Best Network Television Series,” Lena Headey was nominated for “Best Actress in Television,” Thomas Dekker was nominated for “Best Supporting Actor in Television,” and Summer Glau was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress in Television.” Congrats to our entire team!

According to the official release, the Academy was founded in 1972 to honor and recognize genre filmmaking. Over the years, the Academy has expanded their reach to include other film genres. The organization also honors television, and home entertainment. Robert Holguin presently serves as President of the 37 year old organization. In the television categories, Lost once again found its way to the top with 11 nominations. NBC’s Heroes rescued 6 nominations, followed closely by Sci Fi’s Battlestar Galactica and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles with 4 nominations. Showtime’s Dexter, garnered 3 nominations. Fox’s Fringe, HBO’s True Blood, AMC’s Breaking Bad and TNT’s The Closer and The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice uncovered 2 nominations.

Monday night was Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles night at the Los Angeles Kings (hockey!) game at the Staples Center. Not only did an exclusive, new promo run on both the jumbotron and the ice throughout the game, Thomas and Leven were in attendance to promote the show!

It was an exciting game, resulting in a shootout where the Atlanta Thrashers ultimately terminated the Kings. Nonetheless, DVD/T:SCC T-Shirt prize packs were given out to lucky fans and a good time was had by all! Thomas, Leven, and friend of the T:SCC family, Anthony Fitzgerald pose while they enjoy the game! You may not like what she’s up to with John Connor, but Leven’s sure one dedicated hockey fan!

We’ve got another great friend in io9 who previews tonight’s all-new episode, The Good Wound. Charlie Jane Anders deems it another “solid episode of the show that keeps going where no movie spinoff has gone before. It’s still finding new places to take its robots-from-the-future premise, and new ways to reference James Cameron’s original films. And it’s still filling me with a cautious optimism that this is all going someplace really interesting.” It is.

Meanwhile, the man behind those great cast interviews at TV Guide, Matt Mitovich, sits down with Kyle Reese, Jonathan Jackson to talk about his return to the series tonight.

The always awesome TVAddict follows up his sit down with Thomas with a great interview with Richard T. Jones. It seems like those two are already planning their big push for that Ellison/Sarah romance Richard’s so keen on…

Brian Ford Sullivan continues to rock it and support the series over at The Futon Critic with a sit down with Thomas and another autographed poster giveaway.

while you were out: “john connor”

In anticipation of our big return on Friday night, we’re going to do a series of catch-me-ups to bring you up to speed with where we last left our favorite characters…

His fate was written before he was born — John Connor, the future leader of mankind. But this John Connor’s only sixteen years old and just now beginning to understand the sacrifices it will take to become the man he needs to be. Now he’s dealing with the reality of a mother who couldn’t protect him from thug Sarkissian, an intimacy with his robotic protector who may or may not have his best interest at heart, and the effects of a romantic relationship with his new, seemingly normal girlfriend, Riley.

Following Sarkissian’s murder, John’s been haunted by PTSD and grasping for the life he knows he can’t have. His relationship with Riley evolving despite his better instincts, we last saw John clutching her body after her apparent attempted suicide. It’s all complicated by the fact that he’s been haunted by Cameron’s (manipulative?) claim that she loves him and he loves her, and questions uncle Derek as to his own decision making capability in the future. But has the line become too blurred between alter-ego John Baum and the real John Connor? Or is John actually learning the things he needs to become the humane, brave man that will lead mankind?

Our cast is out selling the show this week in promotion of the big return on Friday night. Make sure you catch them in all their glory and tell your friends, of course!

Thomas appears in-studio on E!’s Chelsea Lately tonight, Thursday, February 12th at 11:35PM. If you caught his appearance on Attack of the Show, you know this will be entertaining…

But that’s not all for young John Connor. Dekker leads Access Hollywood on a tour of the headquarters of Almost Human, our Special FX Makeup Guru, Rob Hall’s workspace. Access Hollywood also airs tonight on NBC at 7:30PM.

Meanwhile, Shirley drops by The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson again to chat up her fellow Scot as well tonight! Thursday, February 12th (technically Friday the 13th because it airs after midnight) at 12:35AM.

And if you miss her on Ferguson, catch Shirley as the premiere guest on Good Day LA, Friday morning between 9:00-10:00AM.

KTLA Morning News, however, will have our John Henry, Garret Dillahunt, to rouse up excitement for the night’s big event. His appearance airs between 9:00-10:00AM as well.

If you’re a bit more old fashioned and would rather be convinced into watching the show via radio, Brian Austin Green will be the guest on Valentine (104.3 MYfm) Friday morning at 7:30AM.

And right before the big premiere, Summer will be co-hosting Extra with Dollhouse star, Eliza Dushku, from 7:00-7:30PM! Extra, Extra!

Tune in!

Big thanks to everyone that came out for today’s live chat with Josh and Thomas. It was an overwhelming success so we definitely intend to have more of them. Special thanks to Fancast for hosting it, and of course, Thomas and Josh!

You know we’re back next week and we’re celebrating in a big way.

Keep checking here as we’ll have fun, frequent announcements and special treats to keep you occupied all week long, culminating in the big Friday night spring premiere of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles! Perhaps we’ve even got one very, very exclusive gift for a special diehard Chronicler (is that what we’re calling you?).

We’ll also remind you of cool cast appearances (Shirley’s back on Craig Ferguson, Thomas is dropping by Chelsea Handler’s set, Summer is co-hosting next Friday’s Extra), as well as get you back up to speed on where we last left off (as if you forgot!). Hopefully you enjoyed Thomas’s nice journey around the T:SCC set — but that’s not our last video podcast. Keep an eye out for more fun… and don’t forget: one week from today.
