It may or may not have any direct significance in Fox’s choice to cancel this show or not. It may have an indirect effect at showing how loyal and how prominent this(and the other shows as well) show’s fanbase really is. Fox may indeed be aware of this and other polls in the blogosphere and wikiverse on the web.
At first I thought they might have switched it up because TSCC was winning, but I think it was more that they knew Chuck could never catch up to us, and they want it to be a fight to the death.

According to Brian Austin Green (on his Skynext Podcast Interview) it may now be a 50/50 chance on renewal. We should still do our job to sway the decision process in our favor by voting and showing how strong the fanbase the show has. Still it seems like the pilot season will be the big thing affecting the survival of the show.
If Fox’s initial impression through their he demographic tests on their new pilots fail it may help T:TSCC (demo tests are done i.e. in Las Vegas. I’ve done it myself once - I saw the pilot for a crappy little show called “Jake 2.0″.).
According to Green, another big factor is whether the price of making T:TSCC is cheaper than building a new fanbase for a completely new show. Showing how strong the fanbase is by sending mails to Fox and voting in polls can help the network make that assessment in favour of T:TSCC.
So the solutions are keep voting and send polite email to Fox Pres: kevin.reilly@fox.com - ask him to save the show. Also send copy of the letter to askfox@fox.com.

You may remember an episode called “Queen’s Gambit.” I believe it formerly introduced the character of Derek and lead to the death of Andy Good. Well, the writers of this show have sacrificed their queen on both season finales. I am not sure there is much room for more originality then destroying the character of Cameron. If you somehow get a third season, you will likely find they will use the same tactic again. The show has more holes then Cameron’s clothes.
I have still got two days I am going to take off work, drink energy sodas and terminate your show.

I propose that should we get renewed, that the writers have Hadley put up a post asking us what us fans would like to see happen in Season 3. They don’t necessarily have to do whatever the majority wants to do, since afterall it is Friendman’s and their story, but it would send a good signal of gratitude to all these who are slaving away madly at saving our show. Or they could do the reversal, and ask what us fans DO NOT want to see in Season 3. Either way, it gives a heads up on the expectations from the fan base and perhaps can work out for the better.

For those worrying about the negativity of Shirley’s comments: don’t be.
It was a rumoured fact that she wasn’t going to be in the biz for any longer than one season, and that she wants to get back to doing her music. Plus, it is also believed that the stresses and commitment required for working on a show like TSCC was more than she bargained for.
So don’t stress too much over it. Shirley has her thing, TSCC will go on without her (though it’ll be a shame to lose her portrayal of Weaver, but then the character *is* a shapeshifter after all).

For those of you that have not heard it, check out BAG’s Skynext Podcast interview. He’s hilarious, but more importantly, he’s so very grateful and respectful to the Terminator franchise and fan community! Starkiller, that is pretty much all we can do. I voted 10 times the same way that you did. We’re really devious when you think of it LOL So the best strategy is to make a max of publicity to the Imbd poll on every board, blog and forum that might be interested. I already did so on the message board of e-online Canada, where it was pretty safe since it has been Terminator only for a day. I ponder what to do on e-online UK where there are more Chuck fans but with a large domination of the Termies.

Truly awesome vid Hector on many levels. I love the Cameron dancing vs. kicking ass contrast, very clever. I think TSCC could save a lot of money by just outsourcing all their marketing to fans.

@VSS Except for an anticipated season opener, fingers crossed for a more well rounded season 3. After using many classical elements from T1 and TW it’s going to be interesting to see what liberties can be taken and what classical elements will be kept in season 3.
There are so many excellent way this season can go, but also so many ways to tick fans off. If Johns timeline in season 3 could feel an ounce like the episode “Dungeons & dragons” then they would be doing something right. I just hope it is feasable from a production perspective to keep John in the future for a while.

I agree about the ‘need’ to try to capture and hold that tone of D&D for as much as they can afford to muster.
If they write John and Allison/Cameron into a brick wall in season three, they can always go back in time and rewrite history. It’s tons better than erasing a season by waking up from a dream because it doesn’t erase anything, it just overwrites it.

Correction from my previous post: After using many classical elements from T1 and T2 (Wrote TW by mistake) it’s going to be interesting to see what liberties can be taken and what classical elements will be kept in season 3.
Also I’m interesting where they take Sarah’s storyline. Dyson’s son will definitely be in there somewhere (he should be in his late teens by now). I just hope they don’t go for the expected route and brings back his father or something. I saw that coming as soon as a picture with that actor on one of John Henry’s computer screens at the end of the season.
I think Sarah’s storyline can be more risky because it has to compete with John perhaps more engaging storyline (come on fans have always wanted more stories set in the future!) - if he stays in the future. Hope they can introduce some new characters to take the place of Jesse, Charlie and Riley. The revelations of human Skynet operatives could leave the possibility for some really good badguys - and why not a machine who could rival Cromartie?
Methinks we need some CNNational exposure here, folks. Maybe we should be mailing pancakes to FOX and Warner Brothers?

Just wrote my very own:
I’ve got to say that Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles in possibly the best show FOX has ever taken a chancve on. Hopefully, they’ll smell the $$$ and give this show the timeslot and audience it deserves to thrive. Sending it to a Friday night grave, err…timeslot, was a ridiculous choice of some programmer in FOX’s dungeon, err…at FOX studios. The final 4 episodes this season were UNBELIEVABLE. Watched at one sitting(on DVD or Blu-Ray in my particular case) this show plays out like a realistic, stress-you-out, docudrama (albeit with time-travel and sentient killing machines)! This show should be paired next to another ‘thinking person’s’ show like Fringe. Come on FOX - give this show the time to mature. Just like a fine-wine, TSCC has the potential to become FOX’s signature dramatic piece. The actors are top-notch, the writing and production staff are truly artists and craftsmen. Let’s see what they can do with the story, now that they’ve left us hanging from a cliff! This could be your very own Battlestar Galactica, FOX. So say we all!

The voters say they want a dozen shows on our list back next season. At the other end of the spectrum, people don’t seem to care if “In the Motherhood,” “The Game” or “Worst Week” ever grace their TV screens again.
“Terminator” fans mobilized heavily to vote in their show’s poll. As of 2 p.m. ET Thursday, the show had racked up 26,553 votes — more than twice as many as any other show on the list — and 86 percent of them (22,711) say FOX should keep the modestly rated show (5.3 million viewers this season) on the air.
The other big winner in the poll was “Chuck,” which ended its second season on NBC Monday. It’s getting 80 percent support from the more than 11,000 people who have voted so far.
Other shows enjoying heavy support include “Castle” (69 percent yes), “Dollhouse” (64 percent), “Life” (62 percent) and “Samantha Who?” (60 percent).
ABC’s “In the Motherhood” and The CW’s “The Game,” on the other hand, are getting next to no love. Close to 90 percent of the people voting on those two shows have said to kill them. The results aren’t much better for CBS’ “Worst Week,” which is only getting 16 percent support.

I am totally on edge. Not just with the season finally of T-SSC which was OMG amazing, but with weather or not Fox will renew the show. I Voted for it on Save the show but i dont know what else I can do to make Fox see that this show needs to stay.

We still need a contingency plan. If we lose, Wiki will go down to. We have to have another place that we will go to stay organized. Rather that be a pre-existing site or if we need to come up with one.
We need to brainstorm about defeat and what we are going to do to win, if Judgement Day comes early.

I would like to say for the record that killing of Riley was a huge mistake.
Riley was awesome and I can’t blame John for like her better then Cameron.

whatever happens there always will be a place to reflect on the ‘what now’ question. It is likely that the blog here, in the case of a termination of the show, will be the first entity to go. I’d guess that the wiki could endure a little while, would it be just because there are DVDs to sell even after May 18th.
Otherwise there are plenty of other fan sites. The only one I visit is the Sarah Connor Society which has been of so much service, quite complementary to the official T:SCC website and Wiki.
Yet, we’re really not there. I’ve watched ‘The Broken’ yesterday evening which stars Lena. Once I got over her naturally British accent this very simple film that rely only on good craftsmanship and an acting is quite delightful… for whomever like fantastic and thrills.

Wouldn’t it be fun to ridicule the Ausiello everytime he has anything to say remotely close to T:TSCC. I don’t know if it disturbing or just fair to go after professional journalist who write about stuff they seem to know little about.
Maybe he just gets off by it and continue to bash the show and get more attention saying that “crazy fans with no life who just sits in their mothers basement”. (=The I-still-don’t-live-in-my-parent’s-basement-defense. Very simple yet very low. Media people have used it before to cover their own stupidity.)

Congratulations to our 2009 Save One Show winner, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles!
In case you don’t know, Save One Show is E!’s annual opportunity for fans to determine which TV series in danger of cancellation most needs to be saved. Past winners have included Angel, One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars. This year, in true killer-cyborg fashion, Terminator kicked ass, with 53 percent of the final round vote. Chuck was the runnerup with 25 percent (#savechuck), followed by Dollhouse with 10 percent, Life with eight percent and Privileged with four percent.
What about Lost Causes We Love? With 34 percent of the vote, Kyle XY was the winner of our first-ever Lost Causes We Love competition to determine which totally-canceled show should be rescued from oblivion. Our dearly departed Pushing Daisies was runner-up with 21 percent.
When the results of your 300,000 votes came in, we called up Terminator showrunner and executive producer Josh Friedman with the good news and he told exclusively, “I think I speak for everybody who works on the show when I say thank you to the fans for their tireless work to save our show. I think it really goes to show that there’s a really hard-core, emotional, passionate fanbase for Terminator that is larger and more widespread than people give us credit for.”

TERMINATOR TALKS EXCLUSIVELY TO E!
The Word from On High: So, what’s the latest word from Fox on the future of the show? Josh Friedman, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles show runner and executive producer, tell us that the latest news from the network is this: “They have given me no signs in either direction. I actually haven’t spoken with Fox in weeks. They said they’re going to make all their decisions when they get the pilots in, and I don’t think they have any of their pilots in yet. Things are just starting to come in from the other shows.”
Never Give Up, Never Give in: Do definitely hang in there, fans, because Josh believes there is every hope that the show will get picked up. As he tells us about Fox’s executives and programming bosses (aka the powers that be), “They’re all people, too, and they hear what goes on [with stuff like Save One Show]. I don’t think it’s a futile effort at all for people to continue to fight for the show.”
The Drop-Dead Date: So, when will we know for sure? Says Josh, “My experience with them in the past is they make their decision on the day that they have to make their decision and not a day before that.” And that day? That’s May 18, the day of the Fox upfront, so mark your calendars, Terminator fans! We’ll be in New York that day to get the word live at the Fox upfront, so check back at E! Online early and often for the latest updates on Terminator’s fate!
As the Man Said: “Fame. Ain’t It a Bitch?” In the meantime, don’t get bogged down in the to-and-fro reports in the media about Terminator’s fate. Josh likens the experience of being a show runner with an endangered series who finds himself constantly reading reports about his own future and fate in the press, as being somewhat similiar to living life as a Brangelina, Zanessa or Robsten (who are real people, believe it or not): “I think it must be what it’s like if you were a celebrity couple. You read stuff, some of it may be true, some of it is definitely false, and you could spend time chasing down every jackass opinion and lie, but it would really take a lot of time.”

The Future You’re Fighting For: If and when season three does get a green light, Fox already has a sense of what they’re getting. Josh says, “I haven’t pitched a season three yet, but near the end of season two I had a conversation with the network about season three just because they needed to understand the radical change in direction we had gone in the finale. So they’ve know for a while some of my ideas for season three.”
Other Venues? And what if season three doesn’t happen? Could it go to another network? Says Josh, “It’s not an expensive show, it’s very average in terms of its costs, but it’s more expensive than all cable shows. There are limited places for a show like this, I think.” What about a comic? Josh says, “Everyone wants to plan for success and hope that it works out that way, and then if it doesn’t, we’ll see what happens.”
Shhh…It’s a Secret: Either way, there will be no spilling of secrets about Terminator’s third season…yet. “I think that the finale speaks for itself. I think it’s very clear what season three is from watching the finale,” says Josh. (He’s kidding. I think.)
Still, it’s going to be radio-silence on storylines from Team Terminator for the foreseeable future. Says Josh, “I just sent an email out to all the other writers, and I said that, probably, in the weeks ahead, many people will ask you either online or in interviews to talk about season three or ‘Can you explain certain things from the season two finale?’ I asked all the writers to just cordially not. I kind of feel like if we have a season three, people will see it, and if we don’t have a season three, I like people using their own imagination to see where it goes. And if we don’t have it, for me to kind of put my foot down—this is what this is and this is what that is—shuts down everyone else’s imagination. I think in a situation like this it’s nice to let people kind of create their own fanfiction going forward.”

Great news. If there is any show that is worth saving it is definitely this one.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have great diverse writing, with smart direction in the show’s season story arc. The writers are brave enough to delve deeper on the effects of war, and the conflicted minds of the characters aware of the impending end of the world.
It’s emotional yet subtle. It’s sometimes even funny yet the show is permeated by thick tension. It’s sad and dark yet it resonates a small glimmer of hope that while people will die there is hope that humanity will prevail.
Mixed together this is a refreshing alternative to other scripted dramas out there. It’s even better than the sources it derives from. That’s why this particular show should be saved.
So hang in there. No fate.

It’s sad that a tense, intellectually-driven drama such as TSCC, seems to ‘confuse and overwhelm’ so may American viewers. I understand an occasional guilty-pleasure that you can watch while shutting down your brain, but come ON folks. Complaining because we don’t want to do so is just plain repugnant(look it up).
