the plan.

Good morning Chroniclers, hope you’ve all survived your post-finale mind explosion. Just wanted to drop by with a little note to talk about the future of this here blog: we will continue to update with posts fairly regularly for the rest of the week, giving you unexpected exclusives and special goodies for your continued support of our little robot baby, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

After this week we will likely take a (mostly) hiatus for a bit until we know anything more about our future — updating only with pressing information about DVD sets, news of a potential season three (four, and five), and highlights of where else you can find our cast/crew, etc. Oh! A few of us have joined the ranks of the tweeting twitterers (@hadleyk), so feel free to find us on there! Use your best John Henry skills…

I have no plans to address the story/plot/mysteries of the finale, Born to Run — we’ll leave that to you and your imagination. Thanks again for all of your ongoing support!

  1. First….

I’m gonna miss the teasers through out the week…

  2. invisiblepenguin

On the contrary, my mind is still exploding.

  3. So long hadley, and thanks for all the fish.

    :-)

  4. Thanks Hadley for keeping us all in the loop. You couldn’t be more right about the mind explosion caused by the finale. i barely slept Friday night and still can’t get over how awesome and unexpected the last epsisode for S2 was! Keep up the good work and to the entire T:SCC writers staff and crew, NEVER STOP FEELING THE LOVE!

WE LOVE YOU GUYS NO MATTER WHAT GOES DOWN.

You’ve given us a show we won’t soon be able to forget!

  5. Jordan Serpentini

I love this show! And the cast. Everyone vote at all the polls that have anything to do with TSCC. We have to win them all so we can get a well deserved third season!!

    Peace.

  6. @ Ignorabimus

    Hitchhikers Guide, love the quote!!

  7. Heck Hadley, we were hoping you would clear up a few of the mysteries for us!

Thanks for all your work here.

If it helps to make requests, please ask Josh to put as much extra material on the season 2 DVD as possible for us! Hopefully lots of commentaries by Josh, cast, directors, anybody who wants to contribute! You know we can’t get enough of this show.

    Thanks again.

  8. I hope John brought his towel into the future. Never know when you might need one!

  9. hy hadley,
    thanx for the news.

We will do our best ! For supporting the show and let know out there that TSCC is waited by huge fans .

Now preparing my mail to Fox and WB.

i’m pleased about the next updates fot Dvds and cast appareance!
i already miss my weekly attend for friday. But hopin well for the future !!

    See you soon 1

  10. Still picking up the pieces of my brain after the finale… But it’s nice to see one more week of goodies. I’ll be checking the blog regularly!

  11. After that season finale FOX has to renew the show. I need to know what happens next!

  12. Thanks for everything and for keeipng the blog up. Can’t wait to here the good news of a season 3!!!! Everyone, keep doing all you can!!

  13. Man… the winter break was tough when you went dark for only a month. You’ve written so much on the wall (not so much in the blood — thanks for that) that there should be much to muse about. As Sarah went out on her own quest to connect the dots, I’ll be stationed at my blog doing the same (as I did during the winter). With any luck, I won’t find myself handcuffed in the back of a van. (no promises).

Look forward to seeing new posts sometime in June when you all are back to work writing third season scripts.

  14. This series is amazing. It would be a sham not to bring it back as all the rumors are saying…The finale was FAntastic and yes..MIND BLOWING!!! Bring it back next session and help fill in the blanks of Ms. Weaver and Great job bringing back Reese…

  15. Woot! an update! I’ve been checking and rechecking this blog ever since i woke up at 9am.

Thanks for all your blog updates. I hope they keep coming (esp about FUTURE EPISODES) even after this week’s end. :)

    Happy Easter Monday! :D

  16. rather, ‘hear’ the good news of a season 3!! damn typo.
If anybody has some creative ideas of anything we can do to show TSCC our support or show FOX how much we care for this show, please share them. We should all buy (or re-buy) season 1 on Amazon.com on a certain day to crank the sales of the DVD up. Just a thought.

  17. Hey Hadley,

Thanks for asking: many friends here and I are not 100% but we are experts at self repair.
With all that coming, it should be a nice week then. :)
Notice though that we are doing much more than providing support here: we are fertilizing the ground on which future T:SCC will grow by (hear the music, see the sun rise…)deepening our knowledge of its universe, opening our minds to new possibilities, leaving free reins to our imaginations… and (silence and darkness) recycling all that rating BS that keeps raining.

While you’re all hiatated, please put the best stuff you can on the DVDs, lots of Lena and Summer and Shirley for us and some Thomas and BAG and RTJ for the ladies, if there’s some space left… Making great DVDs that will sell to huge numbers and need re-printing can only help you for that season 6 that you seem not sure to get yet.

(I make a pause here to imagine Summer tweeting… What did I tell you guys, hum?)

I don’t know… if you leave us alone to tie up the dangling-a-ling stuff, our imaginations can become so extreme that…

If you ever come around with any mean of keeping T:SCC alive that we haven’t found yet then let us know, no matter how off the wall or devious it may be: we’ll refine it into pure nuclear fusion force.

Thank you sir for the good job you’ve done for this blog.

  18. I just want to say I’ll not only miss this show, but the awesome production staff, story tellers, and the amazing actors & actress’s that make this show what it is. Nothing short of absolute awesomeness! I pray we get to enjoy you all 3rd season and more going forward. I send you all my love!

  19. Thanks hadley for all the things you’ve posted here! I hope we’ll be hearing from you soon about the details for season 3 :D

@JB: Jericho fans sent nuts. We could send dead pigeons. Although that might deliver the wrong message =)

  20. Hadley, thanks. =)

  21. Everything suddenly seems so final. I hope for a season 3, but if we don’t get one, thanks for 2 great years.

  22. remember guys..

    askfox@fox.com

    Scott.Rowe@Warnerbros.com

    SEASON 3!!

  23. Has anyone found any of the tweeters?

    https://twitter.com/summer_glau

Found this but i suspect it is someone else.

  24. Say moo for SCC on moo-ray in 1080p goodness with outtakes and special videos of Summer for us scifi perverts.

    moo for moo ray!

  25. I think I’ve read every T:SCC fanfiction ever published… this is going to be a long wait for May 18th

    I love you Summer!

  26. Dear Hadley,

thank you very much for your great support!

    Waiting for Season 3….

  27. Hadley,

Is there any chance to meet Summer/Thomas/Lena/Garret here? Talk with them or any little post that they appreciate their fans efforts? IMO if they hearten us, if we can read some comment from them, anything from them we can go in rage for them and there won’t be any opportunity wich we won’t do for watch more TSCC.

Can you contact with our favourites about this? I think others will be happy too.

    Thanks a lot.
Alastor (a huge fan from Hungary)

  28. Hadley, thanks for keeping us all updated as always! What MJ said, we fans love the cast/crew no matter what goes down and are still supporting you for a season three!

And now that I’m done with taxes, I’m going to write my letters to FOX and WB. I may procrastinate when it comes to the IRS but never for SCC! ;)

  29. “updating only with pressing information about DVD sets, news of a potential season three (four, and five),”

    WTF???

I can’t read. Just I see: season three, season three, season three… Maybe I’m sick. :P

  30. Hadley,

Many thanks for all your hard work on this blog and feeding us cool little tidbits about the production of TSCC and endlessly teasing us with clips of future episodes.

We really appreciate all the you guys have done for the fans!

Here’s to future updates and future seasons.

  31. Praying to John Henry for a season 3…

  32. (The another)FANfromHUN

    “…CORRECT!”
    ;-)

    Hadley,

Thank you for so correctly informing us about what to expect, and all your job done here on this blog.

I’d like to stand in with Alastor’s question above, and be so kind to forward our high appreciation and sympathy to the crew, sent from the other side of the planet.

You gave us real quality entertainment.

    Best rgds

  33. Reminder to other fans to consider buying the season on iTunes. I know a DVD set would be better, but that won’t come out till September, way too late to have an impact.

On the offchance we get season 3, I have only one real criticism of the show that needs addressing: so far, whenever our characters need to infiltrate someplace (funeral, alien convention, nuclear power plant) it seems to go a bit too easy for them. The few times when I actually had to strain disbelief in this show occurred during those episodes.

  34. Yes, this blog was quite a connection for the fans, Hadley. With writers popping in on several occasions, Leven stopping by, Thomas answering a question, and even Josh himself. And all the clips and info you gave us.

All of you made it a lot of fun for us. Much appreciated.

  35. Thanks for your hard work bringing us this blog. Hope we’ll be hearing positive news regarding future episodes and season 3. Gotta to say that regardless of what the future brings, I’ve adored the production from the cast and crew of Sarah Connor Chronicles. Thanks very much for keeping us in the loop. from a Canadian fan. ;3

  36. Hadley, Thank you. We’ve really enjoyed this forum.

  37. Thanks for your hard work and for patience. You and all the cast did your best, thanks again. Now this is our turn. We have to do our best to save our loved show.

    Greetings from Hungary.

    p.s. Twitter: I will find you :-)

  38. A fun ride (except with a few bumps in season two).

It’s a shame that the blog will fade away and you cannot comment on inconsistencies.

    1) Dates, it’s been 8 years, no 10 years, no wait, 8 years again since they jumped.
    2) A busted up Cromartie head goes through time, Cameron’s busted up endo does not.
    3) Cameron’s eyes were the wrong color. How can you miss that?

Ah oh well… good luck in your future endeavors.

  39. Thank you so very much(again) Hadley! I will keep visiting my third home here for updates and info as the summer progresses. Yes, I am still voting at EOnline everyone. Are you?

Please let us know what else we can do, and who else we can contact to make our collective presence known and HEARD.

    NO FATE -

  40. Thank you Hadley, you da man. Great blog, it was fun and near the season’s end I was probably spending more time here than the show per week. It really added to the show.

  41. I survived the explosion but I think my chip’s been damaged. I keep getting this message… “In case of cancelation, terminate all responsible”.

  42. Thank you, Hadley for all your hard work here! I’ll look forward to the updates!

  43. Thanks for the update Hadley, were all working hard for TSCC. We’ll try and get the show back. Any message from the blog and and support you give us really keeps our spirits up. We won’t go down without a fight!!!

  44. Thanks for all the hard work, Hadley!

I don’t know if this is at all possible, but it would be a great idea to keep posting about the Save One Show campaign at regular intervals until the close-date (and especially in the last few days), just to make sure fans keep up the voting momentum.

  45. Utterly phenomenal show. I have really enjoyed this blog as well. Thank all of you who worked on it. You are an absolutely amazingly talented group of people. I plan on writing some emails and letters to try and save the best show on network television in years.

    Season Three I Hereby Decree

  46. Hadley,
If I send you my, “I Survived Judgement Day” T-shirt, can you get Shirley to autograph it for me?

  47. Thanks for the 2 great seasons!
You know we love to see seasons 3-5.

Damn im not rich enough to buy this series for a pound like ross brown bought his Formula 1 team and now have won 2 1st races.

  48. Thanks for all the info and I know we will get a season 3 I’m sure of it :0

  49. @sNaKeBiTe We could send them empty bullet casings, but the Postal Service may get a bit pissed off at us.

@Hadley Thanks for all the blog work. It’s the first show (and only so far) blog I’ve followed, and it helped keep me excited for the show each week. All of us look forward to hearing more info about the Season 2 DVD/Bluray and next season.

  50. Another tid bit, I was able to find Leven Rambin on twitter, but that’s it so far. I’m no John Henry…

  51. Thanks, Hadley. :)

[My captcha of the day: "accepted puritan" - LOL!] :P

  52. I sure hope this makes it at least one more year so you can at least end it properly. Love the show great work guys

  53. Actually Hadley, I don’t want to leave it up to my imagination! Please get Josh on the phone, tell him to call up all the crew/ cast/ and writers to come out to work ASAP and get started on Season 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =P

On a more serious note, thanks for keeping us in the loop.
    Please keep posting….REGULARLY !!! ;-)

  54. The S2 finale was the best of the series. I will be deeply saddened and disappointed if TSCC isn’t picked up for S3. At the very least, we need closure of the excellent cliffhanger! Fox, please don’t let it be a bittersweet series finale!

Best moment in the finale: John seeing what looks like Cameron in the future, but actually turns out to be Allison Young! I got serious chills realizing that. Kudos to Josh & Crew, as well as the wonderful cast for bringing TSCC together into one of the best shows on television - ratings be damned!

  55. That was an awesome season finale. It would really suck if TSCC didn’t come back to take this story as far as it could go. Great show guys.

  56. Although you say you won’t be back for a while, I know myself: I’m gonna end up still checking it every day. It’s just become second nature for me. That’s how compelling I find this part of the multi-billion dollar franchise. It has become more than just a part of the Terminator mythos. It has generated one of its own, with alternate timelines being introduced and not being one of those series where you know how every episode is going to end. As a matter of fact, it’s hard to guess how ANYTHING is going to go down on any given episode. I love this show, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. And never have I seen a more dedicated crew to their craft: which is entertainment; pure and simple (albeit sometimes depressing) entertainment.

I hope this isn’t your swan song Hadley; we all need to FIGHT for a season 3. Sarah Connor would expect nothing less of her dedicated fans.

Cameron: You wanna find stupid Fox reality show developers? You wanna STOP stupid Fox reality show developers? Stop running. Fight!

  57. seasons 3, 4 and 5… :D

  58. Hey Hadley. I just want to thank you, and everyone at Terminator and Co for being to supportive to us fans. I have never felt so close to an internet community like this one. I love all of my fellow Chroniclers, the cast, Lena, Thomas, Brian, Shirley, Summer, and Richard. No matter what happens in the future, you have created a work of art that many should value. I truly see you all as geniuses and artists. This show makes me happy. I never thought that I would be so obsessed over a TV show, but this is an exception. I hope that the news about a potential season 3, 4, and 5 says something about what you know Hadley. It needs more seasons, so I hope the execs see this. I believe that with the T4 movie coming out, that Sarah Connor will continue, because I predict that it will add to the hype and revival to the Terminator Franchise. I am a HUGE fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Narnia, Batman etc. I think that Terminator is on par with those epic franchises. I will be sad and left empty if Sarah Connor gets canceled and T4, T5, and T6 only goes on. It will feel incomplete to me (since I didn’t like T3). I am going to get all of my family to watch this series. I know they will love it. They just don’t realize how good it is. I think that is the problem. We all need to spread the word. May Sarah Connor live on!!! Love you Lena Headey, you are my favorite.

  59. Thank you, hadley and everyone else involved with TSCC. We’ll keep up the fight for the 3rd season!

  60. Hadley.

    Thank You.

  61. my god i hope you guys come back with 3rd season ive never kept up with a show this much! not even smallville and i love that show too!

i never miss an episode, so please come back. That finale was so mind blowing that i turned of the tv and just sat there in awe. i didnt want to move or be interrupted i mean who knew the “i love you too” words would seal the season on a show like that?!!? omg god! this show is so freaking amazing! please combat!

and like my usual routine i still check Friday nights to see if theres a new episode… Cant stop typing… -_-

well GL to cast and crew hope you guys come back much <3!

  62. It’s interesting how many people here say they have “never been so obsessive” about a show before….I feel like we are Trekies (sorry, Trekers) in the sixties trying to figure out how to save our show.

I’m still trying to find a concrete address so I can send REAL letters to Fox and not just emails. Does anyone have it?

There have been a lot of great ideas of how we can vote with our wallets and eyeballs to show Fox there is a market for TSCC This show is worth spending a few bucks on another copy of Season 1, or downloading on i-tunes….so let’s get to it!

I’ve got a megaphone and I’m prepared to buy some fresh batteries if we need to hit the streets!

  63. Sorry for the lack of details: just follow the link to find the addresses of the WB and FOX.

  64. Thanks Innocent –

Your site looks like a great resource — I look forward to checking it out and getting those addresses!

  65. That was a funny commercial on the finale, 2mil people are twittering on twitter, 26% watching have no idea what that means, they better not have made that percentage any higher.

  66. OMG i love this show cant wait for you guys to get a 3rd season ready!!!!!!

  67. “Good morning Chroniclers, hope you’ve all survived your post-finale mind explosion.”
    ‘Chroniclers’…LOL!!! :)
My first thought was ‘Good morning Angel’s…’ Oh long night of voting and re-watching TSCC eps.
    Coffee…lots and lots of coffee!!!

Hadley, first of all thank you. This is the best blog around. I enjoy dropping by every day.
Hats off to the cast and crew. TSCC is the best show on television.
I can say you’ve turned me into a terminator fan. (Cameron and Jameron of course!) :)

I proudly wear the TSCC T-shirt…if I had a TSCC t-shirt. Hmmm must get merchandise. ;)

We will keep writing, emailing, posting, voting, sending comments to advertisers whatever it takes to get that well deserved season 3.

Bring on the season 2 DVD set asap…I don’t think my tapes will last much longer!!! Just make sure you pack the DVD’s full of extras!!!

“news of a potential season three (four, and five)”
    *Fingers crossed!!*
I really hope that’s the case. This show needs to go on and on and on!!!
If we get that season 3 I’m popping open thet bottle of champagne I have in my refrigerator.

Last item but one must point out that TSCC won all 5 Ivy awards!!! :)
    http://blog.tviv.org/2009/04/02/2008-ivy-awards-4/

    TSCC-Best Drama Series
Brian Austin Green -Best Supporting Actor
    Summer Glau -Best Supporting Actress
    Lena Headey-Best Lead Actress
Allison from Palmdale -Best Individual Episode

    Come on season 3!!! :)

  68. I just want to say that the season finale was the most exciting season finale I have ever seen. Hear that? Season finale, not series finale! I have to admit that I joined the Terminator: TSCC bandwagon a little late, but quickly caught up (day and night) in time for every ep. that lead up to last Friday. Brilliant.

This is an interesting place, this website and blog here, where the Terminator community can get together and discuss everything from time travel and cybernetics to character development and theories on the unknown. It’s refreshing to know that there’s still more to TV than mindless TV and I’m proud to be part of the resistance. It’s just as refreshing to see this community come together with strength in numbers to support that in which we believe in. Thank goodness for technology… for now, that is.

Major props EVERYONE who had a hand in the design and content! I hope to read about more awesome things in the near and far future.

  69. Best of luck! Thanks all for amazing television.

  70. I just want to know one thing - is this a break before the next new episode or is FOX once again just dropping a great show and leaving us [the viewers] flapping in the wind. I have to say that this episode has all the hallmarks of a “oops, we’ve been cancelled so let’s try to quickly draw the series to an end” sort of thing and I’m hoping that isn’t the case. I guess if this post dissappears I’ll have my answer - and if that sounds like a cynical remark, just check the track record on SF shows on FOX and how many of them die sudden deaths, sometimes without even a full season.

Please prove me wrong because I’m at a point where I’m wondering if it is worth bothering to watch FOX because a series that just suddenly dies might not really be worth investing the time in the first place. I’m loving this series and now I’m wondering if maybe I shouldn’t have started watching it because if this turns out to be the end [like it looks] then it means I would have been better not knowing how good it was.

  71. I…I think I fell for the story and the characters somewhere along the line…it has always amused me how we can get affected by invisible things.

  72. Hey i was thinking, Jameron fans could sent cookies and antis could said pancake mix, maybe Fox would get the picture. lol sorry couldn’t myself!

  73. The finale was outstanding, well done to all involved in T:SCC!

As for getting season 3, we have just days/weeks to persuade Fox not to do a Futurama, and cancel the show. I have written the letter below to Fox at askfox@fox.com, I also suggest people write to critics or post on their reviews, as the critics tend to struggle with a show that is this intellectually challenging. Also visit the T:SCC website often (make it your homepage!), as web stats are analysed too.

Remember one person writing to Fox to demand a renewal is worth several thousand people counted on the ratings.

“Because of my work I hardly get to watch any TV let alone movies, the only TV that I make a point of watching whenever it is on is Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles (Futurama was the only other one). For me the program represents some of the best entertainment ever produced because between the explosions and the shooting there is quite a deep plot line and the acting is outstanding, therefore letting it drop would be a travesty. I have absolutely no interest in watching the other drivel that is put out by TV networks these days. If advertisers want me to view their products (and my disposable income is significant) then they had better make sure this program continues.”

  74. @ Kirk and all:

    “Thanks Innocent –

Your site looks like a great resource — I look forward to checking it out and getting those addresses!”

Of course, but you probably already know it, yet, just to make things clear, the site isn’t mine but Kate’s and Erika’s. Click on the ‘About’ link at the top to learn more.

    J.

  75. Thanks headley, for your support !

    and warm up, season 3 (4 & 5…) is near ;-)

  76. Thanks for moderating a great site! Love coming here to catch the latest news and the previews. We’ll keep fighting the good fight and keep the Resistance going! Kudos to you Hadley and all the wonderful people who comprise this wonderful show!

  77. Wait will we ever know what’s gonna happen?
If we don’t get another season will someone please tell us some plot they had planned.
    Anything?

  78. Chris B:

Great letter to Fox…like I said a bit earlier — try to also send it in as a real letter.

I think those are even more powerful than emails.

Check out Innocents post above for the link to the address.

I’m going to poke around today and see who is the best actual executive to send it to…

I think a personal letter, like you above Brian to the person in charge of programming will have a big effect.

Like everyone, I am a busy guy — but I think all the fans need to take the time to vote with your wallet and drop real tangible letters to Fox.

I was thinking about the Jericho fans today — sending nuts was clever…but we are talking about a TV show related to one of the BIG SUMMER movies coming out in MAY. So I think we need to keep up our work, but I think SALVATION is the 800 pound gorilla in our corner.

  79. “Wait will we ever know what’s gonna happen?
If we don’t get another season will someone please tell us some plot they had planned.
    Anything?”

Last I heard, josh doesn’t even know himself. this was at wondercon, which I believe they had already wrote and filmed the finale, but were still finishing post. when asked about season 3 he said something like “I dont even know what I would do with a season 3. I dont have an overall plan for the series”.

  80. Thanks for a great website.

The writers for this show deserve an award. PLEASE BRING BACK SCC.

    WE NEED SEASON 3.

I put it in several languages so that all they can read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  83. in that of a friend making force so that it follows terminator it is here buenisima that series semira for internet jajajajaja but the same one we look at it for WB but you go but good same abanzados conforms to because we are Argentinean jejejejeje although here they give them to those 12: 30 very late

  84. Please don’t shoot me:

    http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/scoop-fox-set-t.html?cnn=yes

    Sadly, RCN says: absolute Business

And ultimately, isn’t that what ultimately decides a quality TV show’s fate?

  85. The show just kept getting better and better and deserves to see it through. I guarantee the amazing season finale will reel us all in again next year.

  86. Wolfie, even if that’s true things can change in the next few weeks, and there is still the hope that WB can put it on another network. After all the numbers are pretty good DVR wise. Just keep voting on http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b107874_save_one_show_help_your_fave_see.html and writing letters and we’ll see what happens. If we give up, we’ve already lost.

  87. I’m not giving up. I’m just disappointed that I saw the piece so soon.

  88. Wouldn’t it be weird if this was an elaborate trick, where the Terminator series is going to continue, just not be called “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”. Just saying that it would explain the off the cuff doom and gloominess regarding this shows future.

  89. Good point! The other possibility is that they’re really looking at the alternative viewers out there who are downloading and streaming via the internet still.

  90. I wish Fox would stop stringing us along. The only thing that matters is live viewing, from the Nielsen Research Group. DVR numbers mean absolutely nothing because commercials are skipped.

Just waiting a couple weeks to pretend they’re waiting for DVR statistics isn’t fooling anyone, they made the decision.

  91. If fox had made a decision not to renew this show they would have announced it, so they are still thinking about it, they may want to see how prison break does in that same timeslot, and how dollhouse finishes, and how well the movie T-4 does.
I think we may have to wait until after T-4 hits theatres to find out this shows fate.
the longer the wait the better our chances are.

yeah hadley why the red eye ?? some fan already changed it to blue and put it up on you tube and it looks good !!

  92. They can still profit EASILY by exploiting the buzz around the movie, the cancellation rumors and the cliffhanger season finale to make another half a season, wrap up the show, and make money on DVD/blu ray sales and whatever viewership they get. They’ll also avoid a lot of fan backlash. AT THE VERY LEAST A TWO HOUR MOVIE EVENT to wrap things up. Even that will bring them DVD sales.

  93. @CHAD

Watching via HULU and FOX on-demand prevents the viewer from bypassing commercials though. Watch and watch often. Contact the sponsor and tell them where you saw their product ad.

    http://www.savethescc.com/advertisers.html

  94. I have heard some disturbing rumors about cancellation. If this show cancels, you should cancel those that made the decision. LOOK AGAIN, all around the internet….this show has a TRUE fan base. I not sure what you expected in the way of ratings by puting a show on a Friday night….check your target demographics and see how many are likely home at that time. Better yet, check DVR numbers. Seriously…this show has better content and drama than 24 at this point. If it really is cancelled……..good luck trying to replace it.

P.S. Hope you’re not counting on “Dollhouse”.

  95. good read if you haven’t already:

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=20811

  96. Please do not cancel the show!!!!!!!

  97. Unfortunately news from Ausiello @ EW, CNN and other reports today seems to be confirming no Season 3 folks. What a waste of potential. The show was awesome, well written, well acted, fantastic plot twists you couldnt see coming and I actually enjoyed it more than the films. Why do the networks never give a show chance to grow and find its feet, instead cancelling fantastic programmes like this and putting all their money into dreadful ‘reality’ shows? Then again, does that say more about the people watching TV than it does about the network? Shame….I’ll miss the TSCC team, actors, writers & producers - you rock! Its been a pleasure. Thanks guys and good luck to all of you. Hasta la Vista..

  98. i love cameron..

  99. human being like you

Twitter quotes about the Ausiello scoop:

from Ashley Edward Miller (TSCC screenwriter):
“Time for Ausiello’s semi-annual SCC termination report. False again. (Remember “sets were destroyed” report? Now you know context, people).”

    and from Josh Friedman himself:
“Waiting for Michael Åusiello to tell me what I’m supposed to do now with my career.”

I’d say we will still have to wait until 18th of May or whatever it was to know..

  100. Instead of saying your goodbye’s, you people need to keep voting and e-maling and buying season 1 on DVD. We have to keep up the pressure and make it inconvenient and risky for FOX to cancel the show. There is no alternative. FOX doesn’t care about our wishes but they do care about their reputation.

  101. Constantine Bleys
  102. Nothing is done, we still have hope, don’t give up! Fox didn’t say any words about cancel the show, while they won’t yell it i won’t belive in any interview about the end.

  103. Rather go and see Summer’s fantastic photos, as we know she is really beautiful :)

  104. Quote: and from Josh Friedman himself:
“Waiting for Michael Åusiello to tell me what I’m supposed to do now with my career.”

    Now, THAT’S frakkin’ funny

  105. I agree with Brian — we need to keep up the support.

I just mailed off letters today to the list I got from this site: http://www.savethescc.com/index.html

I ENCOURAGE everyone to do this. REAL LETTERS have a lot of weight. Tell them who you are and how how you watch the show.

Keep watching Hulu and if you haven’t already, buy the DVD and episode off i-tunes.

Times are tough, we can’t send the cast and crew to the unemployment line :)

  106. Nice way for Josh of saying F-you to Michael Åusiello.

It would be nice if other new network who ran with that story also got a comment from T:TSCC staff instead of the usual Fox “Wait ’til 18th of may until we reveal”-statement. Josh’s honest Twitter comment would definitely win some support. :)

Again nice to hear that that nothing has really been confirmed about the fate of the show.

  107. so,the story/plot/and mysteries are being left to MY imagination???!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

“here, buy my book.it’s great, but i’m going to rip out random pages and you can just imagine what was written on those pages”

thanks a whole lot for a bunch of NOTHING,assholes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  108. Chris,
They obviously aren’t going to tie up everything for you in a nice package so you can have full plot understanding when there is a possibility of a third season. I’m sure if the series gets cancelled you can get some kind of clif-notes version or mayber “TSCC for Dummie named Chris”

  109. Thank you to the writers, all of the crew, the directors, and especially the actors for embodying characters that we’ve come to love so much! I’ll be hysterical with happiness if the show gets another 13 episodes, let alone a full 22 episode season. as for a season 4 and 5… why must you get my hopes up so high??? ;)

  110. Just want to add my praise of the finale and the season as a whole — hoping for another season, and many more after that.

  111. I wish I could say that news of a cancellation was a surprize but it seems that FOX exec think that by always cancelling shows and putting on new ones which will then be quickly cancelled that somehow this is good business. It isn’t. Why should anyone bother to invest time and interest into a story that will never get finished - watching shows on FOX has been like buying brillient books and finding that the publishers decided to only print half the story. That might have been ok in the past when shows were a string of independent self-contained stories which stood alone which no arc story being told, but these days, good shows have a long term plot - a goal that is unfolding [I know the writers often don't have that arc-plot fully planned but it is there in the writing non-the-less] Now having a series that is only 2 seasons long, while isappointing, is fine IF that was always the intent in the writing so that the writers will pull it all together by the end of the second season. Do we have that? No!

We have suddenly the whole story-line that was unfolding has been dropped in the final episode and we have leaped off somewhere else with a lot of potential but none of it will be written so what was the point? This could have been great if the story was going to continue and we would see how it all fits together, etc, etc, but if that was the final story then it brings together nothing and just throws a bunch more questions and loose ends in before abandoning us - the viewers … that would be the people who ultimately pay the bills because the money comes from advertizers who buy space because they believe WE are watching. Well, why SHOULD we watch a network that is going to build us up and then drop us?

I’m sorry, but FOX seems to have a real habit of starting excellent series and then killing them any time from mid-first season to, if we are lucky, the end of the second season. If the story is just going to really get going and then the show is killed then it’s like getting half a novel and you will never get to see the rest. I for one have had enough - I’m not going to bother to look at new shows on FOX any more and once they have cancelled the ones I am watching, I’ll stick with networks that can be trusted.

  112. THANK YOU @tim.
jared, there was NEVER going to be a third season.
if i’m such a “dummie” then why dont you supply us with the answers to all the loose ends and unresolved sub-plots that we were left holding.
clear everything up for us,we are just too empty headed to follow any kind of complicated storyline.
lets do it,point by point.where do you want to start?

  113. @ chris:

this is me ignoring you. I thought that you might not notice otherwise.

  114. well, yeah i wouldnt otherwise have noticed seeing as how I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THE HELL YOU ARE AND AM NOT HAVING A CONVERSATION WITH YOU!!!!!

  115. Constantine Bleys

    @chris

By participating in the submission of comments to this public blog you loose the god given right to pick and choose who replies to what you say.

If you want to talk to tim, and only tim, then exchange e-mails or IM’s.

And if you want to talk only to people you know, then close your internet browser, step away from the computer, and talk to your mom.

Because, ya know, I would be surprised if you knew tim personally, the context that you words suggest that you know him in.

And, Chris, the fact that the writers didn’t wrap the show up, tie up loose ends, and pretend that it was a series finale was for the simple reason that it was NOT a series finale, rather a season finale. Big difference between the two. Sure, the show may be cancelled, but it has been in this predicament before, twice, and it has succeeded in being renewed. Why should the writers throw in the towel when there is still hope? Following the logic that you evidently support, if I ever find Myself on a hijacked plane I should sit and do nothing to change that. I should just give up, because there is a chance that I will fail. And, you know, better to accept failure when there is still hope than to try and work hard to realize that hope. (please note the heavy sarcasm)

Now, chris, wouldn’t you enjoy watching a third season? I know I would, which is why I’m doing all that I can to assure that there will be one. Who knows, maybe they will answer all the questions you have in S3? Isn’t that worth it?

However, at the end of the day, you must step back and remember that it is just a tv show. A damn good one, one that I never want to see cancelled, and one that I will even fight for, but a tv show nonetheless. And, a tv show should not inspire such a infantile reaction in anyone *cough chris cough*

  116. ????????
if you read the exchange above a little more carefully you will see that my reply to innocent had less to do with that person jumping into the conversation without being invited,[as you seem to have gathered] than it does with me taking issue with innocent’s insinuation that we were already having a conversation for me to notice him/her ignoring.
the writers and producers of this show have kept a blog going the whole time as a means of directly involving their audience, keeping up to date and in the loop the fans of the show, and establishing a dialogue with the people they are telling their story to.they told us the things we needed to do to ensure the show continued and we did those things–watch it live, spread the word,ect.ect. all the while promising a payoff,a “come with me to the end,i promise it wont be a waste of your time”.
and while you may see it as “just another tv show”,some of us actually cared, invested our efforts, felt passionatly about it,so when all was said and done and we didnt get what we were promised and the whole thing DID turn out to be a waste of our time, the feeling of being betrayed by a close friend are quite genuine.as genuine as our love of the show.
do you honestly think the writers, producers, set people, camera guys, wardrobe, and actors feel that it’s “just a teevee show”???[eyeroll]

  117. this show is soo good i cant believe fox would hesitate to have a 3d season this is a show that needs it unlike prison break or lost where they should have ended after 2 seasons but they kept dragging the story out which made many people such as myself uninterested and no longer view. but TSCC i cant get enough of. im never home to watch it when it airs but i catch every episode on http://www.hulu.com fox should know ratings arent everything

  118. Constantine Bleys

I love this show. Don’t get Me wrong. I came onto it a little late, as in three week ago, but in the three weeks that I have loved this show I have watched all of Season One and Two, often staying up all night for the sole purpose of watching the show. Don’t question My adoration for this series, nor My determination to keep it up. The point that I made in the post that you Totaly misinterpreted was that the episode Born To Run was a Season Finale. Emphasis on Season. Not Series, Season. Season. S-E-A-S-O-N. The Season Finale. The point of a Season Finale is to, pretty much, end up as a cliffhanger, so that when the next season starts, people will have a reason to tune in. That reason being, the conclusion to the previous seasons season finale. Which gets to why I think it is absurd for you to be upset that the writers did not answer every question that has been brought up, and why they did that.

They have hope that the series will continue. Why should they give up now? The reason they did not answer all the questions that you complained about was for the exact reason you mention in the last sentence of you last message. They do not think it is just a tv show, they feel strongly about it, so strongly that they laid the foundations for Season Three right in front of your face last Friday in the Season Two Finale.

How have they betrayed you? I can’t fathom how you could think they betrayed you? They are doing their best to ensure the longevity of a great television series, and you accuse them of betraying the fanbase? That is criminal of you! They are working hard to give you another season, and you want them to just stop, you want them to effectively end the series by answering all the questions? If all the questions were answered, how would they hold onto their audience if the audience didn’t have quesitons bouncing around in their heads that they needed to be answered? The day We see an episode of TSCC that answers all the questions and doesn’t bring up any new ones will be the intended Series Finale, because that is what a Series Finale is supposed to do, answer all the questions, and wrap the series up.

And, now, in conclusion, let Me clarify something for you. In your first comment to this blog entry, you said:

    chris April 15th, 2009 at 12:19 pm

so,the story/plot/and mysteries are being left to MY imagination???!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

“here, buy my book.it’s great, but i’m going to rip out random pages and you can just imagine what was written on those pages”

thanks a whole lot for a bunch of NOTHING,assholes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You said this in response to what Hadley said in the last line of the blog entry, which goes…

“I have no plans to address the story/plot/mysteries of the finale, Born to Run — we’ll leave that to you and your imagination. Thanks again for all of your ongoing support!”

I know it’s hard to believe, but sometimes the first thing that comes into your head is not correct. Hadley did not mean that the story/plot/mysteries will never be answered, Hadley meant that he will not answer them for you, and you will just have to wait, like the rest of Us, for the Season Three Premiere to air and get the answers that way. The show will go on, the show must go on, and Chris, I think you are missing the point.

The point being that the show is not over. It may be cancelled, but the writers have no control over that. If it is cancelled, the show will meet its end at a time and place that the writers did not intend. The questions you have about the plot will be answered. You just have to wait until season three.

And, I’m sorry for the length of this post. I felt that the best way to let Chris know what was going on was through repetition.

Hope I got it through your head this time.

  119. Constantine Bleys

Oh, and you obviously did notice Innocent ignoring you, you posted a reply to his ignoring, lol.

And, you pulled a FOX. You picked some things I said and blew them out of proportion, while totally ignoring the context.

    gtfo.

  120. you are wrong about at least one thing–hadley did not say “we will leave that to you and your imaginations until season three starts up”,look again she said “we’ll leave that to you and your imaginations”.period.
and try paying attention before you jump in,i said i was pissed about not getting the answers to the open plotlines not because i simply want the answers to the questions i have and they didnt give them to me [i can live with a little mystery,i am a lost-a-holic after all],i said i’m pissed about not getting the answers because WE WERE DIRECTLY PROMISED THOSE ANSWERS BY THE SHOWS MAIN WRITER.

  121. oh,and those folks who actually have followed the show and various blogs have always known that this was going to be the end of it.
your insistance that this was nothing more than the SEASON finale just shows how little you know about whats going on here.

  122. Constantine Bleys

And you will get them, patience, wait for S3. That’s what I’m saying.

I am completely aware of what HE said. I copied and pasted, verbatim, what was written in the blog entry. Sure, HE didn’t say that the answers will be given in S3, but plain logic says that the answers raised in the Season Finale will be answered in the Season 3 premiere, or if not then, then somewhere in S3.

Also, take into account that they only had a one hour season finale. Many season finales are two hours in length. They probably intended to answer more questions, but they had to cut many scenes in order to fit the time allotted.

In any case, speculation of this sort is pointless. All We can do is show Our support for the show in the hopes that Our support will get a Season Three. So, how about instead of complaining about how you were betrayed you put that energy into writing to FOX asking for a third season, so that you many get the answers you seek, hmm?

  123. Constantine Bleys

Oh, and apparently BAG doesn’t agree with you, necessarily.

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=20811

Read it. Weep if you want.

FOX also is still deciding whether or not to cancel the show. I read somewhere in a comment or blog that they would take specifically the last four episodes of the season into account in their decision.

Also, and you, an avid reader of this blog, should know this, this series has faced cancellation twice before. At the beginning of S2, and halfway through S2. Was it canceled? I think the fact that We are talking about it on a FOX sponsored blog attests that it wasn’t.

  124. Constantine Bleys

Whether I believe it was a Series Finale is unimportant. What is important, however, is that I have hope, and the motivation to do all I can to make that hope a reality. Something you don’t have. Great way to show your support, your carving the headstone for the show before it’s even dead.

  125. because we already did not get those answers.
i’m not talking about anything that was brought up in the finale,i’m talking about all the things from the entire series as a whole that were left unanswered.
that we were told we WOULD be getting answered.
i put my energy into e-mailing each and every fox exec. on that list about how my remote control will simply never ever stop on the fox network again.ever.

  126. Constantine Bleys

Good, but again, they probably had to cut scenes to fit the finale into one hour. That’s probably why. I can, however, assure you that it wasn’t malicious, these are good people, and they are trying the best they can to keep the show, but sometimes, promises just can’t be kept. That’s life.

  127. true,true.
have you ever watched the shows dark angel, reunion,or invasion?
three shows that just got cut off mid-story,i’m sure there are others.
terminator may be the straw that broke the camels back, but how long do networks expect to keep fooling me into sticking my hand in the fire?
sad and painful but it just worked out that terminator was where i finally learned my lesson.

  128. Constantine Bleys

No, actually, I don’t watch much tv at all. I usually only watch C-SPAN and CNN, with a bit of Comedy Central thrown in every once in a while. And, I would say that I understand where you’re coming from, but since I don’t watch many shows I can’t, lol.

Well, I kinda can. There was this hookah cafe that I used to love, great people, great times, great shisha, but very few people attended. It was in danger of closing many many times, and I worked My ass off promoting it, donating to it, stuff like that. It’s still open (thankfully) but I do know what it’s like when people (or in this case, television networks) do stupid things. Well, not stupid things, because they actually have to be pretty smart, but do things that make you loose something interesting. Unfortunately, American entertainment has become the domain to stupid shows with stupid plotlines with great ratings. The good shows don’t last, because people don’t like to think. It’s very unfortunate.

But, at least We can try to change that. At least We can take solace in the fact that while We can’t move mountains individually, We can at least each pick up a stone.

    And stones add up.

  129. you make much sense.
i obviously went slightly overboard in my venting and name calling, but that’s how strongly i felt and since they gave us this place as the place to do it,this is where i did it.
my apologies to anyone who feels they are due.

  130. Constantine Bleys

We all loose Our cool sometimes, but I’m glad you cooled down, :)

  131. I hope to hear news of another season soon! This is a fantastic show, and the season finale was exceptional.

  132. FYI Amazon.com (the USA one) just set up the pre order button for the season 2 DVD set!!
