Is it just me or does it seem like sometimes the obvious ways to boost this show’s ratings are overlooked? Unfortunately we have a fantastically written, wonderfully well thought-out, dramatic show that can’t breakthru the threshold. Three things HAVE to happen: 1) Move the slot to a Tues/Weds/Thur night - few of the demographic this show appeals to is sitting at home on a Friday night - duh. 2) Less talk - more fighting. Maybe teach Cameron some Kung-fu. These shows have to have some mix up fighting - consistently. 3) More skin. The writers are clever enough to work this in in a less clumbsy way than it has been attempted. Lena and Summer are absolutely beautiful and their sex appeal is being SO downplayed. I know this isn’t popular but look at Knight Rider, Chuck, etc.. on NBC (now there’s an idea - NBC) and Star Trek Voyager when they added 7of9. Let’s see more of Lena and Summer - sorry but it is a crucial element for this type of show and demographic.

Cameron’s new side…mmh…hopin well that’s about something good, but i’m not sure, we have a lot of tracks about her glitch, malfunctionin’, questioning about suicide, malfunctioning…
we don’t know either about why she’s here with us…Sarah’s question was right : “Why are you here ?”. And i think will be painful discovering that.
Anyhow, she showed us that she’s a thinking machine; with brain, without an heart. For now. Will be place for anything like this, under that pretty lookin skin? Or something similar?
I think it’s gonna be a epic and dramatic ending. It will close Season 2 and a part of Tscc’s subplots. Main plot (skynet envelopment) will remain open, because it’s gonna be the platform for an eventual 3rd season.
But…what about Sarah? Leave? Betray? And John?
I hope finale will be “right”.

If the betrayal is a true betrayal of John by Cameron then I say phooey to the writers for basically yanking us along by the noses with all these scenes with Cameron supposedly trying to be “good” or at least interested in being better than her original Skynet design.
That would just be poor writing IMHO.

Cameron is only a ‘muse’. There sure are a lot of projections as to what its(not her) inner ‘feelings’ are. There aren’t any - its a machine. No matter how ‘cute’ R2-D2 is, at the end of the day, it’s still a glorified toaster.

A new side to Cameron, I hope it’s the side that’s done listening to Sarah.
Remember way back in S&D when Cameron was rebooted? Her first reaction to seeing John was “Terminate.” Afterwards, it said override or something. Perhaps that’s the “deep down, you wanna kill me” part. Her mission is to kill John now, but she saw some reason to keep him alive. Perhaps this reason is something other than the fact that he is the future leader of the resistence?
Pretty far stretch, comparing a self aware terminator from the future to a toaster. The only thing my toaster protects me from is non-burnt toast………….and it doesn’t look that good in a purple leather coat. She is the most self aware terminator we’ve ever seen. She’s capable of things we’ve never considered.
I’ve mentioned this in several blogs, but it bears repeating here: we don’t know Cameron. JF & Co have been very careful to make sure we know nothing about Cameron’s motivations (same as for Catherine). We don’t know if she’s in it for herself, Skynet, or a rogue faction. We only have her memories or her statements as to how she aligns, and even then…she’s admitted that she lies.
I’m mostly just seeing if JF is actually going to commit. Seems like it. I doubt that it’s going to result in Cam being “Uncle Bob” redux. It’s been done. So, I think the reprogramming thing is out the window (as I’ve believed for a while) and it was just some subterfuge to calm the fears of the truly paranoid (*cough* Sarah *cough*). I like the rogue faction idea as that keeps Cameron on the fence for the future. So why not something like: Cam and Cat are of the rogue faction…except this time Cam’s answer to John ends up being “No” and Cat’s MPA-representing answer is now upgraded to “maybe”. (Cat can’t say “yes” because MPA terms are just too powerful…gives John too much of an advantage too early.)
But, if Cam is all sweetness and light, John might still have trouble with this “important thing” that Cam lied about. So, while even though Cam stays loyal, John still feels betrayed and tells Cameron to leave until/unless he calls her back. It’s not that he’d believe she was going to kill him, but because he can’t quite reconcile the lie with now not knowing what Cameron’s true motivations are. Who Cameron is.
Like I’ve been writing all season, Cameron provides a lot of fun possibilities. Cat doesn’t quite have the fan base, but she’s just as deliciously enigmatic. Can’t hardly wait to see how this turns out.
It’s odd that people are willing to accept human like intelligence in machines but not human like emotions when there is little difference in how intellect and emotion are created in the human brain.

Ahem! Matt Murch? Am I the only one here that knows the characters’ first names? During the episode The Last Voyage of the Jimmy Carter we see John Henry talking with Weaver about the strange resignatins of former Zeria Corp. workers and two letters of resignation, that have not yet been dated, by one James Ellison AND one Walter Murch (you can see his first name displayed on the large viewing screen).
Anywayyy new side of Cameron? In my opinion any side of Cameron is a good side of Cameron as long as it’s not me she’s trying to kill. Two new sides though? Well there’s the obvious romance one, if she and JC finally hook up that is. Two seasons of sexual tension is more than enough for me. Let them get it out of their systems already. All of this “Will they?” “Won’t they?” is starting to get away from suspense and going to simple annoyance. The only other side of Cameron that we have yet to see is dead Cameron. Right now I say it’s about 50/50.
Somethings going to happen though, that’s for sure.

I saw that “TSCC renewed” topic on IMDB, it’s fake. The author mentions the news will come around June following the T: Salvation results at the box office.
However Fox releases their Fall schedule by May 18th. If we’re lucky, TSCC’s fate will be known before then.

I’m partially dreading Friday, as it could very well be the last new ep we’ll ever see.
It sucks even more not knowing. I mean, the last time a show I loved got canceled was Everwood, but at least I knew it was hopeless like, a week er so before it aired.
I would be emailing everyone I could, but it feels useless. The only thing that matters is how many people watch. if it doesn’t even reach 4 mil viewers we have a real problem I think for it being a finale and all. every fan could email these advertisers and such but if the numbers are low its kinda moot.
Why isn’t Fox promoting this more? if memory serves (and I might be wrong) they didn’t advertise it at all during House this week. they need to be pushing this as hard as they can.

Yes Summer is quite unique, with a huge fan base that seems to be growing daily.
With such a huge fan base as Summer has, perhaps Fox will take notice and that will carry on into their decision regarding renewing TSCC or not. If its just about the numbers to them, Summer can be Summer without having to change herself at all, and bring the numbers in.

Oh and for the IVy awards - Lena Heady gets bigger and bigger adventage over the others every day, 2 days ago she had 34%, now its 38%
Same for Summer Glau, yesterday she was still 2nd, now she got in front of Elizabeth Mitchell and is numero uno. Its funny how most of the polls have ~2k votes and then the one in which Summer appears has 2.8k
BUT its still a small amount of votes, when it reaches hundreds of thousands like the favorite-tv-stars/female/ everything might change
With the new Terminator movie, Summer Glau really coming into her own and becoming a houselhold name, the shows writing and story lines coming into their prime I would have to believe that FOX surely must see the future of this show is brighter than ever. If they’ve held on this long they have to stay the course because presumably the payoff is right around the corner.

Cammy can’t be on Skynet side unless you can explain why she killed so many of their agents, even without telling the Connors, at night; you’d have also to explain the sincere concern she manifested when she said : “I can’t let anything happen to John.” before running to his rescue in Mexico. It even surprised Derek to hear her tone, remember.
She can’t be on Weaver’s side either since she negociated with that rogue faction an alliance.
Cameron is pretty much there for the protection of JC. The means that she is going to use to achieve her mission will be the real surprise… if we get a season 3 that is. I was pretty optimistic about that most of the day, until I read Josh saying that it is being quite optimistic to even believe that the show is ‘on the bubble’. That was a bit depressing and even made me a bit angry: realism is for after the defeat. When fighting one must be ready to give one’s all, Derek style.

This season has had a lot of angst, no that I mind, and if there was an award for that T:SCC would win hands down. In my opinion angst is one of the key ingredients to any good drama or story. The conflict that creates leads to change and in the case of T:SCC a lot of change has happened, some good some bad, but in the end I think everyone will be better off than at the start of the season. It won’t be the picture perfect storybook ending, nor would I want it to be! Those kinds of endings never happen in real life and before anything else T:SCC deals with real life issues: death, a troubled family, growing up, and… that’s all I can think of right now. At the start of the season John was very childish and innocent it seemed but now, at the end, we see a much more older and ready John Connor.
I only wish I had Cameron as my bodyguard…
Now for my trivia question…
Before the season two premiere Fox aired over a dozen different promos one of which included a song sang by a famous rock group, it actually identifies the song at the start of the promo (like you would see in many music videos) what was the name of that song and the group that sings it?

I have it on my Serenity Collectors Edition DVD (I really wanted to see the documentary that‘s why I got that DVD set.)
She worked really hard on those fight scenes. Very impressive work. I love seeing all the behind the scene’s action that shows you how much work goes into making a film.

Snake I agree when you watch the Serenity movie its impressive but when you see the work that she put into it wow!!! Makes you appreciate those scene’s more. First time I saw the documentary (which I wish would have been longer) I was very impressed. She did a great job and it does look like she studied it for years. Like you said amazing!
I hope we get some nice documentaries on the TSCC season 2 set…and of course a season 3!!! I want to see more stunt work.

Thier needs to be a another season so we know who wins because i doubt T4 will cover that. The other thing is y make John Henry the way it ended they could have season 3 but have it be about the John Connor. If it was me the new movie is going to bring a bigger fan base but they should get Arnold to be in a episode since his term as gov. is going to be over. I do hope if they don’t do a season 3 that the movie T4 ties in. But i think if they don’t do a season 3 we should boycot the rest of the shows because i bet the people who watch this also watch simpsons and the rest of the sunday line up and that would mean about a 5 million drop in ratings on some of thier other shows.
So what’s the shocking connection to Kaliba? I’m guessing Skynet-working-through-Kaliba sent the drone to blow up Weaver’s office. Is that it?

Regardless if FOX has not given the axe to TSCC officially it sure seemed like it did unofficially.
ABC did the same thing with “Life on Mars” where they ADVERTISED it was a season finale and then later it turned into a series finale.
They cut the head off of venus de milo and created an end that was short and sour seeming to ellude, confuse, frustrate and dilute the story if it does comeback which most likely it won’t.
This is due to time, ratings, money constraints(probably ad revenue) and dumb executives who do not connect with the people who watch their show(s).
It is not worth giving the benefit of the doubt to FOX executives that the show is coming back.
The show essentially ended in a form which one can conclude this is where Terminator One originated from and then he sends his dad back to the past and begins the cycle again so John Connor can exist to stop the machines while he persists in the future which is why in the scenes from the future you never see John Connor because he is a kid and it would have ruined the show.
They did tie the show up in a bow but we the fans are dissapointed with the packaging.
to add-Yahoo wrote an article indicating TSCC will most likely be axed, they released the article the same day as the last show.
FOX, we really NEED the third season of TSCC.
